Like the Serenity River statue, will you ever consider producing statues based on Buffy/Angel characters who may not sell so well in figure form?

*** We’ve done some Buffy statuettes in the past so that door is always open, but there are not plans right now for something like that.

Similarly, if the River statue sells well, would it be possible to use the sculpt and turn it into an action figure, maybe as a convention exclusive or something?

*** No we have no plans to do something like that BUT it it sells well we can do more statuettes.

Like the wall bases, will you ever consider making 'corner' piece bases, so that all bases could be assembled into a room of sorts?

*** We've discussed it but that's about all we've done.

Will we see busts or statues based on Angel characters for 2007?

*** Statues YES but bust...probably not.

Will we see accessory packs based on Angel for 2007

*** Sorry no plans for something like that.

Who has the exclusives for Faith and Giles?

*** So far just Previews, none of the others have been sold yet.

Any news on initiative Xander?

*** I can give you GREAT news - he's in production and soon you will see where he will be on sale.

Will the Willow/Kennedy/Kendra Deluxe line have the ball jointed necks like the recent figures, or will it have the same swivel and turn neck joint the previous Buffy/Faith Deluxe figure had?

*** It will have swivel and turn.

I've heard lots of different stories but I'm not entirely sure so, will "Chosen" Willow and Kennedy be in a 2-pack? If so, which Willow will it be? Red hair or white hair?

*** NO its not a two pack. One is going to be the shortpack in the cases.

With the upcoming Season 8 of Buffy in comic form, will DST make figures, busts or resin pieces of Buffy characters from the comic?

*** We don't really have rights toanything created in the comic, but if a character gets used or has a big storyline maybe there is something we could do.

In your opinion why did the Buffy line fail under MAC’s control, But seems to be thriving under DST’s control?

*** That's not really something we would comment on. The crew at MAC did some fantastic work and we've just very lucky they chose to pass the torch to us and VERY happy for all the support the fans have given us.

When are the Giles/Faith line actually due for release?

*** Should be in stores this month.

How are the bookends coming along?

*** The bookends are still in for approval.

When will the next line be announced? When Giles/Faith are in stores?

*** Should be just around that time YES.

When is the official release date for the Accessory Packs?

*** Should be in stores this month as well.

How many figures will have a piece of The Judge? Who will have what piece?

*** We're still working on that.

Will Wood (and the Watcher's boxset) have full ties or short, once and for all?

*** Full sized tie.

Will Surprise Drusilla have her full scarf, or just the neck cover?

*** Neckcover.

Will Doppelgangland Oz have his hair changed to black to be episode accurate rather than the ginger he has at the moment?

*** We make every effort to make our figures as accurate as possible. The Doppelgangland Oz head was not ready at the time, so the Fear Itself Oz head was used for photography.

When will we see the new Spike Statue?

*** VERY SOON!

Any news on Faith's Jackal Knife, pricewise and estimated release date?

*** We're still negotiating with the original designer.

Does DST plan to pick up the mini-figure/block figure license from Palisades and make MiniMates of the Buffy/Angel characters? If so, any time frame on when these might be released?

*** We've got lots of Minimates on the horizon - if we ever did do clock figures they would be Minimates size and design, not Palisades.

I really hope the Angel statue is cool enough to justify the price tag I am guessing will be on it. But if they said no "statuettes" would be made from Buffy (though not Angel) I am guessing it will be the new statue format (like Spike).

It's very cool that we are getting Initiative Xander!!!!! It's also good to hear that we'll get news of the next line sometime around the release of the Faith/Giles line. I hope everything works out with the Faith/Giles exclusives...I have "faith" that we will see them soon. DST is awesome!!!!

Good Ask DST. Lots of Good News here. I'm looking forward to Giles/Faith and the Accessory Packs.

1) Does DST still have the 6" figure License for SERENITY/FIREFLY?
2) Did the Library sell well enough to warrant new playsets??
3) How has the closing of Tower and Suncoast affected the future of the line??

I think it's cool that Initiative Xander is being done, but honestly, I could live without him. I'd much rather some of the exclusives for the Faith/Giles line be picked up by someone. If they can't find anyone to carry the Faith/Giles exclusives, then it's more then likely the Oz/Dru wave will have the same problem, and so on.

Doesn't look to good for the line.....

I tend to agree. Reading that by now no company has picked up the exclusives really worries me. The line was supposed to be released last month. Now half if it would be released this month and the rest only god knows when. This might create a delay in future lines as well.

Even if DST would pick up an exclusive like they did with Primeval Buffy I seriously doubt they would pick all of the exclusives. And whether Dru and Oz wave might have the same problem with their exclusives. :-/

It was very hard to continue reading after they said they wouldn't do a River figure. They so totally owe us one! Imagine a Deluxe-like River with a plastic rubber skirt, axes, a gun, her biker boots...dammit, we need that figure.

If TS&T quit doing Buffy/Angel exclusives then I am done with them. Over the past couple years I have spent the majority of my toy collecting money with them soley because they continued to support the line by doing exclusives. I have endured enough crappy customer service and their prices aren't that much cheaper than other online stores (who also have GREAT customer service like Cinequest).

If they continue to do exclusives then I will continue to spend money with them --- but I really wish they would clean up their act.

