Urbandruid, the figures selling at the BCC are the same exclusives selling at Sideshow. You get all the same accessories. And when I got my Xander from the BCC, I got it before Sideshow shipped out theirs. I know this because I ordered an exclusive from Sideshow and a regular edition for my daughter from the BCC and I got the BCC one a couple of weeks before I got Sideshow's delivery. So you don't necessarily get them from Sideshow faster.
I also wanted to add that although I can see BillyBudd's perspective on this I am saving about $45 ordering Lorne, Cordy and Giles from the BCC instead of Sideshow. With Sideshow I'd be paying the extra cost per figure and a shipping charge for each figure which normally costs me more than $8 and has been as high as $10. With the BCC I used the free shipping coupon and have saved enough money for what I'd normally pay for one figure directly from Sideshow. And for some of us, money is an issue and every penny saved is a big deal.

Also, if they did wholesale out figures, those are shipped out/picked up from the docks as soon as they arrive. They do not need to be brought back to SS and THEN shipped out. That is whyth wholesalers sometimes have the figures first.

"Through a special arrangement from Sideshow, we are now able to bring you the following Sideshow 12" Figures (previously only available from Sideshow Direct). The best part is that these are the Sideshow Exclusive versions, with the same accessories, but at a 15% discount price!"

Oh hey, the "sideshow exclusives" are now for sale at alteregocomics.com as well. For $6 cheaper than sideshow offers. Wtf is this shit? I know many people definitely would not have ordered them from sideshow if they were to be sold EVERYWHERE else for cheaper. Stupid sideshow.

If I could wade into this discussion. Sideshow opened up Cordelia, Giles and Lorne to all retailers. They're not losing money on it since all retailers can now purchase it. Why are they doing this? Perhaps because a lot of retailers were upset that if these three had remained Sideshow exclusives, it would have meant that the vast majority of Buffy/Angel items released in 1 year would have been exclusives...in essence, Sideshow was going to shut out the retailers. A lot of retailers, ourselves included, supported this line by purchasing large quantities of the figures, including some of the more dubious looking ones (anybody wanna guess how many Doppelgangland Willows we have left???). I know that I was upset and I know that Canadian buyers were upset (uh...we have to pay HOW MUCH for shipping 1 figure to Canada???) I'm a collector myself so paying $50 to ship one figure prevented myself from ordering the figures from Sideshow. I'm glad they opened it up. Don't think that Sideshow doesn't make money when retailers order from them and that buying from retailers don't count in their books.
