Okay, here's a quick snapshot of my various customs in various states of completion (and I apologize for the wide shot - as I said this was a quickie so I can correct if it causes anyone any problems). Some I've shown before, and a couple (like my beloved Willow) needs some serious touch up work as I've sadly neglected them. As always, any and all critiques, suggestions, questions, etc welcome as I do indeed use this to (hopefully) produce a better final result. Plus I just love talking figures and all the creative ideas we all share! :-) :-) From Left to Right: 1. Pylean Demon Angel (one of the simple ones - I just opened his shirt and painted it white, and judging from the number of other customizers I've seen do this, I'm not the only one who found it odd that DST didn't do this when it's more episode-accurate, AND sculpted that way!). :-) 2. The Gift Buffy (I used Alrynee's Recipe. Obviously not finished yet (actually she was finished, then I decided to re-do her again, but I'm just going to have to accept I can't get it to the incredible quality of Alrynee's!) 3. Season 2 Wes - From the Unreleased Moore line - I plan to do customs of all the figures shown that Moore never released - and unfortunately neither has DST! :-( We really need a "Big Bads" wave or boxsets - or even one BigBad/Demon/Villan in each wave. Even if we had to pay more I'd totally do so to get them! 4.. Fredless Fred - Just posted a thread on her (where this pic originally apeared) so anyone wanting details on her can check that out so I don't doible post all that over again too. :-) 5. Puppet Angel - hes totally sculpted from Fim/Sculpey. I can't judge in the episode how big/small he really is, and he's looking a little bulky to me sometimes, at others just right. Does anyone know how big the puppet actually was? Not just height, but relative "thcikness" for his legs, arms, etc? I know really actors hands were used in his hands, but not sure how big around his arms and legs were. Anyway, he's nearly finished - mostly just some paint ops around his eyes are left, and I will probably also end up painting his "flesh". I prefer to mold pieces in the color of sculpey when I can since it yields a far better result than painting (and even if you have to paint it, the near-color of the compound can enhance the look making it look like a multi-tonal application! (if that's a real description). :-) He has articulation in his neck and shoulders and wrists. 6. Adam - again, one that was almost finished but then went back to the drawing (paint and sculpting?) board. Kind of hard to see, but I love the little diskette he's holding. Another one from the unreleased Moore sculpts. 7. Conviction Spike - I can't remember if it was Alrynee or someone else who first came up with the idea of partially painting Chosen Spike - but that still is one of my all time favorite creative creations! :-) Since I couldn't match the original Chosen custom, I decided to go a different route and re-create the closing seconds of "Conviction" when Angel first tears open the envelope containing the amulet which drops to the floor and in a swirling cloud of ash and embers Spike is "re-made". Thus my take on this is to have bones, veins/arteries, etc showing in the various areas where they are coming together, and that's also why there's only part of his famous leather jacket showing. My friends who I've shown him too always ask if I'm going to finish making his coat - and I always have to explain it's meant that way. The left side was the last to "come together" in the scene, thus his left side is more veiny/meaty, etc (and less coat). It's very hard to see the details, but it's another one that I really like the result in person. 8. Going thru the Motions Buffy - I think this was my first custom that I actually completed and kept more or less intact. I've repainted her jeans a couple times as they always get chips (I need to find what people use to coat their final paint jobs to prevent chipping/scuffing, etc). I really like a previous jean job better, but haven't been able to recreate it since, thus it's just a boring 1 tone. I did manage to find some teeny crosses at a craft store and thus her necklace looks better (and the sales gimmick here is that "You can wear Buffy's cross yourself!"). Who could resist that? :-) 9. Chosen Willow - my favorite figure simply because Willow is my favorite character and we really need a long haired Season & version of her. She's got some massive scuffage on her pants that I need to fix, and part of her hair has chipped off. I really really need to touch her up, and get the whole "swappable wigs" gimmick working. But yes, I love her and wish DST would make at least one more Willow with long hair from her Season 7 appearance! 10. Triangle Tara - almost forgot her and thus stuck her in back at the last second. Until I can afford convince myself to splurge that much for the real deal (I keep hoping Benson Ent. will sell the last few for like $50 or less). 11. Red Top Cordy - a simple repaint (but hey, a lot of the real variants are simple repaint!). I think this turned out great. The color is different from the "real" version, but I actually like mine better! The metallic ppen I used is called "Fiskars" and they are awesome! Fast drying, with no streaking or clumps. And you can actually handle her without getting paint on you! Her pants are black acrylic from "Liquitex", another paint that I have found to be incredible in the results it gives. Any critiques, suggestions, questions welcome, especially on the unfinished ones if anyone has any tips on what they'd modify before I call it "Done!". :-) But even on the "done" ones, I'm always going back and adding/fixing little things, so all around critiques, suggestions more than welcome! I also have a couple customs that aren't far enough along to bother even showing, including a Dawn, a Halfrek, and really old first attempt at Dana the Psycho Slayer and a Deluxe Dark Witch Willow and UberVamp. Hopefully I'll get these further along, as well as Gunn and the remaining unreleased Moore Figures (Riley/Initiative Soldier, etc).

These are some great collections! I think I have been insopired to desplay my customs. As they are now, they are just peppered throught my regular collection of figures but these all look so nice desplayed by themselves, I think I may have to do some rearanging!
