Interview #13: Insanity in the Hot Seat!!

Welcome to the thirteenth edition of the Hot Seat! Unlucky for some, but I have a hunch that this week’s interview with Andrew, the awesome Insanity will be one of the best.

Where do I start with such a member? One of my absolute favorite banner makers ever to appear on the forum, an intelligent poster, a huge X-Men fan, someone with a great sense of humour but most of all, a brilliant friend.

I’ve had the privelige to get to know him quite well over the last few weeks, and I have to say, he’s one of the nicest, most friendly people on the forum. He’s simply the best! (No, not a cue for singing )

1) Who’s your favorite band and singer? And why do you like them so much?

I like so many different singers and groups, but I have to say my favorites would be:

Linkin Park- Some people say that it’s just screaming music, but its so much more. They capture human emotion and behavior perfectly. I like it because their music different. It isn’t hardcore rock like some people say, it actually has substance and is unmatched.

Evanescence- Evanescence has got to have some of the greatest music of all time. I think Amy Lee is definitely one of the greatest vocalists of all time. The style of their music is so mesmerizing and mysterious. Plus, I’m a sucker for the Orchestral background music

Maroon 5- My favorite pop band. I can’t explain why I like their music, but I just love listening to it

…and my favorite solo artist would have to be Kelly Clarkson. I didn’t like her at first, and I wasn’t a fan of American Idol, but she won me over eventually….after she broke away from her title as the first American Idol. She’s a very talented artist.

2) Are you a morning or an evening person?

I am most definitely an evening person. As people may notice, I sometimes don’t even sleep at night. ;D

3) Do you have any allergies?

Actually, no. I used to have Milk Allergies (worst time of my life, by the way) but I grew out of it.

4) In the X-Men movies, who do you prefer Jean Grey with? Scott or Logan?

That’s a very hard question. I like her to be with Scott….but Logan is so tempting… I mean look at this:

Who doesn’t like Ice Cream?! I would say, Cookies ‘n Cream ;D

Thriller of Course I also like Scream.

I think it’s a little strange, but hey, everyone has their own customs or traditions. I kind of cool seeing the differences in culture

8) Do you watch Nip/Tuck? Or at least, what do you think of it?

No, My mom won’t let me she says its her “alone time,” So no one may watch it with her. But I have caught cradle-robbing, transexual Famke a few times. I think it looks like a great show.

9) Who would you most like to see interviewed in the Hot Seat?

Man, that’s tough. There are so many who I would love to see….I think….You!!! That would be an awesome Hot Seat

I guess you could say that. I really don’t mind making them though. Its an enjoyable time for me, so I think I benefit from it as much as the person I am making it for

Because X-men is awesome! It isn’t just about Superheroes and action, but it deals with discrimination and being different. There are so many morals that it can teach you…plus its got great characters and story lines.

which are your 3 favorite BINI's ?

Curse you for making me choose…I would say my Ice-attack Iceman, my comic Dark Phoenix, and my Sango from InuYasha.

Of Course! I’m very anal about hygiene.

I would take her to some type of awards show...so she can where that infamous dress Actually, maybe if she could orb like her character, we could have a picnic on top of the Golden Gate Bridge

I love scent of Vanilla. Especially my moms candles. It makes me want to eat them…

Spanish, Latin, Sign Language and English of course. I think out of all of them, Latin was my favorite. I get a tingly feeling inside when I see it on Buffy and other shows/places.

I have never been to the UK. Though, I wish I could go someday

I like Blue…usually darker shades, but I also like some reds.

What was the last thing you ate?

A rice-crsipy treat

I love them both….but I liked when Oz was on the show more.

Darla or Drusilla?

Drusilla. I loved her terrible accent and insaneness, even though people find it annoying.

Spike or Angel?

Angel. Spike had way to many character changes, and he was slightly annoying in a few episodes.

Cordelia or Harmony?

Cordy, of course. Harmony would bug me after a while...but I love her stupidity ;D

I love Arwen. I pretty much liked them the same but if I had to pick, I think the 2nd is my favorite.

DST- Vamp or Dark Willow. The willows were always my favorite.
MAC- PG Buffy, or Series 2 Buffy

Siberian White Tiger because of their beauty, or a Bottle-nosed Dolphin because they’re fun to play with

You are so cruel, Sammie ….is your national color blue? I know you flag has red and blue.

Which new BtVS figure are you most looking forward to?

Vamp Buffy or OMWF Dawn.

What's your favorite Buffy (the character) outfit?

I loved Buffy’s dress from the end of “AfterLife,” when she confesses to spike about being torn from Heaven. I know it isn’t anything Special, but I think it was beautiful.

What's your favorite song ever?

Erm… I would say either ‘Imaginary’ by Evanescence, ‘Easier to Run’ by Linkin Park, or ‘Addicted’ by Kelly Clarkson. I have a current obsession with the song ‘Unwritten’ by Natasha Bedingfield.

lol, well... I was originally going to go with Andrew(My name ) but there was already a user with that name. So I wanted it to be original and I wanted it to be creative, nothing like Buffyfan89 and such. I was watching season two(I had never seen it before) at the time and I loved Dru+Spike. Probably Willow. She seems to have a pretty strong following.

I would say Faith or Willow...

