If you mean via the web store, we do not have a time table for any additional shipping zones. Sorry.

Since there was a production error with Fred/Illyria, are there any hopes of getting a box set perhaps made in the right scale? Or maybe a deluxe Illyria in the right scale?

Sorry, but there are no plans to go back and do her again in the same style. As for dlx, we have not planned far enough out to say never, but she's not in the wave after Spike/Angel.

Will the new Buffy Figure from The Summers Family Album feature any new sculpts?

We're not ready to say yet, but it's a pretty good bet it follows the same format of past box sets.

Whatever happened with that new scan of Amber Benson you got? Any chance of it being used for a OMWF Tara? Hey, a guy can dream, can't he?

Still no plans for a OMWF Tara figure.

With another OMWF figure on release, will there be any chance Willow and Tara will be made into OMWF Figures?

Decent, not great. Same as Wesley & Lorne.

We do not currently have a scan of Mrs. Sutherland as an asset.

What is the missing Dawn?

There is no missing Dawn. I think you mean the error in Buffy Mag that said Chosen Dawn, but its just a typo. It should have been Chosen Buffy. There are currently three Dawn figures.

If you do release accessory packs, will they be like STAR WARS packs that fit every figure or separate for each character?

IF we ever did them, lots of them would be pretty generic.

What color will Buffy's eyes be on the new action figures? Green or blue?

Green.

Could you please clarify what the base will be with the "Summers Family Boxset"? Will it be similar to the existing bases that come with figures (eg a section of floor and a section of wall, painted/decorated to look like a certain set) or will it more closely resemble the Library playset (eg a sculpted playset specifically of the lounge room)?

The base will be section of wall and floor. It's the same idea as the current releases.

How many bookends and snow globes are in the planning process? And do you hold the Angel license for these items as well?

We have ideas right now for one of each, but that's all they are. Nothing for sure and no guarantee we'll do both.

As for the next bust is it close to the time that it will be announced? Is it Willow?

When the Spike ships, we'll announce the next bust.

Blue yes!

They answered all my questions, and each answer was upsetting... Also, poor sales, not a surprise since the poor figures. I have doubts the series will make it past 2006 if DST dosn't start raising the bar and making better figures.
I mean, look at some of their current lines, Star Trek, those look great, yet, Buffy/Angel seems to be getting the short straw.

Whoa that was a quick ask diamond- we only had one a couple of weeks ago. At least dst is pretty good in getting answers to us quickly- even if it's not the answers we want (ie no shipping overseas, no omwf tara/willow etc).

Glad we're getting blue cordy.

When they say there's no missing dawn, do they mean she isn't going to be in the two-pack? So glory is looking more likely??

I think they mean there will only be 2 solo-carded Dawns (OMWF, Lessons) and then the rest will be boxed or 2-pack. So there is no missing third solo-card dawn, which is strange... a 5/2 combo?

I'm really glad that Cordelia will be wearing her blue outfit as it was the one that she wore most of the episode and the one that she wore in the alternate Sunnydale.

It kind of sucks that there are no plans to do any more Fred figures to fix the mistake of the Fred that we all got. It's nice that they haven't taken her out of a chance to be made into a deluxe figure. It's kind of nice that it sounds like they already have plans for the wave of Deluxe Figures after Angel/Spike.

I'm thinking that the new Buffy figure will be an all new sculpt as for her torso and head and hair and they should be able to reuse her legs and feet.

It's sad that there are still no plans for a "Once More With Feeling" Tara, I'm hoping that after we see a Giles, Riley, Gunn and Harmony that we see a whole line of "Once More With Feeling" or at least figures of those that need them as Willow and Tara deserve them desperately.

It kind of stinks that the sales are just decent and not great. Hopefully the sales with Buffy and Dawn will be much better. Although I think that if they had released more Freds and the scale for these figures was more dead on than they would have sold much much better than they did.

I really hope that even though they don't have a scan of Kristine Sutherland, that she will have a good likeness.

No swappable heads, I totally understand but I'd love to have a Normal Buffy from "Nightmares" wearing her jacket.

Hopefully they announce the new 2 pack soon as I am anxious to find out if we will get another Dawn and Glory figure. Maybe this is the reason why there isn't another Dawn as she gets a new figure with the 2 pack and another with the boxset. I was thinking that we would surely mention it in the new Spectrum for December but they didn't not really anything Buffy at all other than the mention of amazing playsets.

What exactly do they mean by generic for accessories? I'm guessing that they mean nothing that was episode specific, just a bunch of stakes, swords and other weapons.

I'm glad that Buffys eyes will be green as that is the true color of her eyes, well hazel green anyway, the same as mine.

Although they have stated the base will be a section of the wall and floor, they haven't said what room it will be, will it be the living room or Joyces bedroom?

I'm really glad that my question was answered about the Globes and Bookends, but I wish that there was more information, and one of each, do they mean one globe and one bookend or one of each from Buffy and from Angel.

