I took some pictures of the new Spike Bust. 
I had the good fortune of being able to examine two Spike busts (to see which I prefered) so I was able to compare the paint jobs.
As with some of the recent 6 inch figures (Angel, Fred), Bust (Buffy vs Dracula) and the last ornament assortment, the skin-tone is still pale. On this bust it wasn't too distracting, though. I would like Diamond to change this latest trend and give their characters richer skin tones, but since I don't think my Spike Bust appears sallow and sickly (just pale), I can live with it.
One problem I did find was with the stain glass window. The stain glass appears to be a single piece with different colors throughout. The lead (metal dividers? I can't think of the right word) are then attached on top. One of the two Spike busts metal pieces were attached too far off to the side so that the metal piece ran right through the center of the orange cross. (Just something to keep an eye out for).
I'm quite happy with the sculpt, I think he looks really good. I definately recommend getting this bust, though I will say again, I really hope Diamond starts to add warmer skin tones to their future figure releases.

Oh I can't wait to get this one! I do hope it looks as good in real life as the photo though. I often still don't trust these promotional shots as so often the real objet ends up looking so different. Lord, it does help so much that they have a good scan of him.
I'm not that keen on the vamp version though. It has something a little 'odd' going on in the old face dept.

I think this looks exactly like James!!!!
It is almost uncanny!
Too bad I don't have enough money for busts

I can't wait for this bust, it looks amazing. I wonder if this bust and the Vampire Spike Bust will both be released before the Becoming Buffy Bust.

This looks very impressive. And the likeness to James is simply stunning. But my faith in Diamond is still very fragile, so I'm not trusting that It will turn out so good. So I'll wait for the final pictures, but barring that, I'll probably get this. The Busts are fantastic!

That Spike is probaly the best version of anything Diamond has ever sculpted Buffyverse wise. PLEASE do not let them screw it up. I won't be ordering until I see someone elses pictures of the actual item.

Time and Space Toys sent me a bill for this bust, I can't wait to get it. I still wish that the Buffy Becoming Bust would've been released before this one.

Thanks Karen for the pics , this bust looks amazing ! Now that this bust is released it's time for me to complete my bust collection. I think I will buy in the next weeks Spike bust, Buffy vs Dracula bust and Ubervamp bust all together.

Face is still a little off, and his hand sculpts look weird...but overall I HUGE improvement!

I agree with that. From certain angles, this bust looks very much like Spike. From others, it's clear that something is off. I can't figure out what it is though. Maybe the eyes?
Still not as good as the prototype...but a good effort nonetheless.

Very Pale Skin, but overall a very impressive piece. Turned out so much better than I thought it would. The stain-glass window is stunning too! Can't wait to get this! That's two thumbs up from me to DST!!
