Hey All. This is a commission for Annette. She wanted a 12" Statue of Buffy as she appeared in Chosen. SO, this WILL be a Pre Battle Chosen Buffy (as in, no wounds, blood or dirt) This is only the early stages, but i wanted to post it. Ive done something with this figure that ive never done before, but through experience, found it necessary. Ive used a Graduation Day buffy, but have used very strong steel wire to reinforce the legs and arms. I create "braces" that fitted along the back of buffys legs and into her feet, and then added more pegs into her hips, through the legs. shes pretty sturdy now. The reason i wanted to reinforce the joints, is because, it seems no matter how much glue you use. the joints will cause the sculpey to crack... the base, is a cast of the Varner Angel statue that ive had laying around for about a year. (this will be modified) The scythe came from Faith, i believe. But i covered it in Aluminium tape, which has given it a real metal look. Look out for updates over the next few days Wayne |

You have really been stepping up your game lately and this looks like it is going to be great work of art. I really love the pose you chose to sculpt her in, its very dramatic.

thanks for the comments guys Ive been sculpting all last night and this morning, and ive almost completed Buffys legs. Ive worked very hard to get her jeans correct (theyre a very specific style) Heres a pic, ill post updates as i go along  its not the best picture, but the jeans look much better in person, but ill post more pics later Wayne |

Wow! that is simply amazing!
One thing though, it may sound stupid but how will you make this figure at 12'' size go hard, I thought the only method is to put it in a pan of boiling water and isn't that too big?

haha thanks erm, simple. for a bigger figure, u need a bigger pot  my mum has a MASSIVE curry pot, pretty much a cauldron haha, she JUST fits in, if i fill the pot to the top u can bake it too... Wayne |

the base will be painted, the "Angel" Logo will be replaced and there will be several weapons/props on the base too

Looking good so far! My favorite part of her outfit from this episode is the lacy bit of the top on the front...I'm glad to see that detail shown here, and it looks fantastic! Can't wait to see her done...I'm sure she'll be a beauty. |
