This looks like Eliza Dushku..........in her eighties. It's horrible. That's not Faith, Eliza Dushku or even a woman. It looks vaguely like Giles in drag, who seems to be lost in Middle Earth. It's a really bad sculpt in Han Solo clothes. You can't put that out and call it Faith. This one is not a keeper, especially at $40. I'll wait for the MAC Statue.

Wow! The more I look at it the worst it gets.
That body is also bad. I know it's a stock sideshow body that they use for all the figures but they're usually covered with more clothing or a big jacket to hide that fact. The body is too small for the head.
Faith is sexy, pouting, tough and hot. The eyes are wrong the mouth is wrong and the lips are awful, not Eliza's gorgeous lips.
Can she sue over this? LOL

OK, so the new Faith figure isn't perfect. Who cares? Sideshow didn't have to make these figures, we could still just have 3 Gents and Buffy. So I think we should just be glad that we have a 12 inch Faith and get over that it isn't exactly how she looks. Plus, people have worked very hard to get these figures made, and so probably "that figure sucks" isn't going to make them want to make more. I like the figure, all of them. So, that's what I think. ... Yes, I know I sound like a complete dork ...

No You don;t sound like a dork, you're a fan and that's cool.
I'm a fan of the show first and foremost, it's the best. But that dosen't mean every product that spins off from it is great. Some down right suck, Buffy bed sheets???
This faith figure sucks, you can't always hit it out of the ballpark and sideshow failed in this case.
the other figures are cool, even the rehashed buffy head, but faith does not look good.

Yes, Sideshow has failed us and therefore we shall type bitchy fan posts before we pretend to decapitate them with online text emphasis....
*DECAPITATE*...*KILL*....*BURN*
Are we okay now?

When I first looked at the picture of the 12" Faith, I was in 'FULL' agreement with everyone who thought it was a bad likeness, but then when I looked at it again, (with the larger pop-up version of the picture on the screen), the smallest version of the photo suddenly caught my eye, and I said to myself, "Hey, now that one looks like Faith."
I think they could possibly quirk the mouth so it has more of a trademark Faith grin (smirk), but I think alot of the problem in the picture is the lighting. The shadowing is making the figure look much older. I'd really like to see this figure at a different angle, but I don't think it's as bad as everyones first impression has been.
Just my humble opinion.

Ok... I could understand it looking like a constipated drag-giles if it was made in the time the 6" Season 1 Buffy figs were made. But its not. They could have easily used computer technology. And Eliza would have been willing to do a scan for them..
THey're stupid because Faith was the most wanted out of all the 12" figures..
It was like when Mac made Drusilla. She was the character that everybody wanted, but obviously mac wanted to make her look cra... cruddy.

Yes, I agree that this is disapointing likeness, but without the help of computer technology portraits are very hard to do, particularly of attractive females such as Faith/Buffy, as (in my humble opinion) there is not enough facial 'personality' to get hold of in the sculpting, such as for example an obviously pronounced chin or wrinkles ect. Yes there are people out there who can do very good likenesses without resorting to the scanner, but they are a rare breed judging from the figures I've ever bought. Thats the reason why I called in my friend who works for Madame Tussards in London to sculpt the head on my Spike figure for me. I'm a reasonable modeler, but a good portrait sculptor I'm definatly not! And so I really do appreciate what a hard job that is. As others have said I'd also like to see other photos of this doll before I put it on my ''don't waste money on it' list.

there is not enough facial 'personality' to get hold of in the sculpting, such as for example an obviously pronounced chin or wrinkles ect. Yeah it looks like you're right. But why must all the figures look like they gotta poop? (And Faith is pooping in the woods!) Why not have an open mouth screaming crazy looking Faith? Why does everyone always have these boring neutral looks on their faces. I think some dramatic facial pose would be much better than a figure that looks nothing like the actress. What's the point in releasing something that, unless we're told via packaging, we would never guess is supposed to be the character? Urgh!

She doesn't look like Faith at all...they did an awesome job on the ohter three, but they lagged on this one. I know that there wasn't a scan, but they should've taken more time to make it look like the character.

Could we possibly restate the same point more times? Okay, so Faith doesn't look fabulous to you. Why don't you go along and make it into Melissa Ethridge or something before the world falls off it's axis. Would that make everyone happy?

www.geocities.com/godnamedglory/Faith.html?1073858177530 - Faith image (it didn't work when I tried to post it directly here ) Tadaaaaa! A digitally remastered Faith. All I did was do some Photoshop nip/tuck with the pounds off flesh hanging and I made her eyes bigger. I also positioned her eyebrows and got rid of wrinkles with blur. See! She's not unrepairable.

hmmm, I don't really see anything too dramatic, but it looks a little better. I personally think the figure will still need a bitchy smirk.
