Yes, I'm aware that they are the same sculpt, I was just saying they are not the "same arms" since they've been painted differently. I was mostly referring to the fact that some people thought the Kennedy Jacket was just Kendras placed on the wrong figure...which wouldnt look right since the hands are different.
They are even the same arms as the Buffy and Faiths from 2 years ago (except for the fisted hand).

Michael, thanks for the review; nice pictures and good write-up, as always.
I am officially worried with regard to the status of the remaining Willow variants... Michael, are the other Willows (Tough Love, Halloween and Dopplegangland vamp) on the cardback?!
I fear that the same will happen to them as the missing Faith variants... Which sucks as Tough Love Willow was the one I wanted most (and not just me!).

I've already said a million times not to worry about the variants. Once a figure gets past a certain point in the manufacturing process, it is more or less guaranteed to be released, the Willow variants have made it that far. They will be coming, just be patient.
Sanctuary Faith is all tooled up as well, so she'll more than likely get released as well.

Cool review.
They all look good, though I'm still tempted to use Kennedy as a replacement for "Fred" in my Angel grouping (especially as I'm not a fan of Kennedy's character).
Will definitely get Regular Chosen Willow and Kendra. Not sure on Kennedy.
Some of the choices seem a bit odd. I would have hoped they'd give Willow two "open" hands instead of a fist as it doesn't seem that suitable for Willow. And it would have been good if they'd at least given Kennedy the "jacket with pockets" sculpt they used for EOD Buffy instead of the same "plain" jacket that Kendra comes with just to help differentiate the figures a bit more.
All in all, looking forward to getting Kendra and Willow.
Am also hoping we see Vampire Willow released (with an alternate "human" head though I know that's probably asking for too much from DST).
Cheers, Haeph.

I don't know if all will be said at SDCC...but I too am pretty sure we will be seeing the Willow Variants.

What a fantastic review Michael! I really enjoy your reviews and also because it hits me that they'll be coming out soon. 2-3 weeks, I can get them just after my birthday as a belated present ;D I am amazed at how well these figures turned out! I love them all. Kendra looks phenomenal! And Kennedy looks gorgeous too! And I'm glad that she comes with a jacket as well. I can't wait to get these two! 'Chosen' Willow and White Witch Willow look great too! Maybe DST are saving the three Willow variants to be released toward the end of the year. It would give us the 2 deluxe lines a year we've been asking for, although it would be better with new characters if they were going to release another line this year. I love these! And I love your review, thank you!

Sanctuary Faith is all tooled up as well, so she'll more than likely get released as well. Ehm, do you have inside information on that? Otherwise, you can say it another million times and it could still mean nothing. As far as I know, we have had NO confirmation that the missing Faith variants and Grave Giles have been tooled, all we have seen is the prototypes. And we never see prototype toys that never make it into production? Personally, I've given up on the Faith variants; after the Judge wave, it's doubtful we'll see any more figures like that. The fact that the Willow variants are not listed on the cardback is a pretty bad sign; didn't the previous deluxe waves always show all six figures? Here's hoping SDCC will bring good news. The fact that TL Willow is in high demand should help, but then again, I think Sanctuary Faith was probably the most well-loved Faith as well...

OK, I am sorry then FM, I guess that does count as "inside information".
I agree that once the moulds exist, it would make sense for DST to start making the figures, but still, they could have decided not to invest more money (in plastic, painting, packaging, shipping) if they don't believe in the product.
As far as the Willows go, while I hope that the variants are in production, we have had no confirmation of this... I hope my scepticism will prove unfounded, though!

Ah yes! I've been waiting on this Willow for years! ANd thanks as alwaysfor an excellent review MC! I was slightly worried about Willow's head size and how she would look with everyone else, but the group shot at the end makes it look ok. I will definitely get Willow, and probably even Kennedy and Kendra too. Can't wait - I was SOOO afraid history would repeat and - just like Moore when the Willow wave was due next - they'd cancel the line entirely. Luckily it seems like my Chosen/WWWDlx is pretty sure at this point!

They all look good, though I'm still tempted to use Kennedy as a replacement for "Fred" in my Angel grouping (especially as I'm not a fan of Kennedy's character). That's the same thing I thought when I saw the prototype last year. It's kind of funny to see the Kennedy with a smile. Her character wasn't a cheery one like Willow or Fred. If it didn't have the smile, it may have looked more like Kennedy than Fred.

I think the Kennedy has a great likeness. And really captures the excitment she had for most of Chosen when Willow was doing the spell and she got empowered and ran to join the others.

Awesome review thanks Michael.
I really like the look of them. They have very big eyes...but look nice.
Kennedy does look like Fred!!!
I also really hop all the other Willows make it out eventually.

Me too! I really see Kennedy there, although I don't think she's really an essential addiction to my collection I'm not a big fan of the character and she's almost like Kendra with a different head sculpt, so I'd go with Kendra all the way.
