Eeek...I think they looked better in the in progress shot we saw earlier. Regular Willow looks weird. I might pick up a Buffy if I can find her somewhere cheap, but thats it.

The faces on these final PALz are not good. The chins are too big, and the facial features aren't big enough. I liked the prototypes where the chin had some curve at the bottom, but these final pieces look awful. Willow's hair is also too much like a helmet. And Opera Willow is just ugly. The faces need a lot of work before these are released.

The faces need a lot of work before these are released. Right on all points, she looks really crappy and cheap. The computer images we've seen looked alot better than the actual finished Willow figure. If they all look like this, uh oh!

I've never understood these. They should have just made them official legos and have cool sets to build. Oh well, I dont have to buy them, I know... and I'm not. But cool for all of you who love them!
The previous message was all my opinion. Do not flame me. I dont like them, but others do, and thats good. Its like... I hate onion rings, but I know other people like them, otherwise they would have been discontinued a long time ago.

I'm still going to buy them. I guess it's because of that addiction to all things Buffy that I suffer from. I have to admit though that they don't really look that great anymore. I agree that the proto-types actually looked better.

I still think they are cute, I guess my expectations weren't so high on these so I'm not disappointed. Its a block figure, so I'm pretty much expecting well um .. a block.

I think it's great! Except yeah the chin is a bit big but they'll fix that probably and the hair on normal willow is a bit blocky but it is a block figure. Really like the Opra willow!

I am only going to buy Buffy and Darla.. if I can find them uber cheap. These never really excited me... but I can't really complain, it's better getting these palz figures than not getting them at all.

I like the look of Opera Willow. The one thing I hate about palz is that the wide mouth always wrecks any possible likeness.

As for the uber amount of chin, Palisades people have said that's being fixed. So, they will look leagues better soon!

Hey all,
Travis here from Palisades Toys. Sorry for the lengthy absence. I always intend to get on here and check things out over my lunch break but it never seems to work out that way... Road to hell, and all...
Anyway, I wanted to let you all know that the Willow PALz that I showed in that Daily Bit is far from final product -- in fact, it's the factory's FIRST attempt, and it's quite wrong. Many, many changes will still be made before the final product is ready. My Daily Bits usually feature product as it is being developed, but I sometimes take for granted that everyone knows that. (Oops, sorry!)
I was just so amazed by the transformation and wanted to show that off. So, while you are all certainly welcome to your opinions, I want you to know that the product will look MUCH better before it hits the market.
I promise to be around more... Partly to answer questions about the block figures and prop replicas, and also partly because I ama Buffy collector and I need "the scoop" too!! Please feel free to let me know if anyone has any questions.
Thanks!
Travis

It certainly is great to see the transformation feature in effect! I was a bit confused about exactly how it would work, but now I get it. As for those complaining about the likeness... it's a cartoony set of eyes and a mouth painted a smooth surface, was anyone honestly expecting a perfect replica of the actors or photorealism here? I look forward to seeing more of what's coming as these are developed further!

Hey DanMan,
That's actually a good point. Although the PALz have a long way to go before they are complete, they are NEVER going to look exactly like the actors that portrayed the characters. I have seen some newer images, and although they are better (yet still not 100%) you get "hints" of the the character. It's tampo printing on a cyliner...
But, as block figures go, these are pretty damn sweet!!

I just wanted to say how excited I am about the PALz! I have them all preordered (excpet for the exclusives of course) and can't wait to see more pictures and hear more news. You daily bits are what get me up in the morning. Power to the PALz!
