I just read this article, it says that they may release product that was already scheduled. I'm just hoping that the series 3 PALZ and the props that they were going through Factory X will still come out. It's a shame that they announced the Angel line, with the license for Angel PALZ and Angel Props and then they had to go under.

It's a shame that they announced the Angel line, with the license for Angel PALZ and Angel Props and then they had to go under. They never even worked up to prototypes for Series 3, they only had computer generated pictures. I think it's dead in the water.

There will be no Third Series of Buffy PALz, no Fourth Series, no Tara, no Faith, no Dark Willow, no "Chosen" Buffy, no more. It's not a matter of certain lines being canceled, it's a matter of the company, Palisades (the company) is through. This applies to all lines Palisades was working on, and all future lines they had in store for us. I never liked block figures such as PALz--I prefer the realistic approach used in most larger figures, and I especially like a 12" figure size. But I sympathize with PALz fans, and I have to ask: aren't PALz potentially very easy to customize, since they're block figures which share most components except for hair and paint? It seems like PALz collectors could have an easier time "completing" their collections by customizing their own new characters, than fans of other formats would. Not quite the same as having official releases, and no "special" pieces like Snake Mayor (unless you make your own out of sculpey, which could be fun)--but it ought to be a silver lining of sorts that the simplicity of the PALz bodies should allow for good customs using little more than new sculpey hair and some paint. All the unmade variations mentioned in the quoted post, for example, seem pretty easy to visualize--even some easy to make accessories come to mind. Maybe now's a good time for PALz fans to start stocking up on cheap figures and to practice facepainting and sculpting hair. The end of the PALz line could be the beginning of a thriving PALz custom community.

action-figure has an article on Palisades and their absence: www.action-figure.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=18969This is extremely sad. The PALz were such a cool line, and they sold extremely well. At suncaost they usually sold out in the first week of being availible. Series three was going to be awesome wave. I still have yet to find a series 2 Spike so I can complete my judge. I really wish there would be some type of announcement, maybe by some miracle they would release series three or another company would pic them up...

Sucks. Guess we will never see the Urb of Osaris or Anyas Amulet...both of which I was looking forward to.

Sucks. Guess we will never see the Urb of Osaris or Anyas Amulet...both of which I was looking forward to. Not that we can trust it 100% anymore, but on their own boards a Palisades spokesman said just a few days ago that the Scythe is still being released by February and that Anyanka's Amulet is currently in production at the factory. I really, really hope that those statements are true. I have the Scythe preordered, and the Amulet would be nice too. As for the rest, since they weren't mentioned I'm guessing they're nonexistent, and will probably stay that way... If the Scythe doesn't ship after all this continuing assurance even now, my head will explode...

I too hope that this is true for Anyanka's Amulet and the Scythe. As for the rest of them not being produced that really sucks. I really wanted the Urn of Osiris, Spike's Amulet, The Gem of Amara, The Gentlemens Box, and Buffys diploma (that wasn't officially annonced) as well as the Glove of Mynneghon. I really wanted them to come out with Mr. Pointy.

Doesn't work for them, never has. She emails questions to the relevant people and passes on the responses. From what I understand, the people at Palisades making those promises - well, many of them were caught off-guard as well. It's a privately held company, so the owner doesn't have to announce things in advance. I would love to see the props still outstanding, but I'm not going to hold my breath for any of them.
