Got this from FP
"Unfortunately we are still waiting for the manufacturers to release the scythe for retail, but they still have not issued us with a guaranteed date. Please do rest assured that as soon as this item comes into our stocks it will be dispatched to you straight away, and accept our sincere apologies for the long delays."

I still say that building a forge and casting our own would be a much simpler, quicker and less painful process.

I just know that when this DOES arrive... it will be absolutely amazing... and we will all completely forget how long it took to get there... so I'm not getting too bent out of shape about it. Just my buddies are... when they say... "dude, did you get your axe yet??"

Factory X's website says that LMTD (or whoever they are) is planning to have this ship in 6 - 8 weeks.. so yet ANOTHER delay, but it looks like it may actually see the light of day this time. Yay for LMTD(or whoever they are)!

www.limitedbycas.com/LMTD/product_info.cfm?ID=PXF172019March 6. Please oh please, make it finally happen... I also really hope the final product is more accurate to the prop than some of FactoryX's previous efforts. The Sword of Angelus, for axample, has an inaccurate hilt and an even more inaccurate blade, when compared to good screencaps of the real screen-used prop. The sword used onscreen appears to be a standard but plain Tizona del Cid style hilt with a largely straight and flat blade, whereas FactoryX's mediocre reproduction has a very different tapered blade and changes the hilt slightly but noticeably. I hope the Scythe has a very accurate look, a very high polish, and is worth the very long wait.

I have to say, this is actually the first time I've ever seen a specific date for the scythe, and not just a vague month or season.
I've been waiting for this thing for almost a year now... God I hope it comes soon...

I actually heard off of my friend who had it ordered then cancelled it, he said to me that Forbidden Planet told him that it has been cacncelled. It was delayed because production had stopped because of some problems. So it may never be happening now.

Yeah, that's not true. I just talked with the President of Limited (the company now producing the Scythe) the other day and he said it was "on the water" right now. So, it will be out fairly shortly now.

At this point, I'll only believe anything once I either have the Scythe in my hands or my money back.
