Who fans... whats the cheapest way to get an Eccleston Doctor (preferably not the posed one)? Looking for one to customize. There are a fair few on eBay, mostly the original mid-dodge one, but some carded which are pretty expensive, and some loose mostly from the Eleven Doctors set. Cheapest is currently sitting at £2.99, plus about the same P&P. Unless you get lucky in a sale, that's a pretty good price.

Got my new figures from CO yesterday. Will probably be the last time I order from them, last year Amy came with a scraped face and this year River came with glue all over her face so quite disappointed. Seems like the QC has slipped again, think I will resort to buying them in shops to pick them out. Finding £9.99 quite objectionable as the retail price now too! One advantage to buying them in the shop is that at least by the time they reach them, the better variations will be in stock! Now I sound like a total moaner and I'm not, honest!

Now I sound like a total moaner and I'm not, honest! It's okay, we know you're not a moaner! I think that most of us on this thread have supported the Doctor Who range of figures in different ways. We've experienced excitement and disappointment, but we've enjoyed the line. Perhaps it's down to fatigue that we feel a bit like this, but a £10 price tag and quality issues are going to grate. It's pretty clear that these are the result of economic pressures, but it's still disappointing when you are looking forward to something that doesn't quite deliver what you'd hoped.

So after keep getting annoyed by my latest River Song figure I've decided to fix it. Hair came off very easy so I hollowed the hair piece (by removing the inner peg) and cut most of River's back of the head then glue the hair piece back and its so much better now. BTW, have anybody noticed that her eyebrows are actually sculptured on but for some reason they didn't painted them but drew those horrid round ones on top? Wonder why.

Combom reports that figures of Jamie and Jo are in the works, and that a Peg Soldier from Night Terrors has been leaked.
If we're getting the Peg Soldier, hopefully we'll get the girl dolls including Peg Amy, who were more prominent in the story. Unlike the Clockwork Woman we never got for The Girl In The Fireplace. (grumble grumble no Reinette either grumble)

Thats cool news about Jo & Jamie. I saw a pic of the Peg Soldier. He will look fantastic in the display! I won't be holding my breath for female versions. As CriagO mentioned above, we didn't see Clockwork women nor did we see female Autons.

But that is the LEAST interesting option! I wanted at least the landlord guy, he was featured so heavily in the season promos and WAS creepy. Or Amy.
However, does anyone still play with toys like this in the real world? As in, Peg Dolls? That's not even a term I've heard of in America.
I think my figures are on their way from ForbiddenPlanet - so ready!

Odd choice. Didn't the soldier only show up in the very end? I would have thought a female peg doll would have been a better choice, especially since a few repaints would have made easy variants, including an Amy peg doll.
Also, why is there a peg soldier but no Rory? By now Rory is deserving of at least two figures - standard and Roman Rory!

I guess you have to take into account that production of the figures begins months before they know whether the episode is THE WORST EPISODE (aside from the Gangers 2-parter) of the series.
Rory please, soon!

...But even so, how the HELL could they not have made the Lily Cole "siren" first? I mean even if the pirate episode had been bad (rather than really good) it would have been Lily-freaking-Cole.

Ha, talk about point of view! I would say that Night Terrors and the gangers 2-parter were the highlights of this year and the pirate episode was not so great! Very excited about Jamie, Jo and Yeti. Of course, this could all change at the last minute. I tend to be a little sceptical until I see a release schedule. What? No, of course I'm not making space on the shelf yet...

Now that's more like it,
Duplicates are always a fertile ground for emotional sci-fi. The (new) Outer Limits did it with an episode starring Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars' dad), and Doctor Who did it well too.
This is how every week should be! It is so unsettling not to know whether you'll be settling back to enjoy a great drama, or rolling your eyes at complete and utter dreck.
And I can hardly wait for the "Rory Pet" action figure. Want to bet we'll get the "Rory Pet" before the real Rory?

Yup, aside from LKH, this is shaping up to be an outstanding series. The Girl Who Waited was incredible.

After seeing Night Terrors I agree a female doll would be awesome, & is actually likely enough as they were pretty freaky looking.

I've got Raggedy Doctor, Amy in Police uniform, and 11th Doctor so far. I know I need something more to make this collection "pop", but I don't feel that the potato soldiers are iconic enough (though I dig them), and the Weeping Angels, while cool, I think of as being Tennant's adversaries, not Smith's.
I'm thinking a regular Amy, and then a pair of the HandBots if they make the HandBots. Not because they're especially iconic, but they're clearly futuristic robots so would make the set "work" even if one does not know the show. Rory of course if they ever make him.
Thought about Amelia, but way too expensive, even the regular edition. Don't like River enough to want her there. Daleks - no. Cybermen -- nah.
Anyway, just musing to myself.

Yes, totally understand the cybermen (any excuse) and the cybermats. At least there's some representation of Night Terrors, which is fine by me.
Perhaps the bearded Doctor is something of a spoiler.
The 10" Doctor is a bit of a retrograde step. Firstly, odd scale. Rather reminiscent of the 9" Star Trek Playmates range in execution. In this day and age, not a good thing. It's going to look terrible when, or if, the Big Chief Studios 12" is released.

That's a lot of headswaps and reuses in that wave -- the same Cyberman as a few times before (x2), and the bearded Doctor head formerly in the straight jacket now on a regular suit body. So basically one new figure - the wooden doll - and the Cybercats I guess sort of counts as a new figure (no it doesn't).
A money-saving wave for sure. My fear is that before the Fall 2012 return of the show, the line is going to end with no Rory.
