The worst thing happened to me yesterday.
I was sitting at my desk doing art homework like the good student that I am and I was watching firefly. I selected to watch 'objects in space' (for like the 50th time...I love that ep) and the whole screen went black and it wouldnt play and then said that it couldnt read the disc. I took the disk out of my ps2 and found out that the ps2 had frazzled the disc. There was a huge bubble on the back which wasnt there when I put it in!! So I now have no firefly disc 4!!! You would not believe how angry I was!! I picked up the ps2 and threw it on the floor and the wall where something cracked...Sony sucks anyway, and yes, I need anger management. So now, I have no firefly disc 4 and no dvd player to watch the other discs on. Anybody have a spare region 2 disc 4, unlikely I know. The only good thing that I can think can come out of this is that Im gonna have to buy a new firefly boxset which will increase sales and increase possiblity of season 2...*fingers crossed*

NOOOOOOO!
You lost all your shirtless Simon! I think I'd die if I lost that ep! (not just for shirtless Simon, I just adore that episode anyways)
Looking on the bright side though, you're right, buying another set increases our chances of a new series (or more likely, a sequel) Did you call Sony? Because I really don't think that their equipment should be turning discs into bubblebaths....you might be able to claim some kind of compensation or something.

I think the fact that I rammed the ps2 into the wall after it happened will slim my chances of a refund... thanks for the concern tho'. As soon as I realized you had replyed to the thread I knew the first thing you would say is no more shirtless simon. And to be honest, that was one of the reasons I was gonna rewatch the ep before the incident...What a pair of pervs.

I don't watch dvds on my PS2 anymore. I think that's what caused my last PS2 to go "belly up". I asked the guy at Gamestop, and he said that it's best to just play games on them because this seems to be a common problem.

When I got my Angel 5 set, the last disc had a gouge in it. Make the episodes go wonky. Well I cheated. I rented it from netflix and replaced my disc with theirs.

Seeing that a work at Netflix...
No, kidding. My bad and sick humour. Anyway, that sucks. Ugh, now I have to watch out with my PS2 as I always watch Firefly on it. Well, I'll just have to buya new set if they explode... or bubble or whatever.
Weird thing is... all of them are on my comptuer for some reason. I guess I can now play them on my computer. So buying a new set would be the best thing.

Fox does offer a damaged DVD replacement plan. It costs about $7 or $8, but that would be something I recommend people check out. If any disc comes damaged it should be returned to the store.
