You know, there are a few things that have never been explained to my satisfaction in regards to the Moore Action Collectibles Buffy toys:
1.) Why are these the only 2 options for a figure of BUFFY herself: 1) a big-haired, big-eyed freak who looks like a heavy metal video babe as sculpted by Anime enthusiasts, or B) something so slack-faced and dazed-looking that any reasonable, unknowing toy collector would assume it was a BUFFYBOT variant?
2.) Why is GILES approximately twelve feet tall as represented in action figure form? (And where are his glasses?)
3.) Why is it that the only 2 action figures from the entire span of BUFFY and ANGEL toys who can stand on their own feet in a stable fashion without toppling over if you glare at them are the two GENTLEMEN variants (both of whom represent characters who are supposed to HOVER)?
4.) Why is it that while toy lines like THE SIMPSONS and STAR WARS offer toys based on any character whose shadow might have been cast from off-screen for a millisecond in their respective continuities, we Buffy fans have only received a toy of one (1!) of the seven Big Bads of the Buffy TV series... and have yet to even be offered a complete run of the Scooby Gang?
Do you have any other MAC Buffy/Angel mysteries (Like the fact that the second Angel figure looks more like one of the New Kids on the Block than David Boreanaz)?
If so, please share them. And thanks for listening.

Correction:
We've actually gotten two big bads, and another approaching.
1) Master
2) Vampire Angel - You can make him be like the big bad or just goodie Angel in his vamped face, but it still counts.
3) Dark Witch Willow - Cinequest.com and MAC are releasing this figure, so we'll have season 6's big bad done with.
Also, what kinda action figure would The First have? Would you use a Turak-Han instead of The First?

Well Tony Head (giles) is very tall. So I think he actually is in scale to the other figures as he would be to the actors in real life. I think he is like 6'4 or so.
As for Buffy II's pissy expression...I had heard that Sarah was so annoyed that she refused to look happy while they took a face scan...so they just sculpted her in all her pissy glory. But Buffy often looks sullen on the show so it doesn't bother me that much.

"We've actually gotten two big bads... Vampire Angel"
See, I agree that Angel was the Season II Big Bad, but doesn't official continuity list the Judge as the Big Bad? (Even though he was only in a few episodes.)
"Dark Witch Willow"
Again, she to me was obviously the Big Bad, but aren't the trio considered the more official versions?
"Cinequest.com and MAC are releasing this figure, so we'll have season 6's big bad done with."
Whoa, when was that announced? I thought it was canceled. Will any of the other Willows be released?
"Also, what kinda action figure would The First have?"
Good point. And yet you can bet that if the Star Wars/Simpsons analogy were in effect, we'd have Evil Glare First Buffy... and probably in 3 different outfits. :-)

The announcement was made today about the Dark Witch Willow. Go to Cinequest.com...
And I don't think the trio was the season's Big Bad. It was Willow all along. Her battle with magic affected a lot of the group, so I still say that she deserves the Big Bad title WAY MORE than the trio does.
"Will any other Willow's be released?"
I'm not sure about this. Diamond is supposedly coming out with a Willow figure, but no definates yet...well, I haven't seen any.

I agree that we needed more monsters.

Well, we were going to have some new monsters in Series VI. Maybe if all of the sales go well with the re-releasing of some of the Series V figures , they'll get the figures you want so much out on the shelves. I sure hope so, because I could always use a new figure to add to my collection.

Ewhat?! I really doubt that. Why does everyone want Sarah Michelle Gellar to be a bitch? That first figure did kinda look like Eric Estrata and SMG fought for a better one. She practically gave us a figure....go her!
PS- Guess everyone was kinda pissed cause if ya didn't notice, all of them don't look happy. Only Willow and Cordelia.

sarah is a bitch tho....my b/f works at a store she frequents and smg came in wearing this big hat and big sunglasses and was shopping, when she went to buy stuff she gave a fake name (they ask for you name for some reason i forget why)....brad pitt and jennifer aniston were there too and they started laughing at smg...she got al little pissed about that! and i'm sure there are many more stories where that came from!

Many celebrities do that, she just wants to not always be crowded around. I don't think that wanting privacy is too bitchy. Seth Green even said that SMG constantly gets a bad wrap for being assertive and it's true. She doesn't go to conventions and such because she has to keep busy, she spends much more time on the set than all the other actors. Plus, I don't think we're seeing the picture here, SMG got us a better Buffy instead of whining about the first one.

Ever since Sarah announced she’s quitting, people keep gossip about her being a bitch. I think it’s disgusting and until I see it for myself I won’t believe it.

That is why the figures come with stands. The Gentlemen actually do hover...on their stands. I personally don't care since I keep mine in the box, but I felt like commenting on this subject.

More than two figures stand on their own, if you have the patience to balance them. I've managed to stand Series 1 Angel, the Angel Cordelia, the Angel series Angel, and all varieties of Oz without their stands.
Now Buffy... I've never gotten either Buffy to stand alone. And Faith tends to fall backward after a day or two. But it's more than just the Gentlemen.
I also don't think the Buffy 2 face looks bad. One thing to remember is that she's a Slayer. A big, cheesy smile on someone who is supposed to be ready to kill a vampire might be strange. The Buffy character, in general, doesn't smile often when she's in "slayer" mode. *checks the wall* Even her posters don't really show a big "smile." I doubt that's any reflection of Sarah Michelle Gellar.

the only one I have never gotten to stand up by itself is Buffy series 3 Cordelia. Those damn shoes!! Have you gotten it to stand, Flobbo? What's the secret, if there is one?
I have a great deal of patience, and if I want to make a figure stand by itself, I'll keep trying until I succeed, but I've about given up on that one.

i think you can say we've gotten more big bads than Vampire Angel and Dark Witch Willow. Spike and Drusilla can technically be called Big Bads of season 2.Hell,in most of the seasons Buffy fought Spike. He wasn't THE big bad in those seasons but he can technically be called a big bad. I think the big bads we have gotten/have yet to receive are Vampire Angel,Vampire Spike,Vampire/Human Drusilla,Dark Witch Willow BUT I WANTED A GLORY FIGURE!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

I guess you could also consider Faith as both a good girl and big baddie. I really would have liked to see a Mayor and Glory figure. But really the 'want' list could go on and on But MAN they sure did alot of Cordy figures. I wonder if Clay has a little bit of a crush on Charissma (tee-hee) just joking.

The only big bads we have yet to get are:
The Mayor Glory Adam (which we almost had) The First (I wonder if they made the First as Buffy could they then get around getting the approval of smg? Kind of like a loophole or is she considered to be playing that part so she needs to approve it?)

Have you ever tried to get the Spike figure to stand up for even the shortest period of time? The flamming thing keeps hurling itself off my shelf and spends more time on the floor then it ever does on his stand! Well done MAC!

I had to resort to putting all my Spike's on the back of a shelf so he could lean on the back wall. He hasn't fallen over since! ;D
