Another of my favourite episodes. I love Jason Behr's caharcter even though he is slightly annoying. the vampire cult is funny as anything and I love Buffy's reaction when she finds out about Ford. A well deserved 9 out of 10.

A very pivotal episode that begins the metamorphisis of the show from farily harmless teenage fun to something far deeper, sadder and more serious that culminates in the season finale.
Having to face mortal death and betrayl in this episode, only signals what is to come for our heroine.

This episode was really good , i especially loved that we found out a little about the tv series' Buffy past and the character of Ford was good how he was luring Buffy there for her to die but i really loved
Ford: What's goin' on?
Buffy: Um... uh, there was a, a cat. A cat here, and, um, then there was a-another cat... and they fought. The cats. And... then they left.
Ford: Oh. I thought you were just slaying a vampire.
Buffy: What? Whating a what?
Ford: I know, Buffy. You don't have to lie. I-I've been trying to figure out the right time to, to tell you. I know you're the Slayer.
A 9/10

This isn't one of the episodes that I can watch a lot, but that isn't to sat it in't a great one. It is one of the darkest episodes yet for the series and I love it! 8.75/10

I actually didn't think the episode would be so popular. I'm glad it is though. Raven - You make some very interesting points that I hadn't even thought of.

I like this episode. Ford was slightly annoying, but nevertheless turned out to strengthen the plot. I loved seeing Buffy's reaction when he told her why he wanted to become a vampire.
It's also another great episode feauturing everyones' favourite vampire couple. I like the introduction of Chanterelle (Who later appeared as Lily and Anne). I liked watching Angel, Willow and Xander go undercover because the cult was so funny!
8.5/10

This is a very deep episode. Like all of the other 7th episodes each season, this one is also had a key element(s) that would effect the entire season. This time it’s “Lies”.
Buffy learns that everybody lies and in fact she’s right. Even the closest people are lying and that reflect later when Giles lies about his past, when Jenny lies about her origin and connection to Angel, and so on.
Joss also introduced a new character we’ll meet a few more time later on – Anne. And it’s very cool to see how she evolved from a weak, needy person without her own personality, to a smart, strong and independent woman.
Besides these points, the episode dealt with a few “real” issues as Buffy (the show) always does. And they did it perfectly.
This is a truly good episode.

I enjoyed the episode and agreed that it really began to introduce some darker elements to Buffy. It was also a great epsode for Buffy and Giles, especially at the end when Buffy asks Giles to lie to her about the world.
The only thing that bugs me (and it's not this episodes fault) is the fact that Chanterelle/Lily/Anne is introduced and then when she appears far later on Angel he doesn't acknowledge the fact that he has met her before when Angel was the first of the scoobie to meet her as Chanterelle. That has always bugged me. Did anyone else noticed this?
