Why are there people who desperately want one? It's only a toy. Why would you want a semi naked toy? The fact is, there are straight male toy buyers who would rather have a cool action character in a cool action outfit. Thats why you dont see "Sun bathing Action Man! Comeplete with peck tanning action!" I'm not comepletely against a shirtless figure, but I'd much rather the male figures clothed as I know I will never see a scantily clad female character made. *cough* Bikini Cordelia! *cough* Ok, first off though, there are PLENTY of shirtless male figures, like wrestling ones, and hundreds of (I assume) straight men buy those with no problems Secondly, there are literally, HUNDREDS of scantily clad female figures in other lines, and I don't see a bunch of women and gay men complaining about that, whether they collect that line or not. It's really wrong to not have a shirtless male figure just because a few "straight" male buyers might feel insecure about looking "gay" if they add to their collections, because that's just plain macho bull. If you don't want to add shirtless Angel to your collection, then don't BUY it, just don't make noise about how you don't want a shirtless figure. Like Grave Spike, a shirtless Graduation Day Angel would be an extremely unique and episode-specific figure, that represents a crucial turning point for that character, whereas a clothed GD Angel would be just like everything we've seen before, only more boring Sorry to rant but, come on, if it is shirtless and we buy it, it might increase our chances of getting a "Belonging Bikini Cordy" or something similar

Nice try but it's diferent, Angel in graduation day isn't a fighter, he's sick in that episode. If you tell me that the figure is based in the episode when he needs to fight for darla's illness, i'll believe you but you are speaking for an Angel out of action. What's that got to do with anything?

So WHAT if he's not a fighter?
WHERE exactly, does it say that to be shirtless, you must also be a fighter?
Well?
My point was that men buy shirtless figures from other lines without problem, and why should that differ for the Buffy/Angel line?
So WHAT if he's sick and incapacitated? He was still able to bite Buffy and creat one of THE most memorable and awesome scenes in either show
And if you try and tell me that THAT doesn't merit shirtless arrow-wound Angel getting a figure, then I think you really are as stupid as you sound.
Have a nice day

Oh sure i sounds stupid, coz i can't agree with you, clap clap, i just said that shirtless isn't a good option since there isn't a figure for everybody. No, you sound stupid because nothing you say makes any kind of logical or rational sense, and in posting what you just did, you completely validated my point. Also, no, you DIDN'T say it was because there wasn't a figure for everyone (wtf?), you said it was because there's no difference between a shirtless man and one in a vest, which is, frankly, idiotic I have to agree with what Xanderphile said in another thread "P.S. Stop posting crap"

i just try to say that vest and shirtless are the same, so as a girl i can be happy with tanktop Angel more than shirtless since shirtless isn't a figure for everybody and probably Diamond avoid the idea for that reason. is that so hard to understand. So Vested and Shirtless are the same, but you'd be happier with a Tanktop Angel and furthermore DST are avoiding a Shirtless variant. Obviously, this is because they are the same.

WOW! It all makes sense now!
I'm sorry I ever doubted you TheRing, you're clearly a genius in a very convincing disguise

Anyways back to the topic, lol.
I wonder if 'The Ring' Angel will be in Vampire form? I remember reading that somebody here wanted 2 vamped out versions.

It's more logical that shirtless Angel is vampire, since he drank the blood of Buffy in that episode. But that is my personal opinion, get it.

I think either would be pretty cool, since, depending on what mood I'm in, I can switch the heads around to whichever body.
That said, I think we might only get one vamped Angel, since the others would need to look like David to appeal more to casual buyers
But that is just my opinion, just so you know

Thats what I was thinking. Plus if we get 'The Beast' Angel then thats 1 less figure with a resemblence to David. DST might break the mould and give us 2 heads, a blood dripping one wouldn't go a miss But thats dangerous talk...

Actually that's a great idea, multiple heads would definitely make me want to buy them...well, more than I already want them now.
It would definitely work for "Beast" Angel, and you could work it to Ring and GD Angel too, in fact, to ANY of the Angels.
Except it might make things kinda pricey...ah well, I'd pay more

Wrestling figures are a comepletely different market here. These guys are scantily clad all the time. This shirtless Angel is a varient of a guy who wore clothes alot more than not, and IMO there are better clothed varient possibilities out there. I said about the lack of underwear clad female characters cos I think I recall DST saying something about it (OMWF "I'll never tell" Anya is too revealing or something) I dont really want any to be honest. I have no interest in a semi naked Cordelia figure, although I'd buy it if it was released. Somehow, it actually feels tackier than the shirtless men figures to me... As for the homophobic comment, if you knew me you wouldn't be saying that. I have no problem with the figure being shirtless, theres just other varients that I would've prefered over it. I will be buying this if it is shirtless. Lastly, I wanna say this isn't intended to be an argumentative post, just stating my opinion. If you don't agree then fine, but respect that its my opinion as I will with yours. I will say this though. I dont want a shirtless varient of every male character. Please DST. I dont want a shirtless Snyder in 2009. lol

Hey, I agree that I don't personally want a topless Angel, but I can understand that other fans will. But I REALLY think everyone is probably best dropping that topic. So swiftly moving on, I think Fred doesn't have enough variants left, for them to do a Pylean Fred for a boxset. But I think they will make one exclusively for the boxset (they said there would be a new figure in the next boxset)

I certainly didn't mean to cause offence I also get your point about the wrestlers being in a different market, I guess I was just looking to make a comparison and came up with something completely wrong lol I also agree on the bikini Cordy front, to me, it would feel overtly tacky, but then I guess there are people out there who would want one so...eh *shrugs* I happily and wholeheartedly respect you opinion, and I'm glad to be in a place where you can argue your own opinion without too many repercussions (which is what sets this board apart from several others) Hope that makes sense ..also, shirtless Snyder? ...*shudders* Oh the horror

Champ.ofHottness-I am with you on a shirtless Angel
Moe, if we get a shirtless Angel why dont you and I get a group together and convince DST to give us a bikini Cordy & Doyle?
I dont think being straight or gay has much to do with whether we want a shirtless fig. I am straight but I would buy a bikini Cordy
