I'm afraid I had to go with no ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) This is my first post here as I just got into Buffy figures (the deluxes) and I think we're going to be lucky to get the Willow variants let alone any sculpts that aren't already tooled. One ask DST would go so far right now. From what I gather JusticeDemon works for DST and loved Buffy figures, why isn't he here telling us what's going on? I read the interview that DST did saying that "Buffy figures are far from over" well alot of good that's going to do after DST has alienated the Buffy fans and customers that they do have by ignoring us and leaving us hanging. I'm confused Well put! I agree 100%. Welcome to the board, Halfrekfan. I hope you have fun here. If you're new to collecting, now is the time to get some awesome deals on figures in the Magic Box section of the board. Thanks so much for the welcome girl power! Thanks for the suggestion about the Magic Box section too but thanks to DST my collection is complete ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png) I only like the Deluxe figures as I think that the headsculpts on most of them are mind blowingly awesome. So far my collection is "complete" with End of Days Buffy, Chosen red-headed Willow, School Hard Spike, and soon Crush Drusilla. I wish I could add Faith to the mix but I just can't find Eliza anywhere in that figure, and i've spent too much time trying lol. An Angel would be nice but I *hate* that Vampire headsculpt with the closed mouth and having him dressed as a poor imitation of James Dean or wearing that tacky Hawaiian shirt doesn't appeal to me either. (Would a regular Angel have killed you DST?) I've decided that I will give DST until Toyfair in February to see if any new deluxers are shown before I start to fill in the character gaps with the regular mini-statue figures. Triangle Tara is tempting though as Tara has a big place in my heart, right next to Hallie and Dru. If by some chance the Willow Variants make it out I guess i'll start collecting variants and go back and get the other Buffy's and Destiny Spike. I just don't want 34 figures and have 4 different characters lol. I guess T&ST are getting an exclusive and i'm hoping that it is a deluxe figure. Okay sorry to have ranted so long it's just that I don't have anyone to talk Buffy figures with and when I find the chance I talk alot lol.

I just wonder if things would be differently if the figures would've been better and sold better. I'm thinking that the next Deluxe line would've come to be as it was supposed to with Gunn, Fred, Illyria and Connor. It would've been nice to get these figures as well as getting the figures planned, all of the Deluxe Willow variants that looked so good, Drusilla, Oz, Wood, the remaining Faith and Glies figures as well as a 10th anniversary figure all would've made a great addition to the figures that I had.

Yeah, as much as I hate to say it, I'm 99.9999999% certain that Gunn will never get made into a figure - deluxe or regular. DST have pretty much abandoned the franchise and even if they keep making figures, they seem to have given up on Angel a long time ago.
Any company that decides to go with Robin Wood instead of a main character in huge demand is unsurprising to not be doing too well.

Yeah, it killed me whenever DST would say in the Ask Diamond posts (jeez, it's been how long since we had one of those?) something to the effect of "Gunn is not a major enough character to justify making into a figure." That spoke volumes to me about just how brainless someone over at DST really is. Hello... one of the few characters to have stretched from the first to last seasons? Featured in the main credits for the better part of its run?!
As cool as a Wood figure would be (uhm, no pun intended), DST could have just as easily sculpted a Gunn head and thrown it on that "Bad Girls" Wesley body.
Well, the figure run was nice while it lasted. But it's too bad we'll never see figures based on the Season 8 comics, or Angel: After the Fall. (I'd prefer new Deluxe figures, though...)