When will the Spike busts even ship. Hopefully it's soon as it seems as though I have been waiting forever. Well I'm just hoping that the next Bust is Willow.

what about Anya and Tara ? together forever Tara was in a 2 pack , and so there was only 2 but i am don't sure if Triangle Tara counts , where DST going to make her ?

Yeah 5/2 is a change to the normal format. That's a bit weird.

The buffy in the boxset sounds like she'll be some sort of repaint? That is what the previous boxsets were, right?

edit: Gachnar- i fogot about Tara. I don't know if they counted triangle tara as part of the regular line or not.

I didn't find this a very interesting Ask Diamond. I always assumed it would be Blue Dress Cordy, since that was the one she wore when she appeared with vamp Xander and Willow, plus she had it on for most of the episode.

The best news I saw was that they will do Joyce without a scan. That means they might still do a Harmony, even though they don't have a scan of Mercedes McNab.

I read somewhere before (I think in an Ask Diamond a few issues back) that they use the scans to get the porportions of the body right, but they don't create the sculpt directly from the scan. So hopefully it won't affect the likeness of Joyce's face.

I'm also happy that we will hear about the Buffy/Dawn boxsets soon. I can't wait! I HOPE HOPE HOPE for a Glory boxset!

I'm really sad that the sales for Angel/Fred/Illyria are not so great. I thought Wes and Lorne would have done better. Since it's two not great sales in a row, they probably won't attribute it as much to the scale mistake, but to interest in the line. I sure hope we get some regular figures after the Xander/Cordy line! I agree that with sales so low, we probably won't get anything after 2006. That sucks. But I guess so many people on the board are losing their passion for collecting these, that they probably don't care anyway. Oh well, it's been fun while it's lasted!

I'm hoping for a Glory for the 2-pack announcement! As for the last two Angel waves being decent but not great, I don't think Angel has as much support as BTVS. I would think the next two waves, but expecially the Buffy wave, will do well.

I hope the DST would consider reusing or sharing molds to make some of the less marketable charactors (such as Riley and Gunn) rather then not make them at all.

Kind of annoyed here that there are no plans out yet to makeup for the mishap with Fred. She's a beloved character and an essential part of the Buffyverse, if that's some how mistreated (regardless of who's responsible) then it should be made up for. I'm thinking a sweet, gangly, proportionate, somewhat frilly season 5 Fred is in order and if she isn't... >:( heads will roll :)

Physced about Buffy and Dawn now though, I want em BAD.

There's a lot of info in this one, straight answers to just about every question. No ground-breaking news, but it's direct and honest.

I say don't freak out about sales people. It says "decent" not bad. Clearly the line is being planned at least a wave beyond what's announced. We're in great shape and sure to get some nice new figures! The Buffy wave will be a smash hit no doubt, and pull in some more fans who still don't have the main character. Outside of deluxe, it's been almost 5 years since her last 6"... This next wave will be a huge boon to the overall line I think.

Not really any questions but I did want to mention a few things which hopefully may get back to DST
1.The autographed figures offered by DST is one of the best ideas by a company in a long time, and I'm surprised we haven't seen that sooner. Hope you guys keep it up.
2. I like the new base designs for the Angel figures. Any thoughts on making them interconnected between figures: for example a three or two figure release where each base is a piece that makes up a larger whole.(All right, that was a question, so stake me)
3. I think the sales issue is kind of catch-22. If you release figures in fewer versions you would have more sales but there's the possibility that the lines won't continue over a span long enough to allow future release timetables. So it's either release a lot and sell fewer,or release fewer but possibly not get the opportunity to sell later. You can feel free to tell me I'm talking out of the wrong end of a windtunnel if you think.

I think danman is right- the buffy/dawn line will sell well. Apart from cheerleader buffy, all the figures look great and completely different. Then factor in the xander/cordelia and i reckon sales will pick up.

DST do make some dumb decisions with their choices like 1 fred (and a dorky one at that), plus giving a popular character like cordy only 3 figures instead of having her anchor a line. And having too many figures look the same (wes & lorne).

Is it true that Battle-Damaged Puppet Angel may actually come out significantly earlier than originally planned? If so, will Vampire Puppet Angel be released earlier as well? When will Vampire Puppet Angel probably be released?

Thanks for the reassurances, DanMan. Diamond is so kind to give us these Ask Diamond Q&As every few weeks. I know that there is not usually ground-breaking info, but it is helpful for all of us out here in Conjectureland.

The clarification I wish they'd asked about was whether the three pieces of the Summers Family Boxset will have two pieces of the livingroom and one of Joyce's bedroom, or what. The last Ask Diamond was confusing, because it said that there would be bases that formed a scene, like the Summers boxset. But then it mentioned both of those rooms. Seems like it should have just been the livingroom, maybe with the windows or fireplace in the background.
