Here's an illustration to, er, illustrate my suggestion "I wish they'd take Anya's head from the Tower exclusive, where her hair is up in the back, and use that head. At least that would be much different." I wouldn't be opposed to that. It looks okay.

Ooh, I just realized why they aren't using the Once More With Feeling head - it has built-in earrings that are really episode specific. They would make her look sort of overdressed from the neck up or underdressed from the neck down. Oh well.
I just hope they do a better paint job on her this time. The brown-with-yellow hair looked like melted crayons the first time out.

I don't see why there is even an issue. We are finally getting D'Hoffryn. He is a brand new sculpt that has never been released. And tell me why the Willow Spellbook sold out even tough there were NO new sculpts. The reason everyone bought one was to have a new White Witch Willow. The same thing will happen with this Book. Everyone will buy it because of D'Hoffryn. Why would DST take a big gamble on this line? It is only on it's second wave. Molds cost ALOT of money. Maybe if we all buy this one, the next might have two new sculpts. And with the Anyanka thing, I say if it ain't broke...don't fix it. That "Selfless" Anya is just plain ugly. Sorry. But I wouldn't pay for something like that.

After alot of reasoning, I really don't care about Anyanka being exactly the same anymore because I know I'll still buy it at the end. The only thing I believe they should do, as others have already said, is light a bit her skin color.

I will definatly buy this (2 of them one to open one boxed) the fact we are getting DHoffryn makes me soooo happy. and hopeful maybe they will make the Judge in a boxset later on. As for the Anya's being the same I dont care..we getting DHoffryn! I do think it might have been nice to have Anyanka & Hell's Bells Anya (instead of Fear Anya) since he came to the no wedding. I am very happy.

Disappointed that two Anyas that we already have will be in this boxset (I know it's a different paint scheme, whoopdee do) but I'll deal. I desperately want D'Hoffryn and if this is the only way to get him then so be it.

See I like the idea of using the OMWF head on the new FI Anya - because, if you painted the top black, the hair dark and the pants grey you could have a "loosely based" Selfless Anya.

Im happy this is official.
but...................... I hate to say what every body else is saying but they REALLY should AT LEAST repaint Anyanka a little lighter.
Out of the whole Anya & Tara set I was really looking forward to Anyanka but the brownish gold color just isnt cool.
Unfortunatly this figure was a little disapointing to many just because of the color scheme. (The sculpt is fine)
PLEASE DST listen to us. ( Give us a slight repaint at least)
I own the Willow boxset but to be totally honest I dont like it at all.
ALL of the Willow should have been REPAINTS!
Especially when they made those expensive con specials in those cheap plastic bags.
World Tour Willow and SDCC Willow.
If you ask me the Willow Spellbook box set should have included 3 repaints........ Vamp Willow with the blood, World Tour Willow, and the SDCC Willow without the viens.
I will be buying this regardless but I sure wish they would repaint Anyanka.
I dont care about the color of the accessories especially if you cant see them if you display them MIB.
I would hate to see more of these cheaply bagged and EXPENSIVE exclusive repaints appear of Anya later next year when we could be getting them in this boxset.
D'Hoffryn is great. Cant wait!!!!

I don't think it's fair to complain about DST and expensive bagged figures that they gave away for free. They may be expensive on the secondary market, but DST GAVE THEM AWAY! Personally, I'd feel pretty stupid paying for these free repaints in a boxset. Though I certainly understand your frustration, and hope that they don't make a superior Anya that is not readily available (which I can't really imagine).
Interesting thing I didn't notice at first: the repainted FI Anya in the set has blond highlights making her look more like the original prototype. That's a nice variation.
Wedding Anya in the set: would have definitely been a nice choice very much in keeping with the theme. It also would have allowed for a superior paintjob after the generally poor factory job of the original. My thinking though is that they didn't want to screw over Cinequest by just remaking their exclusive in the set. They did that last time with Dark Will, so now it's another exclusive-holder's turn.

But if we had Anyanka and Hells Bells Anya in the set their would only be ONE figure that is new or a different varitaion and DST couldn't chance that. The fact that Anyanka has been included has caused controversy so putting in an unchanged Hells Bells Anya would be far too risky and people would complain.

i am SO excited to be getting a D'Hoffryn!!!! i am a little dissapointed about having to buy all 3 just to get him though maybe if they used wedding anya's arms, regular anya's torso, bunny anyas legs, and anyankas hair, added straps to the sleeve, it might look REALLY COOL! i'm gonna make a picture to show, but i think it could look nice and changed the colors a bit. to make it more episode specific. like the selfess one would work i guess. i used a black and white photo so it looks ridiculous and my photoshop skills leave little to be desired, but WHATEVER! you'll get the point! any hair would be better than the hair on normal anya! ANYANKAS hair would be awesome! cause she had her hair straight like that a lot and NONE of the other anya's have straight hair like that! someone who makes customs, put anyanka's hair on normal anya's head so we can see if it looks ridiculous or not! PLEASE! alright, heres the darn picture. peace- pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/urbnvampslayers/detail?.dir=9fd9&.dnm=37b7.jpg&.src=ph

Do they have a mold of a naked Anya? I was just curious, because if they did, they could have just painted a shirt onto her so we wouldn't have to have yet another variation of the "frilly" shirt.

Wahoo! I'm so happy I was too lazy to get around to ordering Anyanka! Now I won't have a duplicate. Well, another "plain" Anya is kind of a duplicate, but maybe I'll try my hands at a Buffy custom. Getting D'Hoffryn and Anyanka is paying for another Anya.

yippee.. i would have been happier if the anyanka head was on a regular anya body...that would be been cool. something closer to selfless. But i am not going to complain! D'Hoffyrn will be so cool to have!

I am totally going to get this. I missed the WIllow Box Set and STILL haven't found a WHite Witch Willow (though I really want the articulated version in the boxset, not the carded, non-articulated one - so anyone has one to sell, lemme know!). :-)
I am sooo excited to be getting a D'Hoffryn, especially since...well, guess I can;t say right now. But - I think the articulation is off as people have mentioned, because the scale also (hopefully is wayyy off). I mean it says all3 figures stand 6" tall , and the pic even seems to back this up - but isn't D'Hoffryn like way way way taller than Anya? I'd figure he's at least as tall as Giles if not taller. AM I majorly out of scale or something? If anyone knows for sure please let me know - this matters to me for some reason. :-)

Is this available only through Toyfare?

I think that it is only available through Toyfare as it is thier exclusive and it's bound to be at DST seeing as they are the company that produced them. I"ll wait to buy it until it is in the DST store, as they will probably have it priced at $39.99 and Toyfare has it priced at $44.99, I mean a $5 difference is a big difference when you have to pay for shipping and everything. Toyfare states that the release date for this is February. I sure hope that it comes out on time.

switching anya's head that's cool, but I think she should have dark brown hair, if it's gonna be a Fear It's self Anya.

The Toyfare announcement on the wizarduniverse.com site says it is a "shared" exclusive so someone else should be selling it (my guess is Cinequest). However I doubt the partner would put it up for preorder at a lower price point.
