Ummmmm..... I think you're reading it wrong. No one has been complaining about the figure. JP said he thought the hair was a little "too big or too thick" but that's it. In fact, people have been complimenting this figure. Prozac? ok read it wrong hehe, I was reading the replies while someone on AIM was complaining about the Willows and I got the 2 mixed.

Oh my friggen god! That is the most adorable figure. MAC, I'm sorry for bitching about it and saying it looked like Mary Jane. (I'm also sorry to Aly, I don't think she wants to look like Kirsten Dunst)

By the way, have you noticed the cool background behind the new Willow figure (on Diamond’s site)…I wonder if it’s the new background Fox were talking about, the one that should replace the dark blue/purple background we had so far (on the cards and boxes).

I thought i read somewhere that they were gonna keep the same cards. But maybe im wrong.

Nope i read it, but i guess it doesnt say they are staying the purple blue thing.
Q: What role is Diamond Select Toys playing concerning the Buffy line?
A:
DST will assist in the manufacturing, packaging, marketing and distribution of these figures. All of the sculpts were already done by MAC, and DST will not be making any changes to them. The packaging will retain the same line look that MAC has already established.

I really hope that the background is the new template for the blister card. That looks REALLY good! -CMK

Hey all! I'm new to this board, actually to the whole MB thing altogether. I've been reading from this board for a little while now and I just wanted to say that I cannot wait for the Willows to come out! I have only been collecting for about a year now and I think that the new Willows will make a great addition to the collection! After the cancellation announcements I was very disappointed especially since the official one was announced on my birthday! Anyway, I can't wait to see all the new figures arrive on my doorstep!

I don't know what all that arguiing up there is about...reading through this post, practically half the posts don't make linear sense! Anyway, there were a good number of people complaining about Will after the first painted pics got out. I think we can all pretty much agree that the paint scheme looks really nice inthese pics and we can't wait.

I really hope they keep the same cards. It's nice to see something new on the shelf or whatever, but when you add it to the collection, it's nice to have some continuity! Although they could maybe brighten up the backgrounds a little. Eveything blends in too much being the same shade and all.

Maybe MAC changed their minds about the new cards…too bad, though, this background looks awesome.

I like Willow and all, but something to me seems a bit off with the figure. I absolutly love Dark Willow and Vamp Willow though.

That background DST used looks awesome... I for one would like to see a change. Especially since the upcoming(? lol) figures will be the first ones to come in a while, and the other packaging is kind of "old." Something old, something blue; something new, something honeydew.

In any case, this Q&A is much later than the one I remembered (about changing the cards) so I guess it’s the final decision up to date. Oh well…no biggie…maybe MAC can use this new background for other stuff like ornaments or busts and statues.

I wouldn't mind a new color on the packaging. It would definitely be more eyecatching in the store for sure. Of course, I debox almost all of my figs so to me the packaging color change would not mess with a MOC color scheme or anything.

Here's my opinion on packaging:
In series 1, the card was more of a bluish color. Towards series 2 and on they got more purpley, I say keep the same pattern just maybe change the color.
