Hey all I'm new here but saw the site and am a big collector of the Buffy/Angel figs and have the original Sideshow Buffy fig and ordered the new ones Buffy, Angel, Spike, Faith, and Vamp Willow. As I've read on here the Faith and Vamp Willow are less than stellar sculpts and I'm debating on cancelling my order as I only collect figures with dead on likenesses to the character. I personally think the Vamp Willow was a poor choice anyway until the main BTVS characters are made. I mean when do we get a regular Willow, Xander, and Giles. Not to mention Cordy, Tara, Anya (with limited edition bunny outfit), Druscilla before even starting with all the possible varient figures that could be done (Vamp Angel and Spike, maybe even Vamp Buffy from the Nightmares episode). I would personally like to have the entire scooby gang in 1/6 scale if the likenesses are top notch. I just wondered what characters or versions everyone else whose picking these up would like next. Take care Murderofcrows71

Regular Willow, Xander and Giles are apparently next on the table. BTW, I'm glad you said that you only 'personally' thought Vampire Willow was a poor choice, because personally I think it's a fantastic choice. One of my favourite characters, and the figure seems to be coming along nicely. If you haven't seen updated pics, you definitely should. Far better than what was originally revealed. I can see where you're coming from when you say that you would have liked a regular Willow first, but from a line longievity point of view I think Sideshow know what they are doing. If they brought out regular Willow first, there may not have been a market for the Vampire version as well. Meaning I may have never got one of my favourites from Sideshow . Once the changes - which are continuing - to Vampire Willow are considered, I'd say that Faith is the only disappointing figure in the line. The likeness isn't there, but it still looks like decent overall figure to me, and I hardly want to be with left with an 'incomplete' line, especially if it starts to expand further.

Psssssst. Regular Willow is next. We don't actually know that to be the case. In fact I highly doubt it. Particularly from a sales point of view. She is definitely on the cards, but just because her accessory list was 'accidently' revealed doesn't mean she is next. They could have compiled specifications for five other figures which will come before her, but are unknown because they didn't have 'variants' coming out to cause confusion for the webmaster. Just my 2cents, anyway.

Yeah I saw the re vamped (no pun intended) Vamp Willow and have to say it still doesn't look anything like she did in the two episodes she was in, at least to me. I've been making custom figures and head sculpts for years as an artist and am not impressed with either the Faith or the new Vamp Willow which looks like the mouth has been changed and that's about it. As for the choice, yeah I think Vamp Will is a cool character but with Diamond releasing two versions of the 6 inch Vamp Will soon and Sideshow without a Willow at all, it just seems kinda dumb to release a figure only in two episodes of the entire series, while the regulars haven't been completed. Oh well, I guess I'll just wait and see, but what off this proposed regular WIllow fig, where can I read what accessories are intended to go with? Also does anyone know if Sideshow plans on delving into the charactes on ANGEL as well or just BTVS? By the way I'm currently shopping around at professional puppet makers to make a full size version of the Angel puppet, If I find anything out I'll be sure to contact anyone who's interested. I've done some comparisons and whilst Sideshow's Willow's head isn't photo-realistc, in terms of accuracy it's leagues ahead of M.A.C.'s.
The costume still leaves a little to be desired, but I've heard they're still working on that.
I think it was mentioned in another thread, and I agree. When doing a comparison the corst of Sidesho's Anna (from Van Helsing) is far more detailed/accurate to source than Willow's.
I definitely don't think Sideshow will release variants to anything near the extent of M.A.C. I think Vampire Willow may even be a special case, as she really is a unique character. Look at the M.A.C. line. About a billion variants, and they still haven't made The Judge. Grrrr.
edit: Well, I don't know if this is the 'complete' list, but for a short time Sideshow had these accessories listed for an additional Willow:
-Tranquiliser Gun -Amy the Rat.

Sideshow Brant himself said in a post that normal Willow was next. Her accessories were mistakenly listed at first on the Vamp Willow page as an exclusive.

No Magic books huh? Now that you mention those two things I think I do remember seeing it on there at one time. Oh well so does the possible inclusion of a trank gun hint at a possible OZ figure soon? Which begs another question: of the characters yet to come out what accessories would you give them or want to see? I think I already said a bunny or bunny costume for Anya, Oz would have to come with a guitar which should be easy for sideshow to just repaint one of the Spinal Tap figs axe. What about Xander, removable eye patch possibly?military weapons? And if they get around to a Giles, would we want the stuffy three piece suit version or the more casual later seasons one? Sideshow Brant himself said in a post that normal Willow was next. Her accessories were mistakenly listed at first on the Vamp Willow page as an exclusive. Do you have a link to that post? From what I read, he confirmed the mistake, and ultimately the existence of another Willow. But nowhere have I seen any indication that she will be the next figure after Vampire Willow. Thanks .

Well you read the same post I did. I think it was over at that Sideshow board that you linked to...but I'm not sure. I could be wrong but I thought he said something along the lines of 'she'll be up for preorder soon.' It is true that he only said another version of Willow, but if it's not a normal human version, I'd be shocked. So I interpreted it as normal Will is next in line, but again I might be confused.

I personally would like to see all the main characters done. I think that Sideshow is doing a really nice job with this line, much better then the first one. I hope they use the sculptor that did Buffy, Angel, and Spike for the rest of the line though. He did an excellent job.

Danman, I definitely think that a regular Willow will be the next Willow to come out of Sideshow. But I just don't think it will be the next figure after Vampire Willow. I believe we'll get Xander and Giles together, and then regular Willow later on.
Buffy, I agree that the sculptor of Buffy, Angel and Spike should continue working on the line. Even though the Vampire Willow doesn't demonstrate his ability for likeness (simply due to the vampire design), I believe that Andy Bergholtz should also do some more Buffy figures. He sculpted the amazing Scully and CSM figures from the X-Files line.

I love the sideshow figures... I just order Buffy, and Sideshow exclusive Faith... That alone cost 87 dollers... Ordering the rest costs a fortune... What stores will carry them?

Thanks, I can't wait to get mine. Also I think maybe a variant buffy from the season 5 finally would be cool. Not likely but still. It wouldn't be too hard, the could use the same head and sculpt. Yea Im done with my dreaming now.
