Hi, Don't know if this has been mentioned already but I found an image of the variant Darla figure as well as shirtless Angel and the Annointed One. Don't know if you guys have seen it yet. Found it on www.mypopstore.comI think these are still the computer images and not actual products but it's very funny. Anyone know anything about the Angel figure?

Has the Xander Paint Scheme changed? It looks good on there. I believe it's the variant Xander, or maybe another exclusive, it looks like "The Pack" Xander to me. I hope it's an exclusive because I really like the orginal Xander colors.

Remember, each block figure comes with an alternate set of clothing. If you got the Xander one, you'd get the first version and the second "Pack" outfit.

I think that's the variant Xander. Darla and the Master are also pictured in their variant versions. (Speaking of Xander, does anyone know how to remove an avatar? I didn't mean to get one and I can't rid of it! But, these are still the computer prototypes because the PALz body has changed. Check out this link to see the new and improved versions, male AND female! www.palisadestoys.com/new/whatsnew/thebit/XFiles/Wed6_16_04.phpThis new design has really impressed me. I also really like the way the variants are part of the normal figures. That Palisades is going to such lengths to make these figures cool makes me want to support them. But unless I can find these in stores, I doubt I will. Instead, wouldn't it be awesome to wait until all the Buffy PALz are released and buy the entire line at one time, that way avoiding doubles but getting everyone essential? That's the tactic I'm taking.

I just noticed, but look at Darla's guns! They're so little! And she looks so happy!

Any chance they will donate a set to the board to raffle off?

So, I guess that the alternate outfit for Xander has changed, orginally it was "Vamp-Fighting Xander" (whatever that was), now it's "The Pack" Xander. *sigh* I love Palisades!

I'm still trying to decide whether or not I want to purchase these. They look like they would be cool figures to own, but I'm still going to have to think about it a little more.

At first glance, I thought...'COOL'..., they raised the arms to fit into the shoulder sockets, that's much better, but then I looked at the other new 'improvements' that were made, and I can't say I'm happy with them.
These are the changes I noticed. The head is much bigger, and the neck is shorter, then the pictures we have been viewing for the past several weeks. (I thought the heads were rather large to begin with and was just getting used to them. Now they are just too big.)
The arms and hands are now square/retangular instead of being rounded. It is definately more blockish then before, if that is what they were going for, but as I was a little disappointed at the beginning at the lack of detail, (and it's original blockishness) making it squarer does not help (for me). Now, I suppose I might have gotten used to these new changes eventually, given time, the one thing I can't stand in these new improvements, are the hands. They look like deformed claws, and they distract my eyes from the whole figure. They look that bizarre!
As for the new 'breasts', that have been added to the female figures, I can take 'um or leave 'um. That particular change doesn't enhance or detract from the figure, for me.
Anyway, I just ordered these figures this morning, so I'm a little disappointed in learning about these changes, this afternoon.

It depends if the store nearest you decides to carry them or not. But in case anyone wasn't sure, the Buffy PALZ were offered for order in the Diamond Previews June Catalog, so all comic book stores have access to the figures, it's just depends on if they chose to carry them.

I'm the same as well. I'm definitely intrigued, but will need some more convincing that they're worth buying. Personally, I would have preferred it (and would have felt I was getting my money's worth) if in most cases they'd included two seperate figures in pack rather than having the transformation.
This is what they're doing with The X-Files, so perhaps retailers felt the same?
For me, The Master transformation feature is really pointless. There's no way I'd have him displayed in 'skeleton' form instead of 'regular form'. I would have liked another figure with him instead.
'Slayer training Giles' sounds like a cool transformation, but shouldn't it still be possible to have him as a two-pack with someone else?
Willow into Opera Willow... no thanks.
Nothing against Palisades... they're one of my favourite companies, but personally I think the transformation feature sucks. It's hard to justify buying the figures when in, reality, you're paying for one figure at a much higher cost than two minimates.
I may still get them, I don't know, but I hope they lose transformation in favour of two-packs for the second wave...

I loved the figures at first; then i found that forbidden planet wouldn't have them; then they announced the special Darla chase which, considering how hard it may be for me to get the regular ones, is gonna cost a bomb, and i think these figures are a bit overpriced in the first place. And now they change the bodies, which in mind were better in the first place. Man am I depressed now. El duderino.
