When will the other versions of Drusilla, Oz & Wood be announced?
As soon are Giles & Faith hit stores
How many figures will be produced for each of the characters of the Drusilla/Oz/Wood line?
We're not 100% sure yet.
Will making a Robin Wood figure, allow us to get a Nikki Wood figure?
No direct relation.
Will there be any 2 packs or Boxsets based on the Xander/Cordelia line?
Not planned yet, but 2 packs are something we look at all the time as need comes up.
Will there be any 2 packs based on the Giles/Faith line?
See above
Will there ever be a figure of The Mayor?
Never say never, but not on any of our short list.
Will you ever consider doing Scooby Team Boxsets, seeing as there have now been figures of Buffy, Xander, Willow & Giles?
Sure we've thought about it, but you go much past three figures and the SRP gets a little high.
How long on average does it take for a figure to be sculpted? Which figure so far took the longest to sculpt?
Just over a month I'd say. I don't think one has been noticeable longer then the others, to get right?? Faith took the most rounds of internal revisions so that makes her longest.
Was/Is a Gold Pylea Cordy variant considered? Possibly in a two pack with Groo?
Not currently
If a figure breaks, or has a wrong part etc, what is DST's policy? Will they send a replacement? How about internationally?
We stand behind our stuff 100%. If you get a defective figure email Customer Service (customerservice@diamondselecttoys.com) and they will take care of you.
The variant choices are generally quite nice. Are there any certain seasons that you find better for basing figures off/that you tend to base figures off due to the seasons popularity?
We do try to look at more popular or touchstone episodes. Also, we skew toward the later seasons because MAC did lots of stuff from the early seasons.
If there are 3 figures in this line, can we expect fewer variants: ie. 2 of Wood, 3 of Oz, 3 of Dru
Not necessarily
With the scans of Nathon Fillion and Adam Baldwin done, is Diamond at least considering Caleb and Hamilton? (Hamilton would be as easy as putting a Baldwin head on a "bad Girls" Wesley body.
We've talked about both a bunch of times but they have never made it into production.
Has Diamond considered "continuing" the Palz line with Buffy and Angel Minimates?
We'd never make a Palz, so if we did block figures they would be Minimates and match that scale and style.
On March 10th 2007 it would be a 10 years anniversary since BtVS first aired. Do you have any plans to celebrate that? Say, releasing a limited edition figure
We've discussed it. Not sure if we're going to go forward with something special.
Will Robin Wood have variants?
Nope
Is it possible that a werewolf Oz figure would come with the library cage that connects to the library playset at a higher price point?
No plans for that, sorry.
With the move to the deluxe line (without bases) don't you think that creates more of a market for playsets?
Not sure what you mean by move, but no, the sales of the library play set are the number 1 factor.
Do you plan on changing the style of the bases? Maybe to interconnect?
All I can say on that is yes and no at the same time BUT we have no intention to make linking bases.
Do you think that you will ever get the license to release movie figures like Mcfarlane toys "movie maniacs" or Naca "cult classics" ?
If you mean several licenses mixed into one line, no that's not something we're working towards.
It was said in a previous Ask Diamond that there were only a few more figures of Buffy herself that you were interested in producing. What exact versions of her would be your choices?
I really can't say that.
What in the world is going on with Undercover Initiative Xander?
We're not sure right now but we haven't given up on him yet.
With so many people wanting new figures of Fred, will you consider redoing her?
Fred is not on the list of figures we're looking at for the next few waves.
Will we ever see Gunn/Harmony/Andrew/Riley/Adam/The Judge/Turok Han/Caleb/Beast/Skip/Bringers?
We're doing one from this list for sure.
Why is it taking so long for the Buffy Snowglobe and bookends to get approval?
Sculpting, painting, molding and approvals are a long process. That's one of the reasons we don't like to announce things too early. We prefer to do as much of the behind the scenes stuff as we can before announcing. I can say they are moving along.
Will there be any boxsets or 2 plans planned for the Drusilla/Oz/Robin line?
See above
I don't know if this has ever been asked but would you ever make a Fray figure?
We do not have the rights.
Do you plan on producing the Chosen "wounded" Buffy?
Never say never, but it’s not currently on our release schedule.
Will there be any more Serenity Statues?
Lets see how River does first.
But, are there any plans for any more X-Men 3 busts? Still holding out for Cyclops!
We've got some in the works but sorry, not Cyclops...

Not much to go on but I am psyched that one of those figures will be getting made! Of that list I actually want a Harmony least (Gunn most), but I am thrilled at how definite they were about the production of future lines. Hurray!

