Wow. I was really looking forward to this, but now...
I don't think it looks good, and I don't think the dress is sculpted right. As everyone else has said, the top is not accurate and makes her look horrible. I think it's because they don't want to alter the original body sculpt, but her breasts need to be re-sculpted to fit with this outfit.
Some other angles and bigger pictures would be great, but the bottom of the dress is too big. This was a sleek outfit, and it doesn't look like it.
Also, I really hope she'll come with a veil. It'll look weird without half of the outfit. I just hope it's removable and it's being considered an accessory. Can anyone check on this? And can we get some more pictures?
I really hope this will be improved when it finally comes out.

I've checked with DST about this. Official word is that the picture Cinequest is using was a prototype picture. Changes have been made since then. I'm working on getting a larger picture showing some of the changes. I agree that the chest looks off, but the dress itself is fairly accurate. The veil isn't sculpted to the figure, and since it's not listed as an accessory, I don't think we're getting it.

It looks pretty good. I am sure I will like it alot more when I see an updated version of her. It would be great if she got to have a veil. This isnt the mystery exclusive cinequest had for preorder like a month ago is it? I am guessing not but I want to make sure.

I'm looking forward to the Wedding Anya, but even more so to the Willow/Tara Two-pack. That should be a great boset, especially since it's from Hush. It also comes with some great "couple" accessories. I'm loving how DST is handling everything! -CMK

FINALLY A MISS KITTY FANTASTICO!!!!!! yessssssahh!
Anyways, I think she looks neat, but I remember she kinda looked pregnant in that dress in the episode, so it doesn't bother me much... -- Also, I think she just looks spiffy. I'm psyched.

I'm glad it not the final sculpt. The top is much too low...looking saggy and it looks like shes sloutching giving her an ugly belley. But I do really like the hair. Hopefully they change these minor but necessary modifications.

After seeing my sister in her prom dress today, which is almost exactly like this one, I have to say that that's just the way a dress fits a girl that's not Mischa Barton (too skinny). The natural curves of a girl go in and out and the shadow area that you're all talking about it just normal. I don't think she looks pregnant at all, or like a Barbie Doll. She looks great! If we're basing it off of the episode, like we should be, she looks just like Anya did. I LOVE IT!

I really hope the face is changed in the final version. In the prototype she looks 20 years older & bloated. Ugh.

I'm not going to be overly critical based on one early prototype picture, but I have to agree with those who have problems with this figure at this point.
The face looks nothing like Anya to me... and I think she looks pregnant too. I appreciate the way that a level of realism and accurate anatomy is necessary for these figures...but they're based on TV stars, they can't look that normal! Anya shouldn't look fat at all. It's as simple as that. With these characters and the actors who play them, I think one should err on the side of portraying them as too physically perfect, rather than the other way around. They're way hotter than your average person.
I'm still in awe that we're getting this figure at all... after Anya was dropped from series 4 so many years ago, to have this version, with awesome accessories... it just makes the wait worthwhile. This variant couldn't have happened if she had come out way back then!

Personally I'm not worried about it, DST has done a great job, if willow's any indication, we can expect to see more:
Separate Hair pieces to make it look more realistic Better Likeness More Variants And Episode oriented figures.
so a few flaws in a working prototype is ok, I'm sure DST would not let the figure come out looking like this.

I think it looks pretty good. It is hard to tell one way or another what the face really looks like because of the pictures size. I too think the dress needs to be raised up a little and her belly trimmed down alot. Once that is done I think it will look awesome. Also they really made a point to say that wasn't the final sculpt so I would expect them to make alot of changes before its done.

I Like the Anya figure. She does look like she is pregnat, and the dress is a little low. Her head looks okay though.

Unfortunately this figure repeats what my big problem is with the normal Anya figure: monkey hands! Maybe it's just the angle, but her right hand especially just looks really huge to me. I really hope it's the angle or they plan to correct it or I'm afraid it's going to put me off of all of the Anya figures.

DST has said they'll be looking at the hands once the figures start production. Anya should be able to hold most if not all of her accessories. The "open hand" scupt seems to be a Moore specialty.
