That is a swell jacket. What's going on with Ken's hair, though? It looks pretty retro. Or is that the whole idea? Late 70's Ken? Nah. Unless Mattel has some rogue designer on board.

Is it my imagination or does the new Ken doll look kinda gay? I'd love to get a Ken to steal his jacket for Spike...where do we buy Barbie and Ken these days? Regular old Toys R Us or something? Guess since I buy action figures all the time now I should know the answer to that question, but I usually get all mine online...Now that I think about it, I guess all kinds of Barbie clothing could be used on Sideshow stuff...same size, right? Hmmmmm....imagine the possibilities ;D

barbie is about 11.5 inches i think, so some of the clothes can be a tight fit. although i have used barbie boots on my custom 12" Welcome to the Hellmouth Buffy and they looked ok and fitted fine once i removed her original feet lol wayne

Well, that's kind of what I was thinking, but 70's gay. He needs a major makeover from the Queer Eye guys.
But really, where do you buy Ken dolls? My Spike wants that jacket in the worst way. Or actually, I do. Spike could not care less.

I think the news story I read on this said he'd be at stores around March 1st. My daughter works at a Wal-mart and I told her to keep an eye out for him.

I find this really hard to believe, but I am actually going to Wal-Mart the week of March 1 to look for that Ken doll.
Thank you FireFlyFanatic.
I guess.
Sheesh.
So do I have to make Spike wrestle Ken for the jacket if I get him? I hope not. I want them to do a civilized trade. I suppose I'll have to promise Ken a nice wool suit, and Spike a handknit black alpaca turtleneck.
Double sheesh.

Well, seeing as Spike was still evil back in the '70s when he must have acquired this coat, I'm just going to have him attack and kill Ken as Ken sneaks out of the gay bar he was just in hoping Barbie doesn't see him. And yes, I too will be checking out Wal-mart at that time to see if they will have this! This is too good an opportunity to pass up!

Forgot to mention, DanMan, we could do a whole sub-section on grammar, except nobody would read it but you and... oh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo - the thing that drives me the craziest has snuck up and ambushed me. The correct use of I vs. me. This is mortifying. I think it's "I" as I would read it but me would not.
Anyone know about how much this Ken is going to cost?

I'm up for a grammar section. We could learn these peoples somethin' fierce.

Great find on the jacket!
Poor Barbie, sitting alone in the Dream House, while Ken's out knockin' boots with the GI Joes down the street...
If this grammar section got the go-ahead, would we be able to nominate members for a grammar lesson?
Because I can certainly think of a couple that could use it.

I didn't realize when I posted this that this was an exclusive "one time" Ken doll so it isn't available to the general public.

Do you know the name of this one? It's a bit like the Harley Ken. I've had poor old Spike in lots of Ken outfits, including Agent Mulder's FBI suit. My favourite thing is the military boots I found with metal heel taps and real laces--got those at a GIJoe show.

My Subway Spike is wearing a "leather" jacket borrowed from a Barbie My Scene "Hanging Out" River, which I found for a whole $7 a few months ago. The zipper's clunky and completely non-functional (it's just for looks, since not only is there no zipper pull, there's no opposite half of a zipper on the other side!), but it fits perfectly, and the box also includes a guitar for Oz. The box says: Mattel B6696 UPC 0 27084 05015 8 The jacket was attatched to the background in the upper right corner of the box.
