This is my 2nd fav Spike fig it looks exactly like Spike in Vamp mode , i dont mind that the coat is shiney or two short , that means his legs will be able to move

I love this figure. I think the detail in the vamp face is perfect, I do hope DST redo the jacket before this figure is released.

Grrrrrrr  Great figure. Great vamp face. Terrible glossy jacket. Spike never wore a shiny jacket like this  Hope it is changed. And he stands !!! Which is a vast improvement on the MAC vamp Spike. I reckon this one will fly off the shelves. Cool figure. Wonder if we will get a bloody vamp varient in a box set like with vamp Willow. Hope so !!  |

Hmmm, not bad. Not at all keen on the duster, for as others have pointed out it's far too shiney.
The face is not too bad though, and overaul it's going to be worth me getting it.

I'm really glad that at least one of these will come with his coat. Spike without it is a little sad, although they picked some great episodes for the other figures' looks. This makes it more than just a vamp head on repainted body. It looks shiny yeah, but that could just be the lighting/flash from the camera. I like that it looks different from the more matte fabric, and that's important. I think it would have been a shame to just get the old MAC version of Spike and never have another representation of him in the coat. Also, I am SO excited about a decent looking Vamp Spike!

That coat definitley looks like the rubbery material. If you look at it around the shoulder, it raises off of him a little bit more than it should. If it were sculpted onto it then it wouldn't raise so high. Looks just like how Anyankas is on her.

The duster is a lil shiney for me, but I still wish that we would get a reg Spike with it on... Maybe a variant down the line would be wonderful. I think that I'll be shootin for this guy too.

Finally, I can add a Vamp Spike to my collection for a reasonable price!
That glossy duster makes him look like a character from The Matrix. Hopefully the final product color will become more subdued, maybe a matte black.

As everyone has said, his jacket should be less glossy, which I'm sure DST will fix.
Also, though, I think his hands should be replaced. I didn't like it when Vampire Angel was given monstrous hands back in Buffy S1, and I don't like it now with Spike in Angel S2. When someone shows their vamp face, their hands don't change, so I'd just like a pair of regular spike hands with this figure.

He's great! I thought the last Vamp Spike looked more like a zombie than vampire. Ugh... This wave is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better! Whoo hoo! I need a wall stretcher! I am running out of wall space for my MOCs! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm sure the jacket will be toned down... all I can say is "wow"... Kudos to DST! Yippie! Pardon my ADD LOL

This is so much cooler than the old vamp Spike, I don't mind the shinyness it's kind of cool hehe don't know why but I like it.