It's going to be odd not knowing what the variants for the Oz/Drusilla/Wood line are until Giles/Faith hit stores. I just hope that each character gets 4 figures with the exception of Robin Wood stating that he won't have variants, which means he will probably be from "Chosen".
As for the 2 packs and boxsets I really hope that they consider doing some from the future lines especially if they include villians.
I wonder if they will take our advice and release a Gold Outfit Pylean Princess Cordy with or without Groo, preferrably with Groo.
At least they have considered figures of Caleb and Hamilton, hopefully in the future we will see both.
I hope that they do make something Special for the anniversary of Buffy in March.
I really want Undercover Initiative Soldier Xander, I'm glad that they haven't given up on him yet.
As for Fred, it was said that she wasn't on the lists for the upcoming waves but at least they didn't say that there are no plans at all for her.
At least they have considered one of those figures from the list that was given. I'm really hoping for a Gunn/Harmony line next year.
Hopefully we will see the snowglobes and bookends soon, I'd really like to see what they look like.
As for the wounded "Chosen" Buffy, I wonder what they will do with her if they have no plans of including her soon.

Now they stated they stand behind their stuff 100% but are they denying anything is wrong with the Cordy/Xander wave?

Nah, they never said or implied that. They're just saying that if there is a problem, they'll make it right!

Wow. I'm not sure if that's evasive or open and honest. Anyone have any speculation? Maybe some will remain the wall bases while others switch to something else? Of course some recent lines have only had floor bases as well, so who knows for sure.

I'd love to get rid of the wall bases, they are just so boring. I really hope that they make bases that connect but don't have a full wall.

I think Gunn will be in the next wave. I see him being paired with Lindsey and Connor. Not sure why, but I think it's because Connor like Glory and Wood will be the "singular" third character - his body can easily be that of 'beneath you' Spike repainted Khaki.
Wood, I imagine that "bad girls Wesley" will lend his body there.

From that list, I see Andrew being made. Why? Because of his contribution in Chosen, and the growing Chosen collection that's developing.
Though, I'd still much prefer Gunn, and Harmony, but Gunn essentially. I mean, whats the point in having an Angel Investigations display if you don't even have all the core members?
Questions for #45:
--How long do you still have the Buffy/Angel license(s) for?
--Is the core 3 figure assortment of a wave based upon DST's favourite of the waves variants? Or just those predicted to sell better?
--What is your opinion on Gwen Raiden? As an only 3-episode character, is she at all likely?
--You seem to be plowing through figures based on "Chosen", though they are both in the 'regular' and deluxe lines. If you carry on to create most of the Chosen characters in the deluxe line (when/if it takes over), would you consider re-doing the 'regular' lined ones to fit in better?

I hope that they don't reuse bodies for Wood or Connor if he is ever made. These characters are built differently than the other characters. It might be easier to do that, it just doesn't seem right. I guess that we will have to wait until November to actually see what they will look like as well as the Variants of Oz and Drusilla. I still think that it sucks to not get at least 1 variant of Principal Wood.

I really am glad to see that they plan to include one from the Gunn/Harmony/Andrew/Riley/Adam/The Judge/Turok Han/Caleb/Beast/Skip/Bringers list!
I really hope it's Gunn and it's not a reused sculpt. I could probably see them making him in the Deluxe line reusing the Angel/Spike Deluxe body, but I would also like to see him in the standard line.
It's also funny that they are not yet releasing the variants planned or pics from the Dru/Oz/Wood wave until Faith/Giles. Either Faith/Giles will ship on time, or Dru/Oz/Wood are coming out much later. DST has yet to announce the exclusive holders for Giles/Faith other than the Previews exclusive Fyarl Giles and chase FHT Faith.
It seems that DST rarely releases figures in late winter/early spring. Most of their releases are late spring, throughout the summer, and then mid/late fall.
I guess that Willow/Kendra/Kennedy will be the next wave of Buffy figures we'll see after Faith/Giles.

I'm sure, if sales demand was high enough for the first Wood figure, they'd consider a follow-up (maybe in a spike two-pack, or buffy to clinch the sale for the common folk...) So their answer to our wishes for more Woods would be "Sorry, didn't quite hear that, tell us what you want in currency please?" Cash talks loud. (Which is why I am thinking the library can't have done awfully, w/ TST selling out...)

Well I guess my prediction of Chosen Wood and generic suit Wood, with the suit sculpt being re-used for Gunn was wrong. I can't see them choosing any choice besides Chosen Wood, which is fine with me.

Question for Ask Diamond:
Does Diamond foresee using the 'Deluxe' (ultra-articulated) design in other Diamond properties beyond Buffy and Angel, such as Stargate?
