Neither the DST figure nor the sideshow figures are great likenesses, but If I was forced to chose between them I'd say the Sideshow figure was a little better, but that's probably unfair as it's compairing a much larger sculpt to a tiny one. In the larger there's so much more room for deatailing, i.e. ASH's trademark 'crease' across his right temple. Thank god they still had the original set of computer scans for the sculptor to work from in creating the Spike dolls! I'm afraid without scans both sideshow and DST seem to have great difficulty in dealing with human likenesses. I see quite a lot of ASH in SS's figure, especially the little smirk. Overall I think this is a great figure.

i think he has a great likeness, however i think if the head was little thinner and a little longer, especially in the forehead, it would look a lot more like ASH Wayne

I've never bought another 12" figure, but I just preordered him. To be honest, I don't think he looks that much like ASH, but I love Giles and figured it would be fun to have him 'guarding' my bookshelves. Also, I ordered through the banner. Not the cheapest, I suppose (BCC would have been cheaper), but I wanted to support the site (even though I'm new).

Again, the pictures look nice but everyone really should look at the 360 turn-around video to get a real good look at him. He looks fantastic. Some people on the Sideshow Freaks board who went to comic con said he looks fantasic in person.
