and here I thought the 12 inch Chosen Buffy you did was epic, this is defiantly an outstanding piece of art. and I really love the comparison photo of this Buffy and the actual PF Buffy.. you can clearly see the differences and that the Chosen Buffy is alot more realistic. and of course of LOVE the use of the mini scythe to give it that extra hint of even more epicness. lol. ba|1. You have no idea how much I envy you and your collection. hehe.

I don't think there are enough adjectives in the world to describe how good this is. It's just brilliant. I'm so jealous its not mine. You're so talented, your work is beautiful. The shirt especially, is phenomenol but I love everything about it. The base is amazing.

Wayne. I have no words. I swear I am still sitting here with my mouth hanging open! I have NEVER seen a more perfect face in my entire life. HOW did you do that? She looks like she stepped right off the set of the show. I am in awe.
Hansi, Hansi, Hansi - I am booking my flight and getting my ninja outfit cleaned. Beware! Anne.

Wow, thanks for the amazing feedback everyone. Im speechless at the response! I should have left this as my Swan Song huh? lol It actually would of been if i still didnt have so many ideas for Premium Formats! its addictive and Im really enjoying the challenge of changing their pose to make them all unique pieces. This one was by far the most difficult but its really paid off and im thrilled! The face was just me taking my time. I didnt use any reference, i just painted what i felt fit and it worked. i used less black on the bottom which i think has opened the eyes up I forgot to upload this pic, but i love this angle Wayne

The work on this custom is just incredible, the details are so accurate, from the hair to the base, everything was done with care, it must have been a lot of work... but to be honest, there's something going wrong with the face for me, I can't see totally sarah here, I've just done this quick modification : As you can see the nose is too large/big and the eyebrows should be differents to look better like sarah's ones Again, despite that, it's a really great custom

Thats the real head, nothing has changed. I can barely see any differences in the comparison photos you posted other than the eyebrows. Sorry you dont think it looks like Sarah. Im very pleased with the finished thing, as is the buyer. Thanks for the feedback though.

Wayne the mug shot was photoshopped. If you look at buffy's right eye in the picture, her right eye not picture right. You see the top of the nose is more curved and as you saw the eyebrows had a different outline.
To be honest I think it's fine. The majority of everyone else think it's flawless which technically it is. So I wouldn't change a thing on it myself either unless the buyer request for such modifications. Sanding down statues are tuff, it's a very delicate material and your also work on a very delicate part - the nose.

Oh no, sorry, I didn't meant that something must be modified (I would not allow myself doing that), I know it's really hard to create custom, above all the face work, and here as I said except this detail it's a really really great custom with a lot of work, it was just my point of view

Your version is a bit too Amy Acker like to me. I thinks its just the angle/pic. Heres a pic from a different angle, where the nosesculpt looks different: I never had any worries about the likeness on the Premium Format Statues (having 4 of them), I actually thought they were very good. Sarahs nose is rather big, I think its just a little detail that got lost on that picture. Oh btw, heres another in progress pic (one of my most favorite ones) Wayne showed me after painting the face, really do love that shot as it shows perfectly her supercute face

Never thought that the blouse has some much details, shame job of diamond select on Chosen Buffy, lol, this version is amazing, wish to have a figure like that, lol, maybe some day, you really should work as a figure sculptor, this is just awesome.

Her face looks absolutely perfect to me, shape and paint wise. I can't see any problem wit it at all. In fact best Buffy likeness I've ever seen!!

This is a phenomenal piece. The sculpt, pose, and paint job is superb!
On the likeness issue...
Wayne, you're quite right about the nose. Sideshow sculpt the nose in a good shape but a little to big for SMG, on both their 1:6 and Premium Format lines. There's nothing to be done about it though. Trying to shave the nose would just ruin the shape. It's best to leave the nose alone. It's only slightly off, and that's not the fault of the customiser.
Wayne, if you've already packed and sent the figure, please ignore this for the current figure, but it's worth thinking about for the next one. I do think the eyes and eyebrows could do with a tweak. This custom is 98% perfect. But, if you're shooting for 100% (which you are capable of)...
On some of the Buffy promos, the advertisers photoshopped her with green eyes but, if you look at other good photos of SMG, she has blue eyes with a few brown flecks. They look too deep and dark on this custom. I would lighten them to blue with a touch of brown mixed in. When working on a small scale, you sometimes have to simplify a colour to get the overall correct impression.
SMG has quite straight eyebrows, and these look too curved. I've found that the exact eyebrow shape is crucial to a likeness. I think the reason that the comparison photo with the in-progress custom next to the original doll looks so good is because it was before you had given her curved eyebrows.
I don't get so nit-picky and specific with less experienced customisers. I'm just trying to push you to perfection. I'm immensely proud of you!
