1. Does DST still have the 6" figure License for SERENITY/FIREFLY?

DSTChuck: We still do have the license though we have nothing planned at this time.

2. How has the closing of Tower and Suncoast affected the future of the line??

DSTChuck: Anytime a retail store closes some of those customers go other places for products but a majority use it as an opportunity to stop collecting or gong elsewhere is prohibitive – so we’ll its not good. Suncoast is still around and still carrying DST products, though.

3. I have heard reports that the new Christopher Golden Dark Congress novel will be cross promoted in upcoming figure releases? True/False....expand please?

DSTChuck: DST has nothing to do with that novel.

4. Will DST be taking up any ad space in the new dark horse buffy comics?

DSTChuck: I think Marketing is discussing it.

5. Could you please explain what the figures are that are shown at shows and conventions? As in: are they hand-painted, what are they made of, are they ever production pieces, etc.?

DSTChuck: That depends, we show hand painted prototypes to start and as we move along in the production process we replace those with later generations.

6. Did the Library sell well enough to warrant new playsets??

DSTChuck: Honestly – no, but not sure it COULD have sold enough – those things are awfully expensive and we just wanted to do one for the fans. If it had sold great all the better and we’d try another one.

7. Do you have the Buffy license for Minimates? If so, when will we see your plans for the line?

DSTChuck: We’ve discussed Buffy MM but nothing is planned right now.

8. Do you guys still have in your possession the old MAC sculpted Wesley, with his little cabinet base and accessories? Can I have it?

DSTChuck: The factory in Asia has it, it had to be sent there as part of the process of making a production ready cabinet for mass production.

9. Offering the "Chosen" Buffy T1 as an extra for spending money in your online store is an excellent thing, do you plan on doing this with other T1s as many fans are fond of the T1s?

DSTChuck: I think the Buffy is the second time we’ve done something like that – if it does well and the timing is right, I don’t see why not.

10. Are there any more Box Sets or 2 packs planned that you would like to announce soon?

DSTChuck: We’re tossing some ideas around but nothing is locked in just yet.

11. Have you given any more thought to Puppet Angel in the 6" scale line, like say a 3 pack of all 3 versions of the Puppet?

DSTChuck: We’ve definitely toyed with the idea.

12. Any plans on making a Turok Han figure as an added bonus to the fans?

DSTChuck: He’s been discussed from time to time as a figure but not sure what a bonus to fans means.

13. Will you make any figures, statues, statuettes, etc of Darla and Angelus in historical attire?

DSTChuck: We’ve thought about a statuette from time to time but nothing is on the list at this time.

14. What will happen with "Enemies" Faith and "Sanctuary" Faith?

DSTChuck: Honestly I don’t know, we’ll see what we can do.

15. Will "Grave" Giles still be released?

DSTChuck: See above.

16. How about "Surprise" Dru and "Wild at Heart" Oz?

DSTChuck: See above.

17. Could you explain us how did Chosen Faith end up looking so bad when the prototype looked so amazing?

DSTChuck: She was not handled with as much love at the factory in China as we all would have liked.

18. Why can't DST just send out ALL the different Deluxe Willows with Kendra and Kennedy in ONE case? Same thing for any other figure lines. Why bother with exclusive holders anymore?

DSTChuck: It’s a simple case of math if we put 6 figures in a case and they are all different we’d have to sell LOTS more cases then we would with three of each character in a case. We’d like nothing more then to have more new figures in a case but most of DST licenses are niche so we don’t have sales at a level that would support such cases.

19. Will the regular line not be continued after The Judge Waves?

DSTChuck: IF by that you mean what the fans call MAC style – then I will say there are no more waves of that style of figure planned at this time.

20. Will The Judge figure be 6" along with the rest of the line?
DSTChuck: YES

21. If the 'build-a-figure' incentive works and increases sales, does DST have plans for other characters that can be produced in this format?

DSTChuck: Since the first time we went out with the Judge sales were not so great we don’t expect so much of a change that we’ll do it again plus as stated above this is the last wave of figures planned it that style. However if sales are CRAZY then you never say never…

22. What's up with the Darkest Magik Book, and the Urn? Some of us are really anticipating the release of those props!

DSTChuck: The books are currently off the release schedule.

23. Are there any more Buffy busts that will be announced soon?

DSTChuck: Currently no bust after the Willows are in production.

24. Whatever happened to the Buffy bookends?

DSTChuck: They were dropped from our release schedule due to poor response from retailers.

25. Will you continue making the ornaments? And if so when will the next release be?

DSTChuck: We have not decided on 07 yet …

26. Will you make Joyce, Glory, Dawn, Wood, Kendra, and Kennedy as ornaments eventually?

DSTChuck: See above.

27. Who are the teams behind the 'Revamped' figures and the 'Essence' statues?

DSTChuck: Matt Peck, DSTChuck, Kim Mattison and the rest of DST as well as the team over at Gentle Giant. The Essence statues were sculpted by Jean St. Jean Studios.

28. How much will the statues cost?

DSTChuck: They will carry an SRP of $125.00

29. Will there be more statues? Like a new character every 2 months?

DSTChuck: We currently have four sculpted and approved – if they do well we’ll do more.

30. Will all of the statues have a light up feature, as some don't look as though they have that feature?

DSTChuck: Yes they will all have a light up feature.

31. If the 'Essence' statues sell well... would DST think about releasing diorama-style statues of key scenes (i.e. Buffy & Dawn in The Gift, or Buffy & The Master from Prophecy Girl)?

DSTChuck: The essence line will not contain key scenes, they will continue to try and show the core of that character and what made them cool in one scene. Any similarity to a actual scene is more a part of that process then it is replicating a moment in the shows history.

32. How will the light-up effect work with the "Essence Of" statues? Batteries or something else?

DSTChuck: Yup batteries.

33. Can you please explain what the Revamped Figures are?

DSTChuck: Not really, but in short they are a re-start for the line and a way for DST to show what we can really do and how we would do the line if it started fresh. They are also an attempt to do something that has never been done before and hopefully do it well and have fans respond.

34. Are the Revamped figures a new line of Buffy/Angel figures or will the take over the existing line of "regular" figures?

DSTChuck: They are a new fresh stand alone line and the MAC style waves will cease to exist. Angel’s vampire head will be included with the standard Angel figure.

35. How many character will there be in the revamp line and will they get variant?

DSTChuck: There are no exclusives planned fro the revamped line.

36. Do you plan on just switching completely over to this Revamped Style and the Deluxe Style of figures?

DSTChuck: As long as sales are there we plan to continue to release on wave of dlx figures every summer.

37. Will the upcoming 'Revamped' figures be packaged as box-sets or clamshell?

DSTChuck: Not 100% sure right now but if I had to pick I’d say some sort of box set – maybe like the Kirk in chair we did.

38. What is the scale of the revamped line, will it be compatible with existing figures?

DSTChuck: They are not 100% compatible with the MAC line, but close enough not to grossly out-of-scale.

39. Does DST know if the Xander and Cordelia wave will eventually make its way to Australia for release? Previous waves have been delayed for some time before release down under, but the Xander and Cordelia wave were released quite some time ago in the US and UK and all we've seen is "Pylean Princess Cordelia".

DSTChuck: Sorry no Australian distributor picked up that wave!

40. If DST doesn't know the status of the Xander and Cordelia release in Australia, can DST provide some guidance as to whom consumers should contact to determine whether these figures will be released down under?

DSTChuck: I think several US internet retailers are set up to ship overseas, I know Cinequest is…I think AFX is as well or Time and Space.
