$40.00!!!!!! i dont think so! Basically, theyre Buffy and Angel Barbie Dolls with better sculpts and more articulation. Barbies cost what $10.00? No way im paying $80.00 for 2 Barbies Well they are very well sculptured. But you are right they are too expensive, especially when you can get MAC statues for almost the same price.

They will probably show up at Suncoasts, Tower Records, and comic shops. The "Hush" Buffy dolls were clearanced so you might have a chance to pick them up cheaper.

I just noticed MyPopStore got these for preorder as well for 32$ each but I think I’ll just wait till these figures get little bit cheaper if I want to buy MAC statues and the upcoming MAC figures as well.

Wow $40 each is a bit steep. I remember buying the last set for $100. I think I will be waiting on these figures even though they look amazing!

I've been living in a cave for weeks and just discoverred these yesterday, they look so cool! I ALWAYS wanted MAC to make a grsduation Day Buffy like that...might have to invest in this, and those likenesses are very cool.

I had hoped Buffy would come with Faith's knife. I think $40 is worth it but that's me. I guess it could be much cheaper, considering they just used the headscuplt from thier previous figure and just modified it.

*weeps* WHY do these toy companies want to make me poor(er) the first Sideshow dolls were $25 dollars each! Then they entice me with these pretty puppies and jack them up 15 more dollars!! not fair. but, LOOK at that Angel...and they plan to make Faith and Spike too!

I'm pre ordering, just in case. The last ones were kinda snuck out on the shelves, so you still can get a few here for cheap today. But the amount of people this series has hyped already, then I am gonna pre order so I don't miss out.

Also, who ever compared these to barbies......oooooook. Im not too thrilled about the steep prices, but theres are strictly limited edition, and well, can you blame a company to wanting to cover production costs, let alone shipping? These are like pieces of art, in my opinion, 3d monumnents to a beautiful show.
And true, the Gentlmen were at clearence, for one reason....despite some minor differences, three gentlemen are essentially the same. So they weren't all that limited, since I HIGHLY doubt people thought "hmm, I have Gentlmen A, but i REALLY want to shell out for all three". Im sure some people did, but essentially, they were the same figure. Spike, Buffy, Angel and Faith are ALL highly popular charecters, and totally different, so I wouldn't expect any of these to hit clearence any time in the future. If you wait, I garuentee you will probably pay a fourtune for them in the future.

Well they are very well sculptured. But you are right they are too expensive, especially when you can get MAC statues for almost the same price. Saying that though, what would you HONESTLY rather pay $40 for.....some of the best sculpted action figures ever, full body, arculation, acessorised, posable and impeccable detail, or a neck and a head?

Well, previously they released Buffy (a highly popular character) as well and now she can be bought for 14$ and even 9$ on ebay: search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2F&krd=1&from=R8&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=Buffy+sideshowSo I doubt it won’t happen to the new figures as well.

Well, the 12” figures only have a sculptured head…the rest is just a generic body and real fabric clothes. Moore’s statues have fully sculptured body, clothes and base. Plus, the details are amazing and yet they cost only 5$ more then the 12” figures (made of plastic). I’m not judging people who intended to buy these figures for 40$, I’m just explaining you my point of view on Sideshow’s prices.

I think these prices are a bit too much as well. $40 is not worth it...not for these. I wasn't really interested in the first line of Sideshow Buffy dolls, and my non-existent interest persists for this line as well.

Well as for the expense...it costs ALOT of money to do that articulation stuff. All the rest of teh sideshow stuff costs about that much as well. I wish it were less but thems the breaks I guess. Alot of the 12" figures costs WAY more than that so we should consider ourselves lucky.
I'll just be getting Senor Angel as the Buffy from the first set suits me just fine. I just hope the new buffy can hold her stakes...that really chapped my hide about the first buffy. So i have one of my fahsion dolls weilding buffy's stake instead. he he he
