I am thinking about this, and it's not really a complaint, it's just something I would like to hear your views on it. After all the umming and erring from Moore, it seemed at times they were letting the tension build for a big announcment. They make it, the uncancellation of the figures but then their thunder is totally and utterly stolen by Sideshow's announcement. Do you think Sideshow planned to upstage Moore? I mean, dont get me wrong, i REALLY want those figures, especially Riley, Adam and Vamp Willow, but something I have always wanted, more than the 5 inch line, is a continuation of the 12 inchers. So even though I was extatic about the uncancellation, as soon as I heard about the 12 inchers, the uncancellation became an afterthought, to be honest. I mean looking at those sculptures, there is nothing more I want right now than those figures, epsecially Faith. So I ask ye.....do you think it was a calculated move, or pure coincidence? (which personally, I find it hard to believe). But on the other hand, it wouldnt' really do sideshow much good to upstage moore, unless they are trying to show fans that they mean buisness while Moore floundered. Discuss!

After all, if MAC hadn’t changed their mind then these 12" figures would’ve been the only Buffy/ Angel action figures on the market.

I don't think Sideshow did it on purpose. If they already have prototypes, then they've been working on these new 12" figures for a while now. Most likely way before the cancellation was announced by MAC on July 4th. Either way I'm glad they have the stones to make a toy line and RELEASE IT!

I am guessing the announcement of the sideshow line was timed more with the start of angel's fall season than with stealing moore's thunder. I think the collector's market is in a buffy buying frenzy at the moment. I was at the comic book sotre the other day and a collectibles magazine had "Buy Buffy Stuff" in huge letters on the front cover.
