This was unexpected. It is sad when the Season 8 comic is doing so well right now. But I guess it was becoming harder and harder to find ideas for articles with both shows being off the air for a while now.

OMG! No! I've been collecting this magazine since May 2002 and I am devastated! I love it! I really look forward to it every other month. First the MAC style figures are ending and now this! And the Season 8 comic is doing SO well! I am really upset by this.

I haven't bought it for about a year. To be honest, I felt that it had nothing new to offer me. The price was always increasing and the content was getting less interesting. A few of the cast interviews were good but the problem I found was that most of the news was months old by the time you read it.
Still sad to see it go.

Id been buying it since the first ever issue...but I stopped buying it around season 6...so about 2001/2002. I found myself not being able to look away from the spoilers and kept ruining the plot twists for myself.
So for the last season I wanted to stay away from all knowledge of it...so I stopped buying.
Im not surprised the mag has stopped...I would have thought itd stop ages ago and its a testiment to the fandom of bufyf that it kept going despite the fact the show finished in 2003.

I've been getting this since Issue 1 back in August 1999. I will miss it They could have got it to 100 issues and stopped there. That'd have been better.

I will miss this too!!! I love this magazine. But I totally understand that it's getting near impossible to come up with content - the interviews of show guest stars were getting to the point that cover headlines stating "And don't miss our exclusive interviews with John Doe who played "Turok Han #12" in the classic story Chosen as well Mary Smith who played "Random Sunnydale Pedestrian" in Graduation Day Part I!!!" didn't sound too far off from happening.
Still, it was always nice to have a Buffy (and Angel!) magazine always waiting for you on the newstands. Bye Bye Buffy Magazine - we love you! <sniff sniff!>

I hadn't been collecting from the start but I had got quite into reading it. I stopped reading late last year, pretty much for the same reasons as The Second Evil.

I only recently started picking up issues, and it's only here and there - usually when there is an article on the figures, or about some of the sets and stuff. I'd get it more reg. but like a lot of people have said the price tag is kinda high for only the occasionally interesting article.
I just think it's depressing that all this Buffy stuff is ending, when essentially Buffy is back and kicking ass. I hope a new generation of Buffy merch is on the horizon.

bummer. but the last couple of years they have really been reaching for article content. you can only do so many "what if so and so would have coupled up?" pieces and reviews of james marster's music. yet i still bought every issue

I just got the 94th and final issue of Buffy/Angel magazine today. Goodbye Buffy mag. I'm still upset, although it lasted for 94 issues! That's a lot! And it's been nearly 4 years since the show last aired and the magazine lasted this long. It just shows how popular the show is. Thank you to everyone at Buffy/Angel magazine! I'll miss it! P.S. By the way, is the magazine in the US ending as well?

Wish they'd carried it on to issue 100! Is it a good issue?

Wish they'd carried it on to issue 100! Is it a good issue? So do I bagofknives. I worked it out and issue 100 would have come out in around this time next year. Yeah it's good. Although, the front cover is a bit depressing. It's like a "This is the end" cover if you know what I mean. I wish they would of livened it up more. Instead of fang mail, it's got goodbyes from some Buffy/Angel stars and the people at the mag. And on the back page it's got a goodbye note from Joss. Apart from that and Natalie (the editor) saying goodbye in the editorial, it's just like any old Buffy magazine. Not bad for a final issue though.

Is the last issue worth getting? Whats in it? Im probably too late now! Its OK. I mentioned a bit about it above. It's got interviews with Nicholas Brendon, Juliet Landau, Mercedes McNab, Harry Groener, Keith Szarabajka, Camden Toy, Mark Lutz and Jo Chen, the woman that does the covers of the season 8 comics. So theres a lot of great interviews. Theres a few features, What not to Wear and Angel awards and theres a review on the Bones companion book. Theres also a profile on Michelle Trachtenberg. I don't think you're too late. It only came out on May 17th.

Thanks Strawberry. Is the UK issue the same as the USA one?

So this is it... I don't think it's something to be sad about. To last 4 years after the series has ended is incredible.
