I second those thoughts! Please keep going with the customising, wickedenigma. In the early days, I just churned out 50 customs that were pop-and-swaps with repaints before I even tried to do any sculpting, and then my first efforts were way more clumpy than that. There are some tips on my website about sculpting using sculpey clay. The main one is to do it in small stages that you can control, sculping part of it and then curing it to keep it as you want it before doing the next stage. www.sashacustoms.co.uk/home/about/howto-exampleFor something like a long coat, even now, I blend in bits of plastic or rubber coat from existing figures to form any part of the coat that is hanging free. Otherwise the sculpey is just not strong enough and breaks off. For the Daario figure I made above, the sack is made from part of Joffrey's hard plastic sash. I bent it round at the top and drilled a small hole and put a pin inside before super-glueing. I then just used a bit of sculpey at the top to blend it together. Another trick is to use some flat tin foil and with thin rolled out sculpey on either side of it. It can then hold the shape more securely while you're adjusting it and you can cut it into the shapes you want with scissors, before curing it.

I'm back filling a few days that I missed, as I've got several new entries to get in by the end of the month This entry is by customizer452...October 27 - "Terror Tails" Wicked Maleficent Of The WestThis is a custom doll I made of an amalgamation of Maleficent and the Wicked Witch of The West. This is an idea I've been planning for probably 8 years now. Finally, I had the right supplies to make her. I made her out of a Cinderella doll, I used Mr. Super clear to set the doll, then I got to draw her face one with colored pencils! I added the black hair, and design the pattern for the outfit. I wanted to keep Maleficent's horns but tie them together with the hat. So the hat has two spikes for the horns to fit in it. I also wanted her broom to be combined with her staff. I also made the skirt to be removable so I could change her into her Dragon Armer. She has additional skeleton wings and a tail to make her into her dragon form! DRAGON MODE

Wow, so many great customs (myself not included in there LOL)! Customizer 452, I especially love Maleficent and Halloween Buffy! Great to see you working in the 12 inch scale. Glad I could help with parts! Love Buffy's costume! Did you make it? And wickedenigma, your Magic Box is just incredible! I love seeing all the details (mini accessories, lighting). I have always wanted a Magic Box diorama. So jelly! Sash as always your work is sterling. Love the Willow/Glory set. Great sculpting and arrangement of figures. Painting flawless. Great work everyone, thanks for keeping the Halloween Challenge going! Hope we get a few more late additions! Happy Halloween Everyone and Kudos! Great job, everyone! I'm so glad that we managed to get some wonderful Halloween and gory-themed customs out this year!
Customizer452... I know you were super busy this time, but you're a champ as always, and managed to get more customs out than the rest of us! You have some really inventive ideas. Those skeletal yet fluffy mice were incredible. A great deal of thought went into making Malificent West (great name!) so that she worked as a clothed witch or armoured dragon. My favourite was Charles M Cheese, but I also have a soft spot for Sirenhead. He's adorably creepy and I love the concept of the tiny siren.
msperoxideluv... thanks for always being so enthusiastic about the Halloween event here, despite whatever is happening at home. You're a breath of fresh air! I do love a person whose glass is half full. Very nice little kitbash this year. Santa Gentleman is hilarious!
wickedenigma... Nikki Wood was great, especially for your first custom. And I'm so glad that you managed to do a Halloween remix of your amazing Magic Box diorama. The night view and twinkly lights really worked to set the scene. Great pumpkins too and I love that those Clerks laundry bags look like little ghosts. You've got a great eye! It's such a fantastically detailed diorama that I really think you should also post your original non-nighttime photos in its own thread in the Jossverse Customs section. Please also include details of how you made it and what you used. People are always interested in that side of it and any other anecdotes about the process. So I'm sure you'll get more comments and views there.
Well done everyone! Happy Halloween! xx
