I wonder if this is going to be along the lines of Tales of the Slayers. I really liked all those books and they were releasing one a year until except fot 2005. Does anyone know if tehy are planning any more of these? I thought they were great and I haven't heard any news one way or the other about anything new that may be coming out.

I think a Slayer's Diary sounds cool. Um...that's pretty much all I have to say.

I'll only be interested if it's a Slayer that we know.

I'll only be interested if it's a Slayer that we know. Maybe Buffy, Faith or Kendra? Or it could be a mixture. Although my money's on a completely new Slayer Not sure whether that's a good thing.

A mixture would cool. I just always like Buffy books with the characters from the show. I tried Tales of the Slayers but couldn't finish it.
But yeah, I'm also betting it's a new Slayer. Maybe her name is Malice?

Omfg. I'd DIE if it was Faith's diary; that would be SO awesome. We'd get to learn more about Faith in-depth from the girl herself

Sounds Good. I've fallen a bit behind with my Buffy Book Buying due to lack of time and interest (The Last I got was Queen of Slayers), but I think this is just what I need to get my attention again. Roll on July, I'll be buying!

Synopsis:
All her life, Faith has been a loner. Growing up in a broken home in south Boston, the only friend she could talk to was an imaginary companion called Alex, who helped her to escape to a fantasy world of monsters, far from the grim reality of her everyday life. But when social services take her away from her mother, Faith discovers all too soon that monsters themselves are real. When Diana Dormer, a representative from the Watchers' Council, comes to prepare her for her destiny - to be the Slayer, the Chosen One; to stand alone against the forces of darkness - Faith is better equipped than most for the task ahead. Then her childhood companion, Alex, returns to bring her a warning in her dreams. Something is coming for her, something beyond her wildest nightmares: a force so deadly and unforgiving that it has inspired fear for a thousand generations - and its name is Malice. As memory and fantasy begin to merge, Faith's two world's collide, with cataclysmic results - and a violent battle begins for the Slayer's soul.

I was happy to hear it is about Faith- the title sounded Faithish. But what's up with the imaginary friend? That seems weird. I wonder if it will be in journal style or just like a story- should be interesting. Its interesting to see takes on what else happen in the verse even if its not 100% officially from Joss. I was reading some fanfic on Season 8 (not the dirty kind) and comparing it to Queen of the Slayers- It was interesting - I hope one day we'll really know what happens!!!

I am telling you that you can NOT miss this book! This book is just amazing. If your Faith fan you really can't not love this book. It's sad, funny, depressing.
It's cool seeing what she went through before becoming the slayer and what it was like for her at school and at home. You also find out why Faith got her tatoo and how she came up with Five by Five. There is also a cool little story with "Steve the klepto" that she mentioned in Buffy. "Kenny the drumer" is a big part in this book.
This book is also fun for people who live in Boston or people who visit Boston a lot. Also a mention of Newbury Comics (the only place I get Buffy/Angel action figures) so I though that was neat. DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK!

You wont be dissapointed! Here is my Amazon review:
5 Stars: Now I have read 45 Buffy books, call me a geek, I don't care. Today I picked up my 46th Buffy book, Go Ask Malice. And this is my new favorite book. Not just Buffy, but my favorite book EVER!
I am telling you that you can NOT miss this book! This book is just amazing. If your a Faith fan you really can't not love this book. It's sad, funny, depressing, scary and action packed. Of course I'm Faith fan, she is one of my favorite characters, but this book made me appreicate her more then I did. And I think that it's amazing a book can do that
It's cool seeing what she went through before becoming the slayer and what it was like for her at school and at home. You also find out why Faith got her tattoo, how she came up with Five by Five, "I'm bad, I'm evil, I'm bad", how Kakistos had a big impact on her life and how Kakistos got his mark that Faith gave him, how she came up with the Watcher Retreat excuse. There is also a cool little story with "Steve the klepto" that she mentioned in Buffy. "Kenny the drumer" is a big part in this book.
When Faith becomes the Slayer you can really see how she is different then Buffy and how much she enjoys slaying. The story is top notch! Not being a HUGE fan of the Suicide King I didn't expect much from Robert Joseph Levy but he blew me away! I really enjoyed the diary format more then the story format. I liked hearing things from Faith's POV.
This book is also fun for people who live in Boston or people who visit Boston a lot. DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK!
