I'm not sure when it'll be out but I can guess on price. Factory X seems to like to jack up the price on things. The slayer stake is selling at the buffy collector club for 79 dollars and is on the factory X site for 115. With that in mind, I think it'd be safe to assume it'll be around the 275-325 Range. Which, if you ask me is crap, but since no one asked me..

Do you not have a friend who's over 18 who can pre-order it for you? Cause FP asked me to send them ID before they placed my order. I'm really surprised that its only £150 - thought we'd get well bumped in the UK! Oh - Angelus's sword is just released - so hopefully scythe will follow soon after!!

According to Cinequest the release for the Scythe is late summer. I can't wait to own it, it's so amazing.
I preordered mine through Time and Space Toys for $239.99.

A shipping update from Time and Space Toys has it slated to come out in August. I can't wait to get the Scythe. It's definately going to be worth spending all that money for if it's as cool as the sword.

I want the scythe so much! But 300 dollars isn't in my price range. I hope the weapon stores by me gets a few in (they get everything in, LOTR weapons and everything) and they have really good deals.
I guess I may try to ebay-it or hunt it down... hmm...

I guess I may try to ebay-it or hunt it down... hmm... I think I may cancel my preorder now. It's been a year since the original "release date" and I'm a bit tired of waiting for this to come out when there's much cooler stuff coming out soon.

I think I'm going to use my money from my preorder for an Xbox 360, something that will actually be of use. The scythe is nice, but its nothing more than a fancy display piece.

I've been getting a little impatient waiting for this prop, too. Especially since I was looking at it at Wizard World Chicago in the beginning of August and I asked when its ACTUALLY being released and the guy said SEPTEMBER for sure. Well, that is the first victim of my scythe when I finally get it.
I won a great deal of money last January at the casino, so I had them charge me for the scythe back in January, so it will feel good when this finally comes out and having it paid for already.
Its still pretty damn sweet.

WizardWorld Boston I was next to a guy complaining about all the delays. The Palisades rep said it was because of Fox legal realizing someone could be hurt with it. "But it's a dull blade," the fan said. But it's still a large blunt weapon, and it does have a pointed tip. So that was his reason for all the delays. Latest estimate is December I think he said. As the disgruntled fan walked away I heard another rep say something about how that wasn't really the reason... so who knows for sure.

I had a letter come today saying that the scythe is allegedly being released in December, I won't hold my breath though. What I am concerned about is the price hike that we keep getting on the prop replicas.... The scythe has gone up from original price of £149.99 to £189.99 from FP, following in the footsteps of the stake and the Vampyr book.
