Ack! Am so jealous you got to attend Tampa con. Can't wait to see the pictures. We fortunately had fabulous seats in Cleveland (2nd row!) and also took some excellent video, save for some fat headed people who could not sit still.

Cool That must have been awesome, being right up front. My friend was in the very last row... yikes. Feel free to post a topic telling us all about that con, in the Conventions section of this forum Yeah I know what you mean about fat headed people who can't sit still. There was this heavy chick in front of me on Saturday, she kept tilting her head to the right, blocking my view of the stage... Thankfully I had a different seat in the same row the next day. ;D hehe

We were overrun by people with mullets. I haven't a clue why. It was just scary.
I'll have to post about the convention. Was Andy H in Tampa? I just adore him, did he by chance tell the school bus story?

Hi there... I am Alyrenee (first name Allison middle name Renee). I am 27 and a costume designer and a makeup artist for the theatre in chicago. I teach and work full-time in the theatre department of a community college in the burbs and I freelance downtown at various small theatres. I grew up in chicago burbs, went to college at a small school in western illinois, and went to grad school in Pittsburgh. Fun fact: I worked for Mister Rogers Neighborhood for two summers. very cool job. I am a huge collector. I collect and read comics. I collect all things Buffy and Angel and am starting to get uber-interested in Charmed stuff. I also have action figures from movies and shows i like (x-files, witchblade, x-men, LOTR). I collect 16" Fashion dolls ( you can see them at http://www.tonnerdoll.com) and I customize them. I customize my buffy figures as well. I also collect Living Dead Dolls and a few barbies. I like Goth dolls in general. I am an avid artist and aspiring comic artist and webtoonist. I am learning flash animation and working on a toon called Gothic Gretchen about a morose sixth grader who is forced to move to the perky town of Dandelion, IL when her single father gets a job as the town Mortician. I have about a kajillion hobbies...I am also an avid gamer and play the Buffy CCG, the LOTR CCG, and i just picked up a few more. I am a member of a gaming group in northern illinois/wisconsin called The Metroplex (we rock btw). I compete in tournaments all the time. We are also going to start the Buffy or Angel RPG soon. okay now I have to get to dress rehearsal. Here is a link to a supersnazzy glamour shot of me that a fellow teacher took of me for their Hollywood Glamour portraits class...hope the link works... www.geocities.com/alyrenee/glamourme.html?1059012621299

Hey thanks! The guy did some awesome pics. I am totally pleased with them. These are the first nice pics I have had since my sorority pics from college.
As for looking like someone you know...I get that ALL THE TIME. I am beginning to wonder if I am not a clone or something. As for movie star look-a-likes...when my hair was bobbed everyone thought I looked like Claire Danes...I have also heard Catherine Keener alot.

Well sense all the pretty people are posting their pictures. (Seriously Raven and Alyrenee are very pretty) I might as well bring the standards down a notch or five. I'm usually the one taking the pictures so I had to go a couple of years back to a spring break trip. I am the one who is NOT wearing his girlfriend's top. home.comcast.net/~gerrywj/16.JPG

Hi all! What a wonderful idea for a thread. Now I can put some faces to the names! alyrenee, you're so pretty love, and very talented by the sound of it. How do you manage to pack so much into your life? Hows the teaching going? What kind of productions have you done with the students there? You sound very together, more so then I was at that age! gerrywj, What a great photo! looks like you were having a great time. You look a real sweetie! Ryan S., Ah bless! You look like a young version of Spike in that photo! Very fetching. Love the hair! Site C, Sorry about things on the work front. I do hope things will improve and something turn up. I'm self-employed which is often just a nice way of saying ''out of work alot'', so I think I know how you feel. Wow, thats' one fantastic collection you've got there, and no you are not boring! Riley, Phew, someone a little nearer my age. A fitness trainer eh? God you'd have a hell of a time trying to get me fit, I can tell you! Bancrofd, Another 'oldy'. A graphic-web-multi-media designer and developer, cripes, thats' a long title! Sounds very complicated and interesting. God how do you fit all that on your CV! As to me, well firstly. I really do think I'm the oldest one here! I'm wait for it......45 years old! Yes thats right I'm that old! Where does your life go? I'm a freelance sculptor/paint and finisher. I live in London, England and I've mainly worked making stuff for English TV and theatre. Mainly SFX work. I've worked on such old shows as Dr. Who, Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, Max Headroom, Spitting Image and the English version of Lion King. I've just finished a short stint working on the third Harry Potter film at Leavesden studios and now I'm unemployed again, but that seems to be the norm these days. I've collected action figures since I was a kid, and I've loved Buffy since about season 3. I've developed an unhealthy interest in the character of Spike in the last three years and I hang out alot on the BTVS/AtS spoiler boards at Forum 4 Fans. When I'm not on the flaming computer I'm trying to hurry up and finish my Spike model so that I can start some others! Well thats' me. Hope to hear more about the rest of you now!
