A strictly average episode. Not good nor bad. The gang has some funny lines but the whole thing is quite boring. 5 out of 10.

I would go further than saying the episode is simply average. For me, this is the single worst episode, at least in the first five seasons.
The cowboy vampires are just outright stupid and annoying. The plot is simply terrible as well. But to top everything off, the ending is such a cop-out. And that's saying something considering how bad the episode is. There's no depth at all... no solution to the problem. The ending just suddenly happens.
I really enjoy every Buffy episode expect this one. It just sucks, and is of such a low quality compared to all others (imo).

This episode was ok in my book, I really liked the two lines centered around Buffy and Angel and that's why it still stands as being a good one to me:
Xander: You. Angel. Big. Smootchies. Buffy: Shut. Up.
and..
Willow: And Angel's helping you? Buffy: He does what he can. --cut to making out in the graveyard

Although one of the very suckiest MOTW episodes I didn't hate it. I cringe every time we get such a blatant stereotype, but the Gorch brothers amused me a bit.
And just a thought, wouldn't a tentacle in one's ear wake one up very fast?
Surprisingly this was the script that convinced Joss and David to bring Marti on as a regular writer. Cementing the fans suffering for season 7.

this was actually the first episode i seen that i knew it was buffy (when witch was first shown in u.k i missed the beginning and thought that was some low bubget movie. it wasn't until i really got into buffy and bought season one that i found out). Although it is clearly not a favourite of most of yous, i actually enjoyed it. sure, the plot did kinda suck, but the Xander/Cordelia thing in front of the whole class, and cordelia coming to the library later on and convincing Xander to come help her look in some closets, hilarous. And at the end when Buffy is grounded and she isn't breaking any rules cause her and angel are up at her window.
i give this episode 7/10

Yeah I'm surprised he would hire her after this script but Joss is the man so he must know...

Well, I like this episode…I mean not as much as I love the rest of the season but this episode has its moments. First of all it leads us to the big events in the next episode by showing us how much passion Buffy and Angel developed for each other. Secondly we get a reminder how Buffy’s “professional” life keep screw her normal life. And as much as I don’t like parasite-like monsters, Bizzaoro (spelling?) was quite okay.

I for one thought CWDP was amazing. Also, I love season seven and Marti. This episode though, no. I think Marti wasn't the best of writers. Her episodes were good, but nothing in comparision to episodes written by the other writers, namely: Rebecca Kirshner, Steven DeKnight and Doug Petrie. Oh yah, and I love Conversations With Dead people It has to be one of the best episodes of the series

To me it just felt like filler but it wasn't a specialist filler like comedy, drama or horror it tried to do all of these and failed. The characters just acted so out of character that it didn't feel like a legit episode. Dawn's scenes are the only things that stopped me form turning it off.

Yeah I enjoyed Dawn's scenes the most as they were actually funny unlike Buffy's I also felt that she was the only one who acted in character. Buffy was simply annoying allowing herself to be taken in by Holden and Willow should have known Cassie would not appear to her as they had never met. Andrew and Jonothan were just plain annoying.
