Wednesday, May 18, 2005 Send this to a Friend! New Factory X Buffy Replica Ships Relive the Heartbreak with the Sword of Angelus Prop Replica Factory X’s newest prop replica from Buffy the Vampire Slayer – The Sword of Angelus – has shipped, and will be available on the Factory X web store, this coming Tuesday, May 24th. In the second season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, a single moment of true happiness undoes Angel’s curse, depriving him of his soul and unleashing Angelus on Buffy and her friends. But Angelus’ ambitions extend far beyond torturing his former love; in fact, by awakening an ancient demon, Acathla, he means to end the world, and send every living creature into hell. As Buffy engages Angelus in an epic swordfight, Willow attempts a spell to restore the vampire’s soul. Willow’s spell is successful, and Angel is returned, but unfortunately Acathla has already begun to stir. Knowing that Angel’s blood is the only thing that can save the world, Buffy tells him to close his eyes, kisses him tenderly, and then drives the sword through his heart, closing the swirling vortex, and sending him into hell. Soon, you can hearken back to one of the most dramatic and heartbreaking moments in the show’s seven year run with this reproduction of the sword that Buffy used to send Angel to hell – the Sword of Angelus. Using the actual prop from the episodes (“Becoming, Part 2”) as inspiration, Factory X has created a stunning homage to the sword used on the show. Sure to be a must-have for sword collectors and Buffy enthusiasts alike, the Sword of Angelus is made from the highest quality materials – from the stainless steel blade to the gold plated hilt. I got a paypal bill yesterday from Time and Space Toys for the sword. Hopefully it will ship Thursday, because then it will arrive on Friday and I won't have to worry about waiting another week.
I can't wait to hang this sword on my wall.

I got a shipping notice today and the sword will arrive tomorrow. I"ll let everyone know how it is and what it looks like. I hope that I"ll eventually figure out how to use my digital camera so that I can post pictures of my enormous collection of Buffy and Angel.

So I got it today and it is amazing.
It's really heavy and really sharp on the sides, but doesn't have a pointed end. The handle is amazing, the money was well spent on this sword. The detail is truly amazing. I am going to hang it on my wall with the wall plaque that was with it, right in between a few of my Season 2 posters, as it seems right to put it there.
Hopefully someone gets thiers and posts pictures soon for everyone to enjoy because I still can't figure out my digital camera.

No, it isn't the real one. Its a custom that I got off e-bay a long while back. I just had to have it and I could'nt wait. ...and thanks. I'm hoping once me and my husband get out of the whole college thing that I can dedicate more space to my collection - for now alot has to be packed away.

Thanks! I can't wait to move so there is some color to display it behind. I can't paint where I live now and the grey just doesn't do it for me. But I do LOVE the sword. I think it was well worth going into debt for.

I think it seemed longer on the show because SMG is really short. It looks amazing though.

Thats a really nice thing to say about SMG. lol. I am still trying to convince my parents to let me get the Scythe for my birthday. The stake doesnt bother my parents but the sharpness of the zinc is bothering them seeing as I have already cut myself with a sharp obejct. But I do plan on getting this sometime in the future .

mine has FINALLY been brought into my country. so i'll collect it from the customs tomorrow. cant wait. n the worst thing to do after being broke is that i bought the stake as well. now i'll be in real debt. haha. but surely money well spent.

i got mine today!!!! its kinda heavier light material. overall, its BEAUTIFUL!!!! if only i can varnish the blade side and make it super shiny. its a very troublesome procedure of going to the customs to collect and then to the police side to get a license. shoot but sooooooo worth it.
anyone planning to get, don think twice. its worth going in debt for, haha

Mine arrived from FP today, and wow! They sword is really gorgeous, the work on the hilt is great. But, boy is it heavy! LOL. I really hope the scythe is done justice too.
Anyone have any ideas on how to keep the faux leather grip on the hilt stuck down? Mine was peeling slightly before I touched it.
