A petition 2 get Crush Dru as TST's next exclusive

Hey everyone.
I've spoken to Kevin at Time and Space Toys and he has already inquired into getting the cancelled deluxe "Crush" Drusilla figure as their next exclusive and Diamond Select Toys has said that they need a 3,000 piece run now. Well i've started a petition to see how many people would purchase this figure at regular price ($15-$20.00) as Kevin said that Diamond won't let him take pre-sells to see how many people would be interested in buying it. Well that doesn't mean that we can't start a petition to see how many people would buy one. With enough signatures to present to Kevin he can see how many people would support this next exclusive. This figure would give us the deluxe skirted body making future skirted females very possible and adding to the deluxe parts library as well as giving us a new Deluxe character and a new headsculpt for customizers. Come on people this is our chance as a community to get our line back and show DST that we're not ready to give up, and get a really cool new character from DST. Sign away!

I would love it if they produced this figure! Maybe they could get Juliet to sign some of them as well. I would buy at least 3 of her and I might consider an entire case.

What other places have you posted this...would they allow this page or the Ipetition itself to be linked over at Whedonesque?

Do you think TST would put a link on their web site to the petition?

Not to poop on the parade but as one who really does not care that much for Drusilla character I'd much rather spend $20 on TL Willow or another deluxe Buffy variant. :-[

I agree that I would be more interested in TL Willow but I would be excited to get this figure for my collection...and for the parts. I think I would be making a custom TL Willow first, then a I Will Remember You and Becoming Buffy! That V neck torso and the long skirt open up a lot of possibilities for figure variants.

I sort of agree with Lior about I am not a huge Dru fan but this would get us closer to tough love Willow with these new parts I am willing to buy at least 2 just to get a step closer to that Willow getting made! come on folks! I read so many people upset this is maybe the last shot we get to push them into doing these new Deluxe figures!! we got to try anything at this point!

That's the the thing - its a cool release for parts but popularity wise Willow and Buffy have a much stronger chance to sell outside of our community as well (casual buyers)...because I don't think Dru is popular enough to sell 3000 units for $20 each (which is even more common than Chosen Giles and Faith) when the toy market is pretty much goes for $10-$15 for 6"-7" figures (i.e. Heroes).

Hey i'll ask TST if they want to put a link on their website. Great idea. I don't go to whedonesque so could you look into that for me? Oh and to answer your question i've posted at both buffy forums (asked cowboyguy to link it on the news sections of the front pages) and i've posted it at trektoy in their buffy thread and that's as far as i've got lol. Steven

Well I'm not a collector so I look at it from a different point of view. I love the character of Drusilla, so it would be great to have different Drusilla heads to use for customs (besides the hard to get MAC versions). On the other hand, I really think that Tough Love Willow would sell so much better since she is a very popular character (and the outfit is from a popular episode). I think we have a better chance at getting that Willow than Drusilla.

There are so many figures that I'd like to see DST make yet, so I hope this gets the ball rolling.

I still just think that Tough Love Willow would be a better choice for doing something like this.

While I agree that a TL Willow would sell more, we have been talking about that figure for so long and no one seems to listen when we say it's wanted. For whatever reason the powers that be don't want it released.

The Crush Dru figure on the other hand is the last figure we know that was closest to being released .... maybe TST/DST/Juleit could work something out together.
Dru is not as big a seller as a character, but Juliet is a convention favorite and does them regularly. TST could not only release a normal version, but they could get together with Juliet to do a sign version at conventions she/they do as a sort of limited signed con exclusive.

While I was not willing to pay $125 for a signed figure that I wouldn't want to open ... even though I would want to open it, I would pay more for a signed figure IF I could also get some unsigned ones to use for customs, to display, etc.

Maybe they could work something out that she signs a designated amount and TSTs gives her the extra money made from the signed ones and she can help produce the figures...or something.

sure, what the hell. not my top choice for an unproduced figure but maybe the added support of Juliet Landau can make something work. Although I'm not sure she'll support it if shes not making $100++ off of each one. I guess we'll see.

Well this is plugging along, if we assume there will be 12 in a case and the people who said they would buy a case do then the 16 signatures represent 56 figures...not bad for half a day.

I kind of think we should start a petition for TL Willow and see how that does ;)

This is a great idea. I had ordered one from Juliet Landau for $125. And was sad, but not surprised that it was cancelled. I just signed this petition, but... wow, guys, really? Only 23 people have signed.

That's only 2,977 to go.

No problem. Though these things take time so do expect to get 3000 signatures in few days. It could take several weeks at best.

Dru is an okay character, so in that respect I have no issue spending $20 on a Dru. However, I don't feel the need to make many Dru customs, so I can't see myself buying more than 3 figures initially. However, if it were TL Willow being made, I'd easily buy 5 right off the bat. At this point it seems TL Will won't happen (not quite sure why though), but if Dru does get produced there's at least a chance for Will. I'll sign the petition now.

I signed the petition. 1 more figure is better than none. Plus it won't hurt to add one more Dru figure to my collection. It would be nice if this allowed us to at least get the figures that were already supposed to come out.

I signed because i like the moore human dru figure but she is to orange for a vampire so it will be nice to have a human dru figure.
