I got mine last night and got the drawn close up picture of Angel. They've been selling out fast at my comic store, lucky I have a folder there.

Yeah I got that cover too Spikerific. I haven't read it because I like to wait until I have all the issues but I always flick through and have a look what's going on and this looks very interesting...

I missed out on Angel: The Curse but I picked up the TPB at my local comic shop. I thought it was ok, not the best. I think Old Friends is A LOT better.

To me, "Angel: The Curse" seemed like a 3-issue arc spread out over 5 issues. Still, I picked up every issue (including multiple covers of some of them) and will probably pick up the TPB this week. "Angel: Old Friends" has been much better in my opinion, though I've been disappointed in the variations of the cover art (which is why I've limited myself to the Messina covers and the photo covers).

I got the Messina cover for this one, which looks nice out of the other choices. I really like the way the story is going too, and to me, the art is what stands out. I love the color and the shadows, and those glossy pages make it seem worth more than the dollar extra it costs.

Got it and hated it. The art was bad, the story wasn't that good and the writing sucked.

Got it and hated it. The art was bad, the story wasn't that good and the writing sucked. I agree. Both the artwork and storyline could have been so much better. It really seemed like the story started off somewhere, and the writer couldn't figure out where to go with it, so it ended up rambling. (Oh, and BTW, in the Angel-verse, where is Drusilla supposed to be in the 40s/50s. She wasn't in "Why We Fight", she wasn't in this comic. Anyone have any answers?)

I really loved this! I though it was a lot better than the first. The art was amazing. The artist really nailed the look of Amy Acker!

I dont want to call up my comic store every day and bug em "did you get it in yet!!!!" lol Based on the previous releases, IDW has been releasing these at the end of the month, so if it is listed as Feb. 2006, it'll probably be the end of Feb., and some shops may not even get it until the first week of March.

Every Monday www.diamondcomics.com updates their shipping lists. The guy at my local comic shop told me that i should follow what that website says rather than the individual publishers' sites. I think it's because IDW lists publication dates not shipping dates.

Got my Spike: Old Wounds this morning. My favourite cover is the S5 cast one. The art looks really good, and I shall be reading it later!