I liked her hair in Season 6 and Season 4. I would say 4-6, but season 5 had awkward Willow hair...

Do you play any sports?

In P.E., but other than that no. My school doesn't have alot of sports programs. I love to play Volleyball though Oh, and I rock-climb alot. Does that count?

What's your favorite flower?

A Rose... I have always dreamed of getting one of those Glass Roses from Disney Land based on the one from Beauty and The Beast.

Do you like living in Cali? (i know i would)

I love it! And I'm right in the middle too Are wrether is a little wacky sometimes...but it doesn't get too hot or cold. Plus, you can get to the beach in little over an hour.

How many country's have you been to?

Well, not many I have been to Mexico (when me and my mom went to SDCC last year, we decided to cross the border )

I have only bought one thing on ebay. My Prophecy Girl Buffy from series one. I am currently bidding on a few things right now though.

Well, shoes…but everything else is rented.

Not very high. All my climbing is in indoor facilities (Good Luck finding mountains in my town ) but They do go pretty high.

I would love to say Andrew, just for the irony, but I think I would have to go with Xander. He’s just your normal, everyday, slacker-geek.

Well, I think its too early for me to decide… I mean, I definitely see the hotness in any gender, but I can’t label myself with any certainty. I am still untainted Its sort of like the whole Willow+Tara thing...it just depends on who you fall in love with....I have never "liked" or though about a guy I knew, like I have a girl.

Well, to start, BtVS and Angel of course.

I like to watch Anime…mainly InuYasha and FullMetal Alchemist(which were the highest ranked anime in the past year. )

InuYasha is about a girl named Higurashi Kagome, who after being pulled down a well by a demon, finds herself in Feudal Japan, where she learns that a powerful jewel has been reborn inside her body. After the jewel shatters in an attempt to retrieve it from one of the many demons who was after its power, Kagome must join forces with the half-demon Inu Yasha (also after the jewel's power) to track down the shards of the jewel before its power falls into the wrong hands.

The second, FullMetal Alchemist is about Alphonse and Edward Elric, who After losing their mother, attempted to bring her back using the forbidden science of human alchemy. But alchemy operates on the theory of equivalent trade, and breaking the human alchemy taboo carries a heavy price. Ed loses his leg, and Al loses his body. Ed is able to seal Al’s soul inside of a huge suit of armor, at the cost of his arm. Years later, Ed (now with two mechanical limbs) and Al (still trapped in the armor) leave their childhood home, each brother concerned with the other’s happiness. Ed, who has a natural talent and skill for alchemy, becomes nationally certified and is soon known everywhere as the "Fullmetal Alchemist." Their true objective is to search for any information on the fabled Philosopher’s Stone, hoping it will allow them to regain their old bodies. All of their hopes rest with this mythical stone, which may not even exist at all. However, the brothers soon learn that they are not the only ones after the powerful stone.

InuYasha is more like a fairy tale/Drama/Romance/action, while FMA (FullMetal Alchemist) is more like a mystery/drama/adventure. FMA does get pretty dark and intense, and reminds me of Buffy/Angel in some points.…I’ve cried at least twice while watching some of the episodes. I highly recommend watching that series. (Its only 51 half hour episodes, so its about the lenght of a season of Buffy)

I am equally obsessed with the X-men movies as I am with Buffy. My other interests include comics and superheroes, like X-men, Justice League, Teen Titans.

I also like art, both digital and live. I am highly interested in music. My school’s even dedicated to music theory and vocal/instrumental learning.

Yes, I am full of “innocence”, or as Shivi would put it, “Boy Scout”

-Turkey or ham?

I’m a turkey person. I don’t know why, but I have always preferred it over ham.

I would contact the Justice League ;D but I would only tell them what is going to happen if they made me a member. I am so lame...

-What's your favorite movie that Eliza Dushku's been in?

Bring it On! I love most of her movies, but Bring It On was one of the most fun and memorable, plus Missy was an awesome character

Favorite season of Buffy?

I would say season 3. I really enjoyed that season's story line, and the way the our characters interacted and their emotion. Plus, tons of cool episodes. Season Six comes in at a very close second though.

Favorite season of Angel?

I really liked the first season of Angel more, although the other seasons are great, the ones from the beginning just felt better to me. Not to mention, Sanctuary and Five By Five are in there. Season 4 would come in second. I mean, come on, Orpheus?!

Since I know you like X-Men (I do too), what is your view on Magneto?

I don’t think Magneto is completely evil…I mean he is just fighting for the people who are different. He is tired of Being discriminated upon. He hates how humanity has treated him, and his kind…and he has been through both the Holocaust and mutant discrimination, so how could he be blame him for hating the people who oppress him? He has seen the worst in humanity, but that is all he sees entirely. though I think He may have a slight mental illness

Who is your least favorite X-Men character?

I would have to say Blob. He just doesn’t interest me but I did like him a little in the X-men: Evolution cartoon.

What's your favorite Maroon 5 song?

This Love! Typical, I know, but it’s a great song

Do you mean regular Action or Superhero Action? I love the Spider-man movies…and Fantastic Four ;D I do own Punisher, DareDevil and Elektra, but they aren’t my absolute favorites. Other than that, I don't own many action movies.
