I really like the packaging, I can't wait to get mine. I just got a letter yesterday from John of Time and Space Toys saying that it will be in stock this week. So now I just have to send a money order out today and I am good to go.

I'm really excited for this! I pre-ordered mine through the BCC so hopefully it'll be shipping soon. Guess I need to start figuring out where/how I'll display it

TST said this in their recent newsletter about Factory X:
"You thought they were gone, but the same guys behind the old Palisades Factory X brand are here again under the new Factory X company (they bought the name and license)."
Does the license refer to the exsiting Buffy/Angel prop license DST had, or something something related to the Factory X brand?
If DST sold off the license that would be great, since we might actually start getting props reps again, including some of the ones Factory X had planned, but DST dropped like the Hush box.

When Palisades went under, some company bought the Factory X license and planned to continue with making weapons for other properties. At that point Genki took the jewelry license and DST had everything else. Seeing how Factory X is now making props again, I assume either DST lost the prop license at the end of 2007 or they cut some deal to allow Factory X to release scaled products.

I'd like to see Factory X takeover and then hopefully we will see some of the props that we were promised. I really wanted Faith's Jackal Knife and the DuLac Cross.

I'd love to see them take this mini approach to both actually. I'm not sure what DST was planning on charging for the Faith knife, but the DuLac Cross was just to much for what it was. If Factory X can do it either smaller, or with different material and cheaper they will do well I think. Although I bet they do Angel's sword next since they have already done the full size version. It seems like this is a good price range for Buffy prop replicas though. This seems to be selling great and is extremely affordable, and the cheaper Mr. Pointy did also sold great with the lower SPR, which would have been even lower had they not been signed. Hopefully this is a good sign for Buffy merch.

I would have much preferred some type of packaging that could have been kept/saved neatly and safely...like a box.
O well though.
Can't wait to get one!

I would have much preferred some type of packaging that could have been kept/saved neatly and safely...like a box. O well though. Can't wait to get one! I was suprised by the packaging too, I actually thought it was just a box at first, it wasn't until I'd looked at the image a few times I realized it wasn't. I actually kind of like it. I'm not a MOCer, but if you were one you would be able to display this much like you would the figures and have the actual product showing. I assume this type of packaging must help with the production costs, and if them being able to make good replicas (mini or to scale) cheaper by using different packaging I'm all for it. Hell, they can stick it in a plastic bag with a plan white card topper for all I care about, as long as we actually GET the stuff they show us. Lior, have you thought about trying to e-mail them and see if they are up for sharing any information about their future plans with us ... like a penpal for the forum like SlayAlive have with the comics. Hopefully we are going to get some exciting new Buffy products from them.

I've got my mini-scythe today and must say it is very nice. Not top quality as some of the glue is noticeable under the leather but for a $20 prop it is totally worth it. Also, its a bit big for PF Buffy to hold but still looks great when displayed.

wow it looks great it does look in scale with her....perhaps the handle needs to be reduced a little so it will fit in her hand? looks very nice tho, not too thrilled about the leather grip, but for the size, its very nice Wayne

And I agree the leather could have been done better but for this price and scale it good enough. AWWW Mini Scytheee.. Cuteeee Thanks for posting pics, Lior. No problem.
