Last night at Wizard World Chicago, Palisades announced plans for a new Angel line of PALz.
At Wizard's party, guests received the Wizard World Chicago exclusive Angel PALz. He came bagged, with a card on top; the back reads:
"With Palisades Toys' buffy the Vampire Slayer PALz already a smash hit, it was only a matter of time before the company saw fit to... well, to spin-off. Here at Wizard World Chicago, Palisades is proud to unveil its plans for an all-new line of PALz, based on characters from the popular series, Angel."
He's got the same face and hair as the Angel from the Buffy line (both sides, human and vamped), and he's all in black with a black trenchcoat (I would guess it's Spike's, though I haven't had a chance to look at my own Spike to verify).

Woo amazing news thanks Miss Edith, any guesses on who will be in the first line up?
I guess Angel, Doyle, Cordy, Wesley, Kate and maybe Lindsey or the Death type man in the finale.

Wow! This is awesome news. Angel always gets left out of things, so I'm glad it's getting it's turn in the limelight. For Series 1 I'm guessing it will be: Angel, Cordelia, Doyle, Wesley, Kate and Faith.

Cool news. Look forward to an annoucement about the details of the line. As in, will it be packaged like Buffy with transformations and with each series devoted to a season, or will the go the X-Files/Die Hard route and blind package the figures. I'd guess we won't see anything released until early next spring. Hopefully, they'll get another PALz line or two that will justify producing a new set of molds so they can produce them more regularly.

Well said. I'm very happy about this, but a little worried. We all know that Angel isn't as popular as Buffy so I'm not sure how well this will do in the stores. I hope I'm wrong.

I'm glad they finally did this. Hopefully we'll get Doyle, Lindsay and Lilah, as well as an Illyria in series 5!

This announcement has made my day. Finally there will be a figure of Doyle somewhere. I really thought that he deserved a figure. I'm betting he's one of the first 6 with a demon transformation. I'm also glad because this leaves way to make a little Lorne and little Illyria. I wonder if they will release these around the same time as Series 3 of Buffy. So many PALZ. I'm hoping that Series 1 of Angel includes:
Angel, Cordy, Doyle, Wesley, Kate, Lindsey

Angel has some really cool characters that would make amazing action figures. Doyle for one! I think set 1 will have a slew of people, like Angel, Cordelia, Doyle (demon face too), Wesley, Kate, Lindsey and maybe they'll toss in Gunn?
Still, very cool.

Oh my God! He's so cute! I'm so excited about this line already, it's about time characters like Doyle got a figure! Ohhh, and a Five by Five Faith just HAS to be on their list right?
