i am getting a lil worried by the amount of pointless accesories DST seem to be sending out though, I just dont think Angel needs to come with a thermos and a novelty mug. He was such a physical and violent character, shouldn't he come with a load of weapons? I'm glad there is non-weapon accessories. Before, that is all that was released with the characters. For instance Angel Series 1 Angel is all weapons. If you are in need of weapons, I recommend picking him up, tossing the figure, and displaying all the cool weapons in the more improved Angel. I agree, sorta. I mean, I am glad to get some new fun little things like the thurmas. But I also like weaposn^^; I do think all the figures (well most) should have a weapon that they use alot.

i love getting things other than weapons with the things i can make my own W&H, just take JJJ desk from Spiderman put the mug and memory box and thermos and then its Angels i dont think there are weapons that characters use alot but the figures are still coming with weapons, wesleys guns, angels sword, freds axe chopper, illyrias sword and axe, wesleys axe, buffys scythe i want more things like books to fill up wesley and taras bookshelf and the library and like, id rather have fred come with a microscope than a gun cuz its more her if Angel came with more weapons, that would be cool, but he didnt fight with weapons alot in season 5 the little things are funny (anyas money which she loves, tara and willows cat, angels son, freds chinese food) keep them coming

I'd prefer more weapons.
I don't display the "fun" accessories, so they're of no use to me once the novelty value of them has worn off upon opening the packet.
The two blobs on either side of the thermos I don't even recognise? Looks like some kind of small gold box and well, horse dung for the other.
IF we end up getting an Angel themed playset, then I'd probably have some fun displaying them, but at the moment I have nowhere for these kind of accessories to go, hence why they have no value to me. Whereas I'm always swapping and changing their weapons around and most of the original MAC weapons were so fragile that combined with the figures who wouldn't stand they've been broken and repaired so many times they don't look as nice (with all the globs of superglue).
But, that's just me. I'm more dissapointed in the Buffy/Dawn wave than the Fred/Illyria line. Buffy and Dawn are severely lacking weapons, which sadly will be a factor I consider when purchasing the figures because I like to be able to equip my figures properly with character specific weapons (eg, I really wish Fred was coming with the small one-sided axe that she and Lorne seemed to use quite a lot as "their" weapon or a cross-bow which also seemed a popular "Fred" weapon).
And looking forward to seeing how the final Fred figure has turned out. Though, I wish they'd announce the boxed sets BEFORE these are released so that I could make a better judgement as to which to buy.
Cheers, Haeph.

The goldbox, I do beleive is the one from "Origins" that is smashed and gives everyone their memories back. and the horse dung, looks like the amulete he used to stop time in 5.21.

I personally LOVE the little accessories. The more the merrier, certainly, but I for one am glad it's not all just weapons. In fact, as Season 5 Angel is representative of Season 5, I can't think of anything more appropriate than the "Boss" Mug - perfectly complimenting the Angel of that season, his new position at W&H, and so on and so forth. I also love the Thermos (though this would be an ideal Harmony accessory too - but I'm fine with them both getting it - assuming we ever get a Harmony). Dig Leo - the amulet/necklace/doodad used to stop time - you mean the "glamor" he used to make it look to anyone else (like Hamilton) that they were all fighting when really they were making their plans against the Black Thorn Circle? I can't see it very well in the pic, but if that's what you're referring to then that's a good call! Also, the gold box I think (as others have suggested) is most likely the Oorlon Window Box that when smashed reveals the "true" reality and restores the memory of those nearby. So a fairly significant accessory for Season 5, Wes and Illyria (hmm...tho as with the Thermos, this would also be a great Connor Season 5 accessory - and who knows, maybe we'll get a Cyrus Vail (sp?) and maybe even Sahjon! (I know, I'm dreaming, but wouldn't those figures rock??? Sahjon with the Urn, Cyrus with his life support system and tubes - anyway, I digress). :-) Again, I think the accessories show that DST puts a LOT of thought into their figures and what accessories hold the most symbolism and significance for most die hard fans of the show. It's like a little wink wink to us, and the average buyer probably doesn't even pay much attention to the accessories anyway (weapons or otherwise) apart from maybe one thing to pose the figure with. So yeah, I'd definitely include a sword or two (does he come with one at all?) but the ones we're sure he does come with are exceptional and absolutely appropriate for the figure and the time period it represents. Again, the only thing I'd suggest DST needs is a backdrop and/or printed cardboard pop up "rooms" or "backgrounds" that could come with the figures and larger ones could be sold as display arenas for the figures (similar to the Star Wars Cantina/Jabba' Palace sets. Inexpensive to produce so very little risk, and fans love them!!!). Or maybe someday I'll actually make my own like I keep saying I'm going to...I wonder if Wolfram and Hart could take my procrastination away like they did Lorne's Sleep (or shouldn't that have been the "ability to sleep"? Sleep as a noun always seemed a little off to me...but again, I diigress - it's late and I need sleep myself! <grin>

arent we already getting rooms not really rooms, but walls oh fun i would personally have a playset than cardboard, cuz itll last longer but i could see the pop up rooms working in some cases, like if chosen buffy could come with one of the hellmouth, maybe some of the potentials behind her walking in that might be cool otherwise id like a playset, more fun!

Ah, Cool Beans! These look awesome. I can't wait for Illyria and Season 5 Angel (who's looking great!). I love the detail in his accesories. The only thing I don't like about these are the size of their bases which dominate the packaging and the blur on Illyrias face. But then again these faults arent that important. Can't wait to get mine!

I can kind of see what you mean, but why are you worried about it? I think worried was the wrong term there. What I meant is that I would rather have more weapons than silly lil shoulder bags and shovels. I'm all for more occult books though!
