Angelus crawling out of his grave in the episode The Prodigal. He's about 10cm high. Finished May 2011. Recipe: *Grass base from an unknown Angel/Buffy figure. *50s Angel deluxe. The top of the figure and the red shirt and red arms. This is my first finished action figure in this scale (I made three others years ago that I haven't finished... yet). Since the lightning in the scene was so dark and I only used screencaps as reference, without watching the scene itself, I could have gotten the hair or outfit partly wrong. For example, I didn't notice the ruffles at the end of his sleeve at first, so I had to make do with the sleeve I already had. Let's say I took some artistic freedom. I choose not to re-paint the face, just add some brown color(suppose to begrave dirt), since my painting skills are... limited. I didn't feel like ruining the figure. I might try a face -repainting on my next figure. Btw, the chunky hair? I thought I would be able to sculpt over the figure's original hair, and still make it look good, but nope. Next time, I'm cutting it off.

This is really nice Sky, in fact for your first action figure it's really, really good! I like the pose very much and you've done some really nice sculpting on his hair and necktie. Well done!

Thank you. It's not exactly my first, I've sculpted and partly painted three others, but never finished them(parts broke off, I lost interest etc etc), so let's say it's good for a fourth action figure, lol.
I think I've seen several customizers do similar customs, with similar poses. Gave me a bit off performance anxiety, but it doesn't look that bad. Except the top of his hair...

original custom ! I really like what you did with the base and the way you sculpted the torso. From the back, hair looks good, but I'm agree with you, it's not really natural in the front. Still good custom !

I think the hair isnt that bad, its close to the pic. I wonder why this angel was never made before? Was he? The idea is really cool. I think this is a Buffy Series 2 base, isnt it? The outfit is very well made, and I also love the mud, very realistic. What I dont like to much is the pose. Are the arms still movebale? If, it would look so much better having them both in the mud, so it looks more like he dig out himself. If they are not I would suggest adding more mud arround him, so it would reach his arms. Other then that, hes very well done! congrats

Thank you. I think the hair isnt that bad, its close to the pic. I wonder why this angel was never made before? Was he? I don't think he was in this outfit or around this time. I think the only Liam figure we ever got was the 12" one. And a bust. I think that's a series two base yes. I wasn't sure to which figure it belonged, just taht it wa sa early one. The arms aren't moveable. And I see your point, about that it would have looked cooler if he was "digging in", but I tried different poses and I went with one that was relatively easy, since i'm new at this, but that didn't look stiff. In the pose he is in now, he's just been digging and is pushing down with his left arm(doesn't show that well, he should have been closer to the ground) and is about to keep pushing with his right arm or crawl forward. If I got to redo the figure, I would cut off more of his torso, but I didn't have a saw and just ripped of his legs. I would have liked it if he was leaning forward, closer to the reference pic and crawling up, but I didn't think I could succed in making that picture look natural (and I want his face and front of the shirt to show), so I settled with him looking as if he was in motion, about to push up.
