This got to be one of my favorite episodes in the series! The writing was absolutely superb - I loved how many reference been made to previous seasons along with lots of very terrific and memorable lines. Also the thrilling story and the mysterious development for this season were a big plus. My only complain is the lack of Xander and Anaya - having Jesse haunting Xander and Hallfrek haunting Anya would added a lot for the episode. IMO, easily 9.8/10! (0.2 points are for the missing characters)

I agree with Lior. We saw too little of Xander and Anya.
But I did enjoy the unique way the episode was shown. How we switched back and forth between all of the different characters.

A horribly muddled episode that reeks of lack of vision and is only saved by good writing. All of the individual strands are good but aren't tied together with a cohesive season plot. Season 7 has a terrible story, and here is where the plot holes and confusion starts. The Buffy segment is the best part. A unique fight scenario that turns into a tight character study. Everything that Buffy does this season is expleained here. The Willow portion is nice and eye-watering, allthough the lack of a certain lesbian ex is very apparent. The nerd section is pretty good. Loads more geek humour until the sudden turn into shocking. Warren is creepy as hell. The seal is uncovered and is one of the season's first vague bullshitty props that too much plot relies on. Dawn's part is pretty effective for filler. Shame the Joyce stuff makes absolutely no sense.
7/10