Cinequest ditched the exclusives LONG ago. And their prices and deals suck compared to T&ST. They charge like $60 for a chase. At the BCC you can get the chase free by getting a $100 gift card. Or you could buy THE WHOLE SET of figures for cheaper than Cinequest charges for once jacked up $60 chase.

I wont be happy if T&ST doesnt have an exclusive but to be honest the figures werent really exclusives anyway. BCC will get them all anyway. I hope they just do away with the "exclusive" crap and sell them to everyone. Since everyone pretty much gets them all anyway. Its beyond pointless to have an exclusive because you can get them all at all the online shops or wait a month and most of them show up at every comic shop.

I'm really not surprised by DST's comment about the exclusive holders. Sure I'm sad, but I was expecting that answer. It's not like BuffyBot or Vamp Xander have sold well for TST in the past. Same goes for YW Cordy and Cheer Buffy at AFX. The past holders like Suncoast, Tower, Toyfare, Cinequest, etc, haven't picked up exclusives for the past 3 lines. And the only other holder is Bills Brick's which I assume had bad business selling their ICM Xanders. I hope DST resolves something fast. However I don't see why TST isn't jumping on Sanctuary Faith. Almost everyone wants her!

Although Tower is gone, their are still quite a few Suncoasts open. FYE kept a few (one right near me) to leave under the Suncoast name. All the one's I've been to picked up the Xander/Cordy line, and the one closest to me is down to nothing but a Chosen Xander

It surprises me that Initiative Xander is being made after all when the variants from Faith & Giles still haven't been picked up! The pack out for the Judge pieces still isn't finalized it seems... I believe they announced 6 pieces, but if no one is there to pick up the variants, I wonder if he could be in as few as 3 pieces...

I guess we saw this coming as several companies have slowly stopped getting variants, and then the whole Tower/Musicland bankruptcies... It looks like the days of tons of variants may be over.

Question for the next Ask: With fewer exclusive holders, has DST considered doing a case with several variants of the main two characters? It seems like packing in more variety would lead to higher case sales, thus offsetting the loss of the exclusive deals. The concept of exclusives for DST was initially just to have other retailers pay for production right? Are we at a point where DST can simply produce a whole line within its own budget and sell it through the usual Diamond channels?

It's good news to hear that Iniative Xander is going to be produced finally. I really wanted that variant.

As for not having the exclusive holders all of the remaining Giles and Faith figures, at least they are still working on getting exclusive holders because I want all of the variants. With so few variants for the Dru/Oz/Wood line, I think that they will have less of a problem getting exclusive holders. Although it is a shame that we are actually getting less figures with each wave. Going from a 5/3 sometimes 5/4 ratio to a 4/4 ratio and now a 3/3/1 ratio. It just seems as though the exclusives should be easy to obtain. With both Drus being including in the main line, Vamp Drusilla shouldn't be a problem getting an exclusive holder because Vampire figures sell well and Wood being part of the main line, that only leaves 2 Oz figures to get holders. With the Faith/Giles line there are only 4 figures total to get exclusive holders. Hopefully Previews will pick up 1 Faith and 1 Giles leaving 2 figures in need of holders. I would love to see Bills Bricks get an exclusive and Diamond to also pick up an exclusive just so that they will come out much faster.

It's a shame for no Angel busts, I'm glad that they are producing Angel statues. I just hope that they are not that expensive. I'd love to see statues of the main cast during "Not Fade Away" that you can actually connect the bases to. I would also love to see a statue of "You're Welcome" Cordelia that resembles her a lot more.

It's good to hear that they are going to be announcing the next line after Giles/Faith hit stores seeing as it wont be long now before they come out. I'd love to see a Gunn/Harmony/Lindsey with a Beast assemble figure line or a Riley/Andrew/Jonathan line with a Adam assemble figure. What I'd really want is a Gunn/Fred/Lindsey line with a build a Beast figure. Although they have stated that they didn't want to produce another Fred figure right away, I'm sure that if the figures looked amazing and were our choices of variants that there would be a lot of fans that would buy her this time.

Bill's Bricks told me that they will not be an exclusive holder from the Giles/Faith line, but that they are leaving that option open for future lines. So they are out for them...unless we all start emailing them...maybe they will change their mind. I would think that Sanctuary Faith would be a hot variant since she is from the Angel line and would be the only Faith for the Angel line (not including the MAC version of course).

I would think that Time and Space Toys would have chosen an exclusive from both the Giles/Faith line and the Dru/Oz/Wood line but it seems as though they dont have one yet. It's kind of odd considering that they have had exclusives with just about every line previous. I'm thinking that they would chose "Band Candy" Giles and Vampire Drusilla. I'm thinking that Previews will choose "Sanctuary" Faith and Shirtless Oz. I guess we will have to wait and see. I'm just hoping that they don't take much longer to get exclusive holders for the rest of the Giles/Faith line, I would hate to have to wait until we get Drusilla/Oz/Wood to get the remaining Giles/Faith line.

According to BCC Wood and Fyarl Demon Giles are the Previews exclusives from their lines. So unless they choose another few (what is doubtful since they always have just 1 exclusive per line), there won't be anymore Previews exclusives besides those two.
