Okay people! I got some new pics of my Buffy Here they are: Believe it or not the dress design only took me an hour and a half. I thought it was going to take me much longer... I forgot to mention my recipe. I used a deluxe Buffy head, Charmed Phoebe torso (some major sanding was done), and Season 5 Anya skirt. BTW, thank you for all the nice comments -Jess

I've been crushed under a nine year old and an eleven year old all week, so I haven't had time to visit and comment on this forum or update my website. Sorry. I've sneaked some peeks at the Beautiful Buffies and they are gorgeous. I'll comment fully tomorrow. I did some mini craft projects with my niece and nephew, following Shivi's guide. I'll post the photos tomorrow. I also caught some time this week, when the kids were either asleep or at my mum's. I have managed to finish my new Paul (aka Spike-the-Bloody) custom and my first Beautiful Buffy. I'll post them both on my website tomorrow but here are the Buffy photos. 'Til-Death-Do-Us-Part BuffyI couldn't see a way to do this just with sculpey so I went back to my pre-sculpey roots and used some material instead. I used an EoD Buffy head and Wedding Anya body. I broke and repositioned the elbows. I sculpted the structure of the skirt, then added 6 layers of white mesh. It's held with some thread and some glue.

Shes amazing! I really like how you encorporated the netting you used it extremely well without it looking all bunched up. I swear this could be the 100th Figure LOL! Best one yet!

Sasha,
I LOVE HER!!! You have blown away my expectations!!!! I expected an awesome job, But she is BEAUTIFUL!!
I LOVE the fact that she has "old school" charm! The veil is UNBELIEVABLE! I cant believe I get to have her!!!
The lace looks perfectly layed out, not at all bulky.
Her expression is so spot on. Her eyes look perfect!! Every hair in place too! I have a new FAVORITE CUSTOM!! YAY!
I bow to the queen....

sasha, she is absolutely breathe taking. she looks absolutely fantastic. i love the use of the fabric. i cant think of anything i would add to. however, her dress is more ivory in the picture isnt it? but then again finding an ivory coloured mesh would be a biatch, and i know how hard it is to find the perfect fabric. but she is brillinat, without doubt the best you have ever made and she is so pretty. i love her to bits and i might have to make a 12" version of her as i love her so much awesome work sasha and everyone else wayne

You always find a way to surprise me Sasha.
This is an amazing custom. I expect superb sculpting and painting from you, but the use of material has taken this to a whole new level.
This is your new best custom ever..............................................................until the next one.

Jess that is a really nice idea and you pulled it off really well.
I especially love the dress paint job which must have taken a while. Well done.
Sasha, I was really looking forward to seeing this and it is really amazing. Like everyone has said, the idea of using fabric was nice and you have done a grand job on it. The viel especially is superb and it is overall an amazing custom. Also, I like the eyes, some people don't like the bigger eye style paint jobs but I think with this scene in particular it is essential to show the emotion.
Hats off to both of you!

Sasha - I love that Buffy the dress is beautiful, and the materials make it looks really realistic.
I am so jealous of Val for commissioning her.

Val has asked me to make a Groom Angel to go with Bride Buffy, so look out for him soon. OK. I've finally sent the kiddies home and have time to comment on the finished Buffies. Love those kids, but phew! ShondraSu - Season 1 Promo BuffyYou're right, she does look beautiful in that promo photo. I like how you've transposed it to a graveyard. Great pose and setting with the wee moonstone and vamp hand. You've done a great job getting her into the pose. The shape of her hair is good but I'd have liked to see more individual strands. It's always difficult to make a cleavage from a figure with a sculpted top. I can't decide whether what you've done works or not. The skin looks really smooth because you haven't sculpted over it, which is a plus, but the painted cleavage looks a little cartoon-y. Hum! I think I vote that it does work. It kind of goes with the stylised nature of the whole figure. I really enjoyed this custom. Unique! Chosen01 - "The Gift" Sacrifice BuffyThis is a nice clean custom. The hair is a little bouffant at the top but the strands are very well done. I like how you've set the scene photographing her in the dark and how she's looking down. shivi - "Storyteller" Fantasy BuffyThis is a gorgeous Buffy. Fab hair! Her face looks really pretty in your repaint. In the future, I would just pull the outside corners of her eyes down a little. I like how you've sculpted the hips to really look like Buffy did in those trousers. I think the top looks a little short though, which makes her body look short. Superb paint job on her top. Absolutely breath-taking. I'm not sure about the arm pose though. The looks like her cereal is about to hit the floor, not the bowl. Shame to ruin that gorgeous base! buffyville - Buffy in Love. Aaah!Wow! I think that's your best Buffy yet. Sometimes, it pays to keep it simple. Nice tones in her hair. Great effect on her top. Lovely paint job all over and on her necklace. I like how she fits together with Angel. I don't think the paint job on his shirt quite captures the devore velvet effect though. I know it's tricky to get the parts but I do think the MAC 1 Angel head suits him better for the early years. They look wonderful as a pair. Great base too. jsebold87 - Faith, Hope & Trick BuffyLovely job sculpting the dress and the painted pattern is just superb. The hair looks slightly bulky at the top but she's a very cute Buffy. Great choice as well. I love seeing Season 1-3 Buffies.

I've now made Groom Angel to go with Bride Buffy. I used a Wesley body but removed the boxy jacket and sculpted a fitted frock coat. I made a church-steps stand for them to share from Lorne's stage. You can see more details on my website: msbig.sashapowell.co.uk/mbframenew.htm

Sasha, I was expecting Bride Buffy to look great but, quite frankly, I want to marry her myself. (Work has crept up on me so I definitely won't have time for a large project for this challenge. :/ )

My Buffy went very, very, very to the power of 1,000,000 WRONG!!!
I'm going to have another go at scuplting her, or choose an easier one to do
EDIT
Sasha, that bride and groom Buffy and Angel set is fantastic, I've commented on Buffy, so I'll say I like Angels outfit and expression

I finally got my entry done. I actually finished sculpting her in March and only just got round this afternoon to finishing painting her. She didnt cause me quite a fuss as just as she was nearly finished, I got a huge black blotch on her face and had to repaint all over again! Overall, I think she is my best figure to date, despite the rather boring pose. I am especially pleased with the hair sculpt and the eyes which I always have problems with. I also experimented with make-up for the first time by adding some pink to the cheeks and some eye shadow. I gave her a B base as this is the Beautiful Buffy challenge so I guess it fit. So here is my beautiful buffy from 'Sanctuary'. Sorry, but I couldnt pick one photo so theres two. I really need to practice photo taking as I really do suck at it! Thanks.
