those who cannot be bothered to vote are probably not too worried about what gets made and having a little bit of "security" disuades those that are out to make mischief.
Not everyone who collects will visit my site, or here. In fact there may be many collectors who do not even know that forums of any type exist.
The poll is to give Al an idea as to what is wanted. ie 30% of voters want figurine XYZ.
He does not need to know that 4761 collectors out of the 12764 wanted figure XYZ.
If he did, he'd put a leaflet in all magazines, and then not everyone would respond.
also poll.com is easy to bypass and revote as many times as you want no matter what they say. If you want , set up a test poll and i'll add 10 votes for an obscure option in no time at all ;-)
this is from their own pages "Poll results are subject to error and are for entertainment only." LOL

My point that if the whole survey based on 20 something votes than it hardly serves its purpose on accurate statistics. Have more people take the poll means the accuracy of the survey is higher.
There would always be a risk of people enlisting their friends and relatives to vote for something so having a poll that requires registration may downsize the risk but never prevent it entirely. But consumers that do buy this figures and do care to a degree on what is made should get a much easier access to the poll.
In any case, we can discuss it till next week and never agree on the idea of what survey should be but at the very least be sure to spread the work on other forums as well to not only get more accurate idea of what the consumers would want more (and not just a limited fan base) but also to use it as a reminder that this line is being released and its worth keeping tacks as they can affect future releases.
After all, its in our interest to promote the line so it won't get cancelled before time.
And speaking of which, guys be sure you spread the word that Buffy been released this month on other forums you visit.
Also, how many people here (outside of UK) want to get one but cannot because of high shipping rates on ebay? I'd like to make a list of members and see if we can find a solution.

Lior, I agree that as many people as possible should vote. The vote is here : superherofigurineforum.com/index.php?showtopic=731&st=0entry122428if people can't be bothered to register then it is their problem and they should not then complain in future if their preferred character has not been made / considered. and safe to say more than 100 folk will vote. That said, would you prefer 20 knowledgeable buffy fans vote and their opinions taken on board by Eaglemoss, or would you prefer 100 people vote, most of whom don't really care one weay or they other, or are voting for the 20th time, end up swaying the results. and to prove that poll.com is flawed I set up a quick poll over there. poll.pollcode.com/33Q5Q. Did this test work? A. iv'e got 5 votes for "satsuma" so far ... ;D ;D ;D ;D We have been running polls and monitioring who votes for a while now. EM trust us and therefore trust our results. Either way we can all work together to promote this collection.

Re: the poll you made to test it, I keep getting "We're sorry, you've already voted in this poll!" on top of the page so not so sure how unsafe it is. Regardless, there are plenty of other online surveys which can be more secure.
The bottom line would remain how many people would bother to vote if its more time consuming. While I accept your point that people who care enough won't mind to do whatever necessary to vote, I do not agree that its right to discard people just because they can't be bothered to sign up somewhere...after all, if somebody buys these figures, her or his opinion is valid no matter if he/she care enough to sign up or not.
The best option would be setting up a poll on Eaglemoss site itself to promote Eaglemoss production but since its already been chosen to be limited to one forum then at this stage it not really matters.
Either way, this discussion of polls is very much Off Topic so lets get back to the topic as dwelling on this brings us nowhere.

Apologies but we've had to restart poll. New way is much more secure and my fault for not following standard forum procedure! To all those who voted then please come back to vote in the new poll, and those who are yet to then please come over and vote The more votes then the more accurate the results! Would also ask you get anybody else with an interest in these figurines to come and vote, even if they simply register, vote and never return! Thanks www.superherofigurineforum.com

Know this thread doesn't get much love anymore but for those interested, Spike should be out in a week or 2. Then the 4th figure will be the Master in Novemeber, with Faith being #5

Well I have to say I adore this line. I notice that the Spike figure has already hit eBay in the UK, and so I can't wait to get hold of mine.
From what I can see he looks just as good as the prototype. ;D

I have Buffy and Angel on pre-order from a store so far, so do we have anymore info? Like the order they are coming out ? (I have seen 2 diff ones), or the outfits? I really want a Cordy and Darla from 'Angel' not from 'Buffy'... And we are getting the Master? That one I could wait for, why pick him? ... thegrimreaper I sign up on your forum but could not find the Buffy stuff?, do you have anymore info about whats next? Thanks.

The Buffy figures do have a section on the Superhero Figurine Forum It can be found in the "Other Eaglemoss collections" area! So far only we only have the order for the first 5 figures: Buffy, Angel, Spike, Master, Faith! No word on who will follow or what costumes. I'm hoping we might get a pic of the Master soon
