Lots of new stuff, lots of reviews tonight. I should have more Buffy and Angel stuff in the next couple weeks, including reviews of the two latest Sideshow figures. But tonight is my review of the new Parting Gifts and Rain of Fire Wesley's, two of the four or five new Wes' out there right now from Diamond Select. This isn't their best work, but it's not their worst either. I like Parting gifts the best, since it's such a turning point in the character, going from Buffy to Angel. You can check out all the reviews at the usual: www.mwctoys.comThanks for reading! Michael MWC

Thanks Mike, you mind if I call you Mike, Mike? Anyway, I always love reading your reveiws, you take so many great pics and give such great descriptions. I have now decided I do want a Parting Gifts Wesley, but I am definitely more happy with my S4 Wes rather than Rain Of Fire Wes, I wasnt sure how alike they were until I saw these pics and now I realise that they are close enough that there is no point in having both plus, WHAT IS UP WITH HIS NEON BLUE SHIRT!?!? Thanka Mikey-Boy...wow the nick-names get worse and worse...

Cool reviews. One of your links says something about recent Willow and Dawn figures, though, and I'm pretty sure you meant Tara.

Also, you mention the episode "Parting Gifts" -- it's actually from Angel Season 1 And about the weapons cabinet, it was designed by MAC just before they called it quits with the line. It probably does hold a bunch of the older accessories... Thanks for the reviews! I'm still debating on whether to get all of the Wesleys, or just the RoF and Bad Girls ones. I still have to get all the Spikes...

He is the best wesley! IMO. Plus his base is a library floor with a bookshelf. His amulet rocks(well technically Balthazar's) and he looks great holding his cross next to vamp wllow and/or dopplegangland willow! Sorry, didn't mean to sound psychotic.

Excellent review as always. I was actually surprised that you gave him such high marks. You are always very fair. Maybe because I'm a huge fan I'm a bit more critical. The eyeglass description was hysterical and dead on. Those things are horrendous. lol.lol.

Coming from someone with the SN of Insanity... The more I think about it, the more I do want that Wes. Like you said, he'll go great with Vamp Willow. I could even have MAC's Cordelia leaning against the bookcase or something MWC - Wesley showed up the episode after Doyle's death, which was at the beginning of Season 1 That was when Cordy found out that she had the visions, hence the episode title "Parting Gifts." Gunn showed up at the end of Season 1, and became a major player in Season 2 onward. Lorne showed up in Season 2 onward... The eyeglass description was hysterical and dead on. Those things are horrendous. lol.lol. Yikes, those things are awful! I couldn't believe how terrible they looked. They look like those old granny glasses, with the wings on the sides. I first saw them in MWC's review... I haven't been following the "I just got..." threads

Yeah, I'll second that- your site is awesome, Michael. Your reviews have talked me out of buying a couple things when I saw how crappy they were, and talked me into adding a few things to my "gotta have one of those!" list.
I still can't believe how horrible those glasses really are. And we were all so excited when we heard Wes came with glasses. I remember wondering if they'd fit Giles. Now, I'm pretty sure my Giles figure wouldn't go near the things. Can't say I blame him...

The glasses are more like swim glasses, they are so bad detailed, a question for Mitch, why you only review two wes, i'll love to read a review of the others.
