I went to Collectormania this weekend, and picked up a nice ML haul.
Black Queen - The body looks better on this figure than it did on Emma for some reason, and its a very nice figure. The whip is a cool accesory, and ofcourse better than nothing.
Marvel Girl - One of my favourite MLs now. The more animated hasbro style really suits her, and Its one of the better ML female bodies.
Cable - Cool! The sculpt is great, and once again its nice to have some accesories (in the form of 2 identical guns).
Ultimate Wolverine - I had seen pictures of this and thought it didnt look too bad, and honestly he isnt as ugly in person. But argh the articulation is awful. In his arms its a shame, because it limits the poses, but in his legs its just plain annoying.
Boxed Silver Surfer - I saw this and had to get it, for such a plain looking character he looks really attractive, there is alot of detail in the sculpt. However, the lack of ankle articulation means that its a pain getting him to stand on his board in many different ways, and because mine has a warped right leg, i cant get him to stand up on his own either.
Scarlet Witch - I remember i had wanted this figure for a short time a while back, and although it looked very underwhelming in the packaging, the guy said he would give it me for £2 instead of £8 because I was buying so much from him. Once she is on her little hover thing, she doesnt look too bad, especially at the price point.
New Goblin - Once of my favourite new figures, but does better than the surfer as far as riding positions go. Its a shame he doesnt come with a removable helmet or anything though.
Spiderman (sandman BAF series) - My least favourite figure. He has great old ML style articulation, including lots of shoulder joints and individual fingers. But the paint job is quite bad, and he looks too big for the Goblin. Hopefully once i get a few more figures from this wave I will learn to like him.

Blade: no problem, I'm glad my photo fun helped someone with deciding not to buy that atrocity Hasbro did worse than drop the ball with that figure. They never had the ball to begin with... Marvel Girl - One of my favourite MLs now. The more animated hasbro style really suits her, and Its one of the better ML female bodies. I was in a Walmart the other day and looked at this two-pack once again. She really is a good looking figure. This is what I mean by Hasbro being hit & miss. I want to pick up one of these sets, but I'm not sure I want the Cable figure (the yecchy yellow paint is blinding). Mary Jane might make you like that Spider-Man a bit more! Just click back a page to see "it"... if you dare! ;D

I'm finding ML a bit hit and miss all over. Plus I don't know many characters so sticlk to the movie or major characters.
I am branching into some DC stuff as well but find that, more so than marvel, I know less and less characters!
I am waiting on tracking down a Colossus. FP had some wave three, inc lots of surprised jeans, but that was it.

Its seems the Variant Case for Series three(the one thats supposed to have Phoenix Rachel, and Screaming Hydra goon) also has two Metallic Silver Colossus. This kind of ticks me off, considering people will want the one thats more metal looking. Silver Version on the Left, the regular one is on the right.

F***... I just bought an X3 Colossus last night! He's the darker colored one on the right in that pic. I'll have to find a better one now. At least I didn't open him yet! *Hangs onto receipt*
Artistix, did you see the atrocious Mary Jane figure pics I posted on the previous page? She'll make you hate red-heads... ;D

Though I don't know anything about the character, she does look pretty good for a prototype. I wonder what the final product will look like, though? That's what I worry about. The proto has a nice matte look to her outfit, which I hope is brought across with the production piece. Like I said I don't know much about the character, so unless it's supposed to be matte...
No double jointed knees? It's great that the arms all have full articulation, complete with double jointed elbows.

Artistix, did you see the atrocious Mary Jane figure pics I posted on the previous page? She'll make you hate red-heads... ;D Yeah, I kept close tabs on that wretched beast!! I love your pics... ;D I've seen some nice re-paints of her. But Hasbro should be ashamed of themselves for MJ, X3 Jean & in particular Emma Frost. Though I don't know anything about the character, she does look pretty good for a prototype. I wonder what the final product will look like, though? Yeah, you can't go by Hasbro proto shots, good lighting can make even the sh*ttiest figure look ok. I'm excited though. I remeber Spiral from the Mojoworld cartoon episodes. Still need to get a Mojo, that likely won't even happen! Thanks for the links & info peoples. The pic:

I think one of the Toybiz Marvel Legends lines had Mojo as the build a figure.

Man, I really really wanted the Marvel Girl Package variant(with her back showing) but its going for over $300 on ebay. There is no way I'm getting one with these prices... Her she is in case you guys haven't seen it: Limited to 500

So the variant itself isn't limited to 500 pieces? Just the variants with the back turned around in the package?
$300... people are insane. More money than sense.

Just the back turned variant is limited to 500 pieces. I planned on keeping my variant Rachel in package anyway and being able to seen her back tatoo is really cool. The are some ebay buy it nows for 499 Some are even trying to jack up the prices of the regular variant, man what people do to make a profit...I think I might order the variant case, since it comes with 2 Silver X3 Colossus, Hydra variant and Marve Girl variant and theres even a chance she could be the back turned one. It just means I'll have to buy Danger by herself(since she doesn't come in the case.)

I think X3 Jean is great, one of my favorite legends.
I got a few new ones yesterday. Got Quicksilver to complete my blob. Also found Cyclops, Marvel Girl and Danger. They are all very nice. Especially Rachel. I wish they had X3 colossus but all they had was 2 Cyclops, 2 Marvel Girl and 3 Dangers...seems random. The Brood Queen looks great too...cant wait to get the whole thing.
I also saw the Black Queen but didnt get her because the line was too long. She is very, very nice. The ML X-universe is getting massive, I just wish they included more X-men figures in upcoming lines. I heard Astonishing Beast was dropped from wave 4 and wave 5 only has Spiral. Hopefully they do some X-men based lines like the recent Spiderman and FF lines.

Black Queen is a pretty cool fig, I just wish she could actually use her whip(its sculpted in a loop) Beast was said to be dropped from the line, the online shops took him down and everything, but a Hasbro employee over at the toynewsi.com forums said that Beast hasn't been dropped from the Wave...so I'm not sure what that means exactly, but I'm hoping hes gonna be released. If you count the build-a-figure from Wave four(Nemesis) hes an X-men related character.

Thats good news, I hope Beast does get released, we need him to complete the astonishing team (not counting armor...who would make a pretty great figure, IMO).
Nemesis is a great figure but for some reason, I dont really want him. He is more of an AOA character to me, so I can avoid that. But I do know that he was part of the regular universe too...so I'm sure I'll end up getting him. Same with AOA Sunfire...I wasnt excited about him but eventually I decided I would buy him if he ever got released since thats his current look in the comics.
