If you asked this 1 year ago I'd say "Hell yeah!" BUT seeing how we don't even know if we'd see any more figures, at all - I'd say the chances for a Gunn figure are rather slim.

I'm afraid I had to go with no This is my first post here as I just got into Buffy figures (the deluxes) and I think we're going to be lucky to get the Willow variants let alone any sculpts that aren't already tooled. One ask DST would go so far right now. From what I gather JusticeDemon works for DST and loved Buffy figures, why isn't he here telling us what's going on? I read the interview that DST did saying that "Buffy figures are far from over" well alot of good that's going to do after DST has alienated the Buffy fans and customers that they do have by ignoring us and leaving us hanging. I'm confused

I'd have to say unfortunately no. I really wanted one but with them staking the figures to death, we aren't getting any more. With no news at all from Diamond since the statement, no new items shown, no anything whatsoever. I'd hate to say it but who even knows how long the essence line will last.

I'm confused Welcome aboard! JD is indeed working for DST but as you can see he's no longer in contact with us; neither are DST. For some reason they simply cut us off with no explanations or any word at all, so what they say in interviews is not very valid. Actions speak louder than words - and in this case it couldn't be any more true.

haha overall the chances are pretty slim then?
Yeah I agree. Funny how things changed though. Things seemed pretty optimistic with the BAF days, especially when Gunn won the polls. Then we found out TST were only going for an already tooled figure.
Looks like the DLX's may have more of a chance now. DST seem to have something planned, and we shouldn't expect any new ones till summer next year anyway.

Yeah I think that with all of the silence sorrounding the deluxe line that it will continue which suits me fine as the deluxe figures are IMO the best thing to ever come from DST. I just hope that wave 4 is going to be Halloween Willow, Dopplegangland Vampire Willow, Tough Love Willow, and the figure that I want the very most, Human Dopplegangland Willow. The Chosen Willow head on Dopplegangland Willow body with Dopplegangland hair. I want a decent early season Willow more than anything else. I wonder if Crush Dru is going to have the Variant Willows on the back of her package? I can't wait to get her and see.

What I don't get is why DST won't try to release the remaining deluxe figure now? I mean holiday season is the best time of the year to insure good sales; so where's the logic?

Yeah, DST could have at least attempted something to get Halloween Willow out by Halloween. Or at least get preorders going by then. They really aren't trying much anymore. What's worst of all is that after Dlx Series 3, almost every probable dlx part would have been produced. It would have been unbelievable easy to make a "Gift" Willow and Tara set, or even a WTTH Willow if they just mixed and mashed parts. A OMWF Willow could have even been done with just a new torso. The deluxe line could have really taken off

I think they could have done a OMWF Willow using the TL Skirt, legs and lower torso, OMWF Buffy arms, and Halloween Willow Upper torso with an under shirt painted on the flesh part under the V neck. That would have been close enough to make me be happy...especially with a good paint job.

I'm sure BCC/TST will fund at least one more exclusive figure. Since Gunn was the most-requested, I bet it'll be him. I said "unfortunately" in the poll because if BCC does what they suggested we'll have yet another figure with that same Wesley body. I was sick of that being used for Wes long before it was reused for Giles and Spike! I really wish someone would break that mold.
I'd LOVE a Gunn figure, but it'll be bittersweet if he costs more than past figures and only has a new head sculpt. Total disservice to the character.

It is a sad coincedence that it's the body reused the most, yet probably the worst sculpt of all of the DST figures. I'd be over-joyed if DST decided to do an awesome Gunn with bells on. He's got some great accessory potential and a hooded version would go down better with every fan I'd wager. As it is though, I'd just be happy to get the head out there ( although it may end up coming out at a stupid scale)

Well... maybe not so much that JD left, as he doesn't post here anymore. I guess it's the same thing though The last time he posted, I think, was a few months ago when he posted a list of stuff he was selling in the BST section.
